Apologies about the talking volume jumping around on the one. It was a bit different to what I'm used to being pro shot and has a filter on it prior to I got it. Lesson learnt and will have it sorted for the next launch 😜
My dad grabbed one of these after being out of the saddle for a few years, he's been loving it! I've given it a decent ride too and fairly impressed after coming off my MT09SP. Build quality is fantastic
Glad to see you on a launch mate, you've worked really hard to get here. Also I'm not sure why, but the volume seems to be jumping up and down randomly through out the video.
Thanks mate. Apologies about the volume. Since it was pro shot it was a bit different than what I'm used to. There was a compression or ai filter over the audio so it was tricky to level 😬
A fantastic review & presentation Crazy man Curtis! Roads there are perfect for this triple! Have you test rideen the Triumph 400X Scrambler? Im really keen on that little one!
Someone on here, called it a sadillac! Wtf! Its a great little bike, i own one, if you haven't ridden one... Don't diss it! Bit of a bargain tbh! Thanks for the video. 👍
By bringing the full power model? Doesn't look like it ATM. They are going to see what sales are like, majority of sales are still for the learner approved version
I would need to adjust to the seating position, but it’s not bad. I just sat on one, didn’t ride it. But the addition of cruise is really nice, more bikes should have it. Triumph always seems to be moving forward with their models, like em or not. Good stuff. 👍🤪🏳️🌈
Great video…have sat on these bikes in the past in the showroom, always had doubts over reliability and parts back up. Personally think they are a bit dinky toy looking …thinking a Kawasaki Z 650 would be better
Cheers. They got a good reputation for reliability, they are definitely a bit small that's for sure. I'd put it in a much higher performance category than the z650
Join any Triumph Trident group on social media and you'll see that people rack up over 40,000 miles with just basic maintenance and timely valve clearance checks. Ive ridden the Z650 and its horrendously boring. The quality is cheap and lots of plastic. Lots of ugly exposed bolts. The engine sound and feeling is dull and uninspiring. It also makes 10+ horsepower less than the Trident. Trident 660 has larger brakes and superior suspension. Trident 660 also comes in much better color schemes compared to the Z650. On top of all that, the Trident 660 is actually cheaper than the Z650 with ABS. Although, the Z650 can hold a tiny bit more fuel and i personally like the appearance of the Z650's TFT display. Other than that, Trident 660 is superior in every way
@onthebackwheel ha! Just realized this comment went on the wrong video! This was supposed to go on TheFabRats most recent vid. 😂😂😂 Love your content and the way you look at bikes. Sorry for the confusion!
@@onthebackwheel Really liked that bike as my next toy, but after watching it's not for me. I've been trying to find a bike to do it all, but from your and others' content I realize what I want isn't in one bike... It'll be two at least. I really like that V-Strom 800 as my touring and playing off-road bike and am looking for the right fit for my trail dual-sport, not sold there yet. I'm 6'2” 270lb, so the dual-sport has to fit me. That's where I'm getting stuck.

It's a good thing for the price hey
Man, what a nice video. I'm glad to see you out on some launches. You've put in the work to get there.
Thanks mate. Was pretty stoked to be invited
No pyjama pants AND a haircut !!! Someone's moving up in the world ....🎆 👍
I know right?! 😂

Another thorough review Curtis. That’s a good price for a triple engine.
Great looking bike too, it’d be a hoot to ride!
Thanks mate. Motor is a cracker
Good review mate 👍
Cheers 👊

Thanks mate! No ride on the 400X sadly. I don't think they have any to test ATM 😔
Nice review Curtis. The Trident looks like a fun bike. Your volume and hue are off on the video.
Cheers. Yes the volume was a bit fiddly on this. I didn't record it and had to play with it a fair bit

Are they doing the same with the Tiger 660?

No bark busters...skid plate....ground clearance is low and need a bash plate for the exhaust.....don't forget the knobblies....😁😁😁 Garth
Hahaha 🤣

Yeah they aren't messing around and seem to be taking on board customer feedback pretty quickly

If only they would do a TRIDENT 765
They never will because they need the 660 capacity for learner approval. Also they want you to buy a street triple!
The Sadillac is what I think that thing should be called. 😂
What is a sadillac?! 😂
@onthebackwheel a Cadillac, but sad. I thought it was obvious.

@@charon79m lol all good. I picked up it was a sad Cadillac but was trying to relate it to the Trident and was very confused
