Hey man, is it normal that the Pokémon card tends to 'bend' after the moisture-treatment between the pads? You think is it because Im using too much product? I always feel like the texture has changed after this process, in a bad way
@@osiride you might be getting it a little too wet. Or you’re not letting it dry all the way. Keep practicing, but keep the card flat in between the drying pads until it’s 100% dry. That’s when everything will come back together.
@@kurtscardcare oh, i see where I made the mistake then. Not only I might use too much spray, but I usually let it in the pads for just 4/5 hours and then take it out. And let it dry in the air. I see how this could be a MAJOR mistake now. The devil is in the details, thank you so much!
For the people that you mentioned get thousands of cards graded, where do they find all of those cards? I'm testing doing that right now but I only manage to find around 2-3 cards a week to work on
@@AP-qn4ex I’ve learned a lot about collectibles in my line of work. I don’t know how these companies got started, but it’s pretty unique. They mainly sell on eBay and other auction platforms. They have employees that hit card shows, online auctions, market place and buy constantly. After that, they have a warehouse where everything is prepped and sorted and graded and sold.
@@kurtscardcare wow that’s insane I’m hoping I can make a little side hustle by doing it just myself. Starting off on just eBay to see how things work out
Thanks for sharing. Great episode. Keep doing your thing!✌

Have seen the chrome issue on lots of panini cards. Kind of concluded it was dust on the card prior to chrome coating.
@@sgodhardt it’s weird, this one looks like it got splashed with something corrosive. Oh well, I thought I could fix this one, but it was worth a shot

Go to local card shops and look around, suggest maybe a simple hand magnifier, don’t think most are cool bringing the entire lab
