Look at the bench today, all players that we've bought for decent money (Kuhn, Palma, Holm & Bielke) and he brings on a young lad when we're chasing a goal in a must win game. That sums up the clubs recruitment ambition.
Think that was a dig at the board tbh especially with Palma etc on the bench

It's all on Rodgers for me. Ange was able to insist he had a look at players and had spoken to them, he got a team playing well on the pitch as a result. Rodgers can flip flop and hide behind the board and the fans, but as Rodgers said smuggly outside Celtic Park "for the fans who doubt me, see you in May (wink and smile)"
Besides all the ref and var incidents we just don't have the character or mental strength in this Celtic team to overcome difficulties. Reilly is a decent player but lacks leadership and goes missing at critical times.
No surprise as we have been shite most of the season. Even with 11 men we would have found a way to drop points.

Maeda was shite under ange too, he just fitted the system well because of his pressing ability. Iwata couldn't get a game either so I don't see how it's Rodgers who has ruined him.

Decisions went against us big time but making only 2 subs and Maeda managing to stay on the whole game was a joke. All he done was give the ball away surely Palma deserved some minutes with the amount of goal contributions
I'm a Rangers fan the penalty was a joke tbh but it happened to us on sat there was a identical handball to lundstrums at killie in the box the exact same place it hits the motherwell players arm no pen no VAR complete shambles the state of the game in this country. And a player being pushed on to a ball he can't see being a pen is a shambles.

I'm not a Celtic nor rangers fan but in no way did the officials cost you that game. Hearts had a perfectly fine goal ruled out for the tightest of offsides and that penalty for the foul on yang was one of the softest calls I've seen this season. Rodgers has just ruined a good team, that's it. He has made ''best striker since Larsson'' kyogo look out of his depth and made the most attack minded team in this league look like Kilmarnock. You can talk about injuries but Rangers have plenty as well. It's Rodgers not the officials.

It was a penalty in the rules as written. There does not need to be intention.
That changed the game but we should have been one up from the penalty. There's no excuse for hitting a lame shot down the middle.

The only one which is clearly wrong is he Hearts penalty. The handball Hearts pen is obviously never a pen.
The penalty Celtic got was a 50 50 coming together, very very lucky to get that pen, I’d say it’s not a pen.
By the letter of the law the Yang red card is a red card. Regardless of intent or contact it’s dangerous play, the Hearts player is clearly going up for the header and Yang has time to decide, he sticks his boot right up in the air and it’s dangerous so the red by the letter of the law was the correct call

As I've said many times this season we're a pound shop club with average players. I've seen Celtic play with 10 men at Ibrox and dominate the game in the past, this lot shrank against a bunch of free transfers and loan players FFS. No guts and certainly no glory this season I'm afraid.
How is it cheating? You lost. It was a red card, it was reckless. It was a penalty, it was handball. The penalty you were awarded wasn’t a penalty either.

@jakegray8164 Look at the incident. Yang was stood, not in motion, no intent, no malice and as replays show, he barely, if at all, touched him. Yellow card for high boot was correct decison.
But two refs, both with form for dodgy decisions, watched it in slow motion and both deemed it a red.
99.9% of pundits and ex players in Scotland today called that and the penalty hearts got the wrong decisions.
One week ago celtic were denied a penalty for handball that was clear as day. And in the same game a hight boot at speed to the face of a celtic player wasn't even looked at.

The decisions were correct although harsh, if they were the other way around we would have not disagreed, the players are not good enough end of and the manager has no style of play , anyone who has been paying attention knows this was coming , most wins are just papering over the cracks

Hearts probably had a soft penalty too, but nothing we can do about any of it now. I’m looking on the bright side, we could be 5 points behind if Rangers hadn’t flopped yesterday, so we’re still in it. If we’re good enough we’ll prove it, only 2 points behind. Unlucky the day going to 10 men, last weeks motm am sure we would have strolled it with 11 men. The positive from losing a player so early allows us to see who has the quality and mentality to play one touch and beat the press, for me taylors not good enough offers no width as full back and struggled today, same with maeda his flaws stood out more today he's not a winger please stop playing him he offers nothing down the wing I find it baffling that he starts week in week out and people are happy with him doing nothing on the wing. He seems better through the middle but he would be 3rd choice and only used when 3.0 up to rest others. For me its simple start 2 real wingers palma and yang and we would see alot more chances being created and taken and putting games to bead a lot faster. When maeda plays it all comes down the opposite wing and if he's not playing well not many chances get created and the players and crowd get nervous and the opposition grows in confidence.

we can have all the post mortems we want but the team /squad was not strenghtened in the summer and now we are paying the price , the league title is now very much a toss of a coin, in many of the league games this season the team hasn't even got out of first gear never mind compete to win ,both rodgers and the lawel and son combo very much to blame. All a bit of a mess, to be sitting on all that money in the bank and not to buy at least two players of quality in the summer is criminal.

Our shocking inability to take penalties will cost us the league. Our whole dead ball set up is an absolute joke. We create hardly anything from corners, I can't remember the last time we scored direct from a free kick and the penalty stats are a complete embarrassment. It's the total opposite against us. Do we actually work on it during the week, it gives the impression of a Sunday league set up.

Had in my head all week this is when they'll go 5 clear. Even with their defeat I didn't change my mind. Hearts play 4 times a season. You always have hope but when you miss a pen and 10 men after 15 mins even at 0-0 was only going to be one outcome. My take on the controversial decisions: Celtic awarded a penalty - never a penalty as Cochrane did not commit a foul. The red card - by the letter of the law, correct. None of the pens were pens. Also that red card was harsh but we played shite and didn’t deserve anything. Suppose if we had 11 men we might have played better .

Do you not understand the way VAR works? The person looking at incidents with VAR doesn’t make ANY decisions, they simply recommend the referee to look at the incident(s) again on the monitor.
The referee makes every decision (bar offside calls). So Beaton literally made one decision today- to rule out Shankland goal for offside.
Before Today Celtic had been awarded 13 pens and today's was the first against Celtic if that's crooked officials can Hearts get some of that bias please?
