Put thick interfacing in for the soles and it'll be washable. LVE these soles..it's so hard to come up with good handmade ideas for them! Thank you and good thinkn!

Great idea! But wouldn't it be better using a plastic table mat instead of a cardboard? When you wash slippers for a while, the cardboard won't resist for long.

+Sheila Isaac Yes absolutely, that is a great idea! The booklet is from the war times, they didn't have other options than cardboard, but for a today-version, plastic is a much better choice!

Hi! Thanks for posting these videos! I m making crochet shoes and am trying to decide which soles will be the most durable. How durable are the cardboard soles? What about the wool? Will it wear out?
