So good to know a great way to get a wide range of colors that work well together without having to spend a fortune! As always, I appreciate your time and attention to helping us get the most out of our crafting pennies! Thank you so much, Jennifer!
I ALWAYS like hearing about new products! More information is always welcome. The Ranger inks were a new one for me and the comparison was great. Yummy colors!
I had the opportunity to wash all three video of Ink for beginners, comparison inks and favorite inks. I have made notes and downloaded your free Ink Swatch, Thank you Jennifer for sharing your talent.
Hi Jennifer, I have watched your past videos on this subject, but I just wanted to say I love watching and learning from you. I have been a card maker/ stamper for about 8 years now and I tell you it's never to late to learn something new. You always bring out something I thought I knew yet I didn't. Thank you so much for always sharing your wonderful talent with all of us. Hugs LisaG
I just started watching your videos. I love how easy you're videos are to watch and understand. I like the information you give on the products you use. For a beginner like me, you're tutorials are fun to watch.
Great information. Thank you. I have some youngsters who want to start making greeting cards, so I appreciate seeing the colors available from these two companies.
Nice video Jennifer. I haven't done much with stamping because I don't make cards, etc. I can't get into another hobby. But I love watching all your videos and your are such a good teacher and artist. Keep up the good work.
Jennifer, Thank you for this video. I have been scrapbooking for several years but new to stamping. I am still struggling with ALL the different types of inks and this was a great video and explanation. Thanks Karen j
Fantastic post! I was feeling overwhelmed with the amount of varieties of brands and formulation!!!! I have fallen in love with cardmaking and scrapbooking, so I am slowly building my kit. I'll be starting with the ranger dye inks. Thank you for your suggestions! Also will pick up their distress mini ink sets #1, #2, #3. I am building my kit based on your suggestions, so for this I am very grateful to you!
I have been wanting to try some new inks from Lawn Fawn, MFT, SSS and Ranger inks. Thank you for your informational videos, I love to hear about other products and organizational ideas to store my supplies. Thanks Jennifer for taking the time to put together all your videos! Big Hugs
Very helpful video and I agree that matching these two together adds such an array of choice. Am a follower of yours here and on your blog. Gave it a thumbs up as wel.
Hi Jennifer: I always watch your video's, I get a lot from them. I just started making cards and scrapbook layouts and don't have a lot of inks so I was happy you made a video on it, Thank you always informative...
Jennifer, thank you so much! I've been struggling with ink, thanks to you I have the blacks pretty straight, but invested in all the dewdrops as my main colors, I'm not happy with them, I do love my distress inks, but needed a good set of colors, I bought both sets today and can't wait to give them a try. Thank you for the information. Diane
I have bunch of ranger both the archival and regular ranger. I also have many hero arts and almost all lawn fawn Inks. I find that lawn fawn and hero arts ink pads are much more juicy and they are easier to load up ink on the stamps. I also find making memories to match up to hero arts and lawn fawn inks. I had ranger inks first and thought they were ok. But now I would recommend lawn fawn or hero arts to someone starting out.
Thank you for the time and effort you put into making, editing and posting this video! I can only imagine the time it took, so I really appreciate it! I am reentering the fun world of card making and this really helps! I can honestly say, I have enjoyed each and every one of your videos!
Thank you so much for this video, I have been pondering about getting the LawnFawn set cause Im a beginner who only has Jet black now. so this video was amazing, I decided on going for the LawnFawns with the additional rangers ones :) Thanks!
I should have posted this 1st...TYVM FOR SHARING and giving us great advice and also appreciate all the research and testing of the new products and saving us money and time *BIG HUGS*
I just bought one of the Ranger Dye Ink Pads in Pink Gumball just to try it out & I love it! It is my favorite line of ink that I have tried so far! You get such a crisp image with these inks and they are less splotchy than Hero Arts Shadow/SSS/Lawn Fawn inks. I didn't notice much fading at all, but the color on the front of the packaging is a little different than what the actual ink color is. Or maybe I just got a weird ink pad. Haha. I will definitely be buying all of the rest of the colors! :D
Great video!!! I also LOVE your organizational videos. I just ordered the pockets and the storage bin for my clear stamps....I LOVE this idea!! Thanks so much for your advice. I am a new subscriber and can't wait to learn new things. I intend on going back to your past videos as well and catching up!! Thanks Jennifer!
Thank you jennifer!! You must have read my mind. I was just looking for a good base of inks. Thank you soo much you saved me lots of time and money. Bless you!♡
Thank you for this Jennifer. I am very interested in this as I do need better basic inks. I am a keen watercolorist so I am using a lot of Ranger distress inks at the moment. x
Jennifer! I love your videos so much! They are so inspiring and calming in this hectic world. I really want to get into stamping, but I’m struggling to find these inks. Do you have any suggestions?
Excellent information Ranger I always reach for. Lawn Fawn are not readily available here in UK & international shipping costs & rules make them too expensive right now. Hopefully someone will stock them eventually.😊
Paula Atkinson Makethedayspecial.co.uk stock the Lawn Fawn inks here in the UK as do onceuponastamp.co.uk. I've only ordered things from makethedayspecial before though so don't know how reliable the other website is.
+Threebeans Mombo I have both - they are similar but I find the SSS ink are different - not as bright like on the package as LF's are as advertised they are awesome colors and stamp really well
Hi Jen! I bought almost all the dye in pads from ranger and you were right they stamped nicely........BUT i just wanna ask why is my carribean coast looks like more blue and yours here are more like sky blue? Is like that in person or is it because of the lighting? Pls tell me i will highly appreciate your answer... Thanks! Grace from Norway!
What about Memento inks? Are they good enough for basic stamping? For stamping sentiments? I really really need some solid advice. Great videos btw. :)
Lisa Waitt just a different ink formulation. i find this one stamps much better. but archival has different properties which can be helpful in some situations. the ranger website is great at listing these properties
Hi Jennifer, Thank you for the video! I do have a question. I see that you can get nice crisp images with your stamps. Is that due to the inks? I tried stamping, with Distress inks, Color Box, and Versafine the other day but was unable to get nice clean edges, full images. When I ink up the stamps with the Distress inks, the ink beads up on the stamp surface, never coating it nicely. Resulting in a splotchy stamped image.
Hannah Wong Not Jennifer but noticed your post. I think the distress inks are more technique based rather than"stamping" inks. Images usually seem to be stamped with different ink to be crisp and then distress is used for techniques/coloring etc. I've used them when I didn't have a color but as you said they are/can be/ splotchy
Hello kazoomi! I really appreciate your reply! I've been buying many inks to try out. But it seems that different stamps get different results from the same stamp pad. It's slightly frustrating. Can't seem to get nice crisp edges like hers. :( so I was actually wondering if I'm doing something wrong as I'm kinda new to this whole thing.
TY for helping us with inks once agsin. But I must adk, which company of all you have listed delivers best company services for the buyers? I've ordered from a company in CA before and it took months to get just a $200.00 order. I'm not that impatient, but felt that it shouldn't of taken that long to receive from CA to AR.
Jennifer...this is my first question to you...I am fine with Ranger Inks, Distress etc, Black, White, Versamark and other embossing inks. I have the complete set of Altenew Injs for layering but do not often use them....but what on earth do I use my Lawn Fawn, Hero Arts and other collections of dye inks for? I have tried a bit of all over patterns direct to card but I have searched videos for...what or why do I have coloured ink for and how do I use them? I get the basic black, white, embossing, Momento colours I use a bit for sentiments but I see all these collections of dye inks...and mine is not small and I ask why have the!m? I have watched this and searched but I am blind or bot finding?? Help please .
No matter what I do, I never get a good impression with Dye Inks: always turns out blotchy looking. I've tried different stamps, different papers, different brands, still I get the same results. But in this video the Ranger inks look enticing so I will purchase a few in the hopes that my luck will change. Thanks
Hi Jennifer, I just wanted to ask you, I know when you were first talking about Lawn Fawn's line coming out that you were told that the ink would be much like SSS and HA inks that smooth out over time. Also that they would have a crisper edge to them in contrast to the SSS and HA inks. Did this prove to be true in your opinion?

Thank you so much, Jennifer! I am not a beginning stamper but I have struggled with finding the "right" dye ink for a while. This was a huge help!
Very helpful video and I agree that matching these two together adds such an array of choice. Am a follower of yours here and on your blog. Gave it a thumbs up as wel.

Hello, i was wondering how often do you reink your versamark and distress mini inks?
Thank you so much for your time!
- Felicia Brooks
can you mix pigment ink with dye ink? what i mean is can you use a layer stamp with both inks? one layer dye and the top layer pigment.

Great video!
What about Memento inks? Are they good enough for basic stamping? For stamping sentiments? I really really need some solid advice. Great videos btw. :)
What's the difference between this and the Ranger Archival Dye inks?
Lisa Waitt just a different ink formulation. i find this one stamps much better. but archival has different properties which can be helpful in some situations. the ranger website is great at listing these properties

as always great information
Which ink pad is best for clear stamps? I don't like it when they stain my stamps.
cookbook800 most will stain. that is the nature. MFT dye inks don't stain too bad
Would this still be a good starter collection??
Thank you !!!!
THANK YOU
Thanks!!
Beau DeLeon they are very close to SSS and HA inks. a little different
awesome video...
Great info:) thanks:)))
THANKS. SUE
