  • Recently, I planted a few new trees in my front yard to create a grove and additional screening from the road. I also fertilized my yard, which is something I try to do multiple times a year!

Love that you chose oaks (keystones of the ecosystem and biodiversity) and columnar oaks with the power lines in mind. Also, very much appreciate someone that knows how to properly prep a hole, tree, proper planting depth, and to not bury the root flare or cover it in much! Thank you so much for sharing and educating. Keep up the great work and thank you again for sharing with us :)

Your garden is impressive! I am so happy to find your channel! Your videos are visually appealing and informative. I’m gardening for my 3rd year and I am so thankful to learn from knowledgeable UA-cam gardeners like you. Thank you for sharing your passion, tips and tricks. I have started making garden update videos on my channel. I just need to perfect filming it’s very challenging in the bright sun. Plus I get dirt all over the place!! I hope we can learn more from each other and that we both have fantastic harvests!

HGTV is calling your name, young man. You are so charming, entertaining, adorable, and of course, a wealth of knowledge about all things outdoors and indoors. Great job! I happened upon your channel a few weeks ago and have been binging on your previous videos from a few years back since. Bless your mom and grandma for planting in you such a tremendous amount of love, for your genuineness comes across with such ease and sincerity.
    Thank you,

I feel the no irrigation system lifestyle. I cannot even imagine living in an area where this would be a common thing. I feel spoiled that Mother Nature takes care of all of that for me. The lawn, the gardens, the flower beds. Im not sad about it at all!!!

I was out at the veggie garden yesterday and a cloud came over (sunny day), thundered once and hailstones started falling on me. It was still mostly sunny! I was too far from the house to run in, so I stood under a big old cedar tree till it passed, me and my faithful collie dog. ☺️. It is so good to see your helper, Kip, at your side. Getting ready to put some junipers in the ground and was feeling unmotivated to dig, but this helped a lot. Zone 5 here too, in Missouri, so these are always just right on time! 😊😊. Thank you!!

I LOVED your ‘outro’ because when I watch your videos, shorts, reels or stories I feel like I’m catching up with my favorite neighbor. Thanks for enduring the sleet/graupel to bring us this video.

I don’t water my grass either. I use water for the plants around my grass. It’s never had issues and comes back when it does rain. It’s 2023, June, Zone 6b Michigan. My garden is coming along nicely! I’m very excited….I love your videos. I’m fairly new and binge watching today..😄

I am in South Dakota; I know what you mean about awful weather. My daffodils and tulips are just beginning to peek out of the soil; the lilacs have buds but no leaves yet. It is crazy how late it is. At least we are getting lots of rain to ease last year's drought. Good luck!

I'm sure ready for some warmer weather... will our record lows last night (yes I'm in Iowa as well) and the cooler temperatures this spring affect the trees??? I'm wanting to plant lots of trees since we lost 45 on our property due to the derecho... I have started with several fruit trees, and a tulip tree... I can't wait for fresh fruit!!!
Great video as always... your interaction with Kip is a blessing to watch...

Ohhh that delicious black soil. I have such soil envy. I live in the land of stone walls. Stick a spade in hear a “ding!” You hit a rock. What is the difference between rocks and stones? Stones are what you purchase at the stone yard, rocks are what you dig up in your own yard.

Kaleb you do a huge amount planting moving gardening and with your massive knowledge and traditional values of many generations, do you use or value any of the farmers almanac and astrological hints for more success in gardening especially with all natural organic practices...
