For 2008 Honda did a ground-up makeover of the CBR1000RR. Motorcycle.com visited American Honda,'s Torrancem, Calif. headquarters to get a look at Big Red's latest liberbike.
It's 2022 and still the best design for me 🔥🔥🔥❣️

@@uthantdillon3896hi, how is the 08'? Does yours burn oil? I made a consensus that the 2008s not all burn oil I'd say 70% of the 08s do have the oil burning issue, note - oil burning issue.. not the normal 1000cc oil burning thats normal to see oil drop a little bit but this can/is obnoxiously bad.

ALL 08’s are oil burners period. Had a riding buddy go down with 2 others to the U.S from Canada to pick up 3 Brand new 08’s in 2010 for 8K$cdn out-the-door. They had like half a dozen there at the dealership. Found them online advertising for 6,500$usd because of this “oil burner” problem; it didn’t leak, it burned oil like a MF’R; like 1 quart for every tank of gas fml. ;)

Best 1000cc sport bike out. I like this one and the r1. The only thing I like better about the r1 is the exhaust note

@CT1722 cbr i believe...though r1 might come really close
@janitorpants last time i checked, dirtbikes don't go any faster than 90mph

i got bridgestone bt0015f crap tires on my hanspree...
im looking at getting a new bike.. litre bike up from a 600..
Currently have an r6... trouble is, i cant see myself owning anything other than an r1... anyone got any riding comparisons or pros and cons?
i have an 08 cbr , and ive ride ,an 05 r1 , cbr clearly better not just perfermance but confort wise , the ridding position is not extreme on cbr but that small difference is way more confortable , because honda knows that most owners dont do trackday is a street supersport

It's not the most comfy bike I believe the gsxr1k and zx10r are more less aggressive in riding position compared to this bike.
What a ...... comment 😅 this bike has done awesome in wsbk and other superbike stock races/track events.. so as you were saying honda knows their customers don't do track days/race? Come again, isle of man tt, wsbk, 1000cc super stock and private track days.
