We own an older home that was built in 1916. Two story. Several years ago, we painted a color that looks a lot like the Grandview. It is on all four walls, however broken up by a light ceiling and all the natural woodwork and doors. I will say it is a color I never get tired up. It is calming and restful. We are getting ready to refresh the room as it has been several years but are planning on staying as close to that color again. the rest of the house is cream neutrals with white. We have both bathrooms and laundry room don in Sherwin William's Rainwash, with white and it is a beautiful blue. I have found certain blues and greens done up in the right rooms are absolutely amazing. They are colors you never tire of.
Green is one of those colors that can be enchanting, or cause feelings of nausea (mint green comes to mine). Your offerings here encompass both. Thanks James.
I painted my main feature wall in the bedroom in Arugula SW a lot more saturated and intense, I guess a true green, not cool, maybe slightly warm, and I love it. It coordinates with the bedding as well without going into details. I love my kale greens for breakfast so this color symbolizes health to me.
I liked basil, kale and Inverness from this video. My favorites are vine leaf and village green from behr. Also silverado sage from magnolia paint. Village green and silverado sage have a lot of gray in them. Juniper berry sage by glidden is nice too.
I did my bedroom in SW Dried Thyme. It is one shade darker than SW Evergreen Fog. I love it! It's grayed out enough for me, is very cozy, and goes great with several wood tones. Sophisticated!
I think I found my shade of green! Basil! We have a lot of wood design in our living room and some white furniture. I feel like this color will complement both .
ok - I am sitting here smiling...My home office is painted Grandview !!!! (small room with 2 windows - it was the dressing room that I reno'd) It was done intentionally - I wanted my office to blend in with the very large Norway Maples that are outside the windows - all good. But for my sitting room/library - I am considering Basil...I want the dark academia vibe. LOVE THE NEW studio...looks great...but am I the only one who misses the Wall of Box!!!!
Thank you! I was just looking for a green for the bedroom, and there some great choices here. For the living areas, I tend towards neutrals but like color in the bedrooms. These shades are colorful but not eye-popping.
I'm just now doing my bedroom in Green Onyx - soft, warm, midtone (east-facing room). The first color I tested was Haven - in my room, it was too saturated, too green - so different from the chip!
Funny, I was just thinking of painting over my laundry room that I just painted in Retreat. It's so dark but I don't know if it's because I'm used to lighter colors. I have contented in my half bath.
I like Basil and Kale. I want to paint some dining chairs green and think Basil might work as long as it doesn't go too dark and just end up looking black. What do you think, James?
What's your thought on Parisian Patina? I put a sample up and it's the best of the 3 I have! We have a house in the woods along a blue/green creek, with lots of rich Cherry trim. It's an office room that gets lots of light, things that are too grey look oversaturated and off, even Evergreen Fog and especially Upward. Things that are too dark look too rich. Patina has a natural blue/green Juniper look that I really like. I'm just asking because it seems like no one anywhere uses or even talks about it, so I'm curious if you know anything. Thanks!
Has anyone tried SW Frosted Emerald? Thoughts? Thinking about using this as an accent wall with SW Alabaster on remainder of living room with very little natural light. Currently, I have a cool LRV 69.9 green on the wall that appears dingy and muted. Thanks!!
How do you feel about contented for a basement? Basement would be used as a small theatre/media space and the other portion is an office. I'd like something calm and soothing (not energetic). There is no natural light in the basement.
I’m thinking of doing my office in agate green with isle of pines for the trim, shelves, and doors. It has a big window looking straight out to very green mountains. I want it to feel like you’re in those mountains. I’m totally open to suggestions of other colors to get the same desired effect.
Has their quality gone up? I haven’t painted with Dulux in years but the last time I did, it was pretty watery (I was using their “Smart” paint in my bathroom). To be fair, it did create a great vapour barrier after the 5th coat that was easy to wipe off without being glossy.
I don't care for yellow-greens or, as I call them, caterpillar green. I only like minty green in ice cream. LOVE dark green paint, followed closely by gray-green. Will probably be going with Contented in kitchen. There's a SW color called Studio Blue Green that looks beautiful. May use for my currently-in-process home library.
Great choice of greens. Liking the darker greens. Favorite is Basil.
FINALLY a video from you I'm excited about. Except,I am not a fan of Sherman Williams. Could you do this again with Benjamin Moore greens. Please.

Agreed. Some of these colours said maybe, and some said ew. Probably opposite to what some others think.
I love Basil, Kale, Inverness and especially Hunt Club. & Grandview.

Ripe Olive sw6209 is my favorite green from sherwin-Williams!
Inverness is my favorite of the bunch, one that’s been saved to my Pinterest for a while for a future project.
Great inspiration for green colors! I am currently in love with BM Windsor Green and I'd love to see a video on this color.
Restful is my first choice. Just a nice mid-tone green with a soothing vibe. Basil is my second choice for an accent. Both great choices. 👍
I’m still enjoying my Evergreen Fog lower kitchen cabinets. SW got that green just right!😊
I am currently loving SW Thunderous 🤍dark muted army green color. Will probably end up using in my son’s bedroom
Loved the restful and Grandview . Thank you for sharing your views ❤

Restful and Basil would be my choices. Green has always been my favorite color so loved this video James.

I miss the wall of box as well. Thanks for all your support!
Inverness is my favorite of the bunch! It reminds me of cacti green and could really go well in a desert home.
Of these greens, I was most drawn to Inverness. Thanks for the video.
I really liked Inverness and will definitely pick up a swatch to see if it'll pull from the wallpaper I've been trying to grab colours from. :)

I’d love your opinion on purples for home offices!
They are very safe ...
But yeh i could live with any of those you chose ...
Your good at this ...
Funny, I was just thinking of painting over my laundry room that I just painted in Retreat. It's so dark but I don't know if it's because I'm used to lighter colors. I have contented in my half bath.
I looooove Contented!!! Thank you for this video! 💚
Love basil and kale green! I guess I like food inspired greens!
Favorite deep green by SW is Vogue Green!!!
Grand view!! And Hunt Club.
Inverness, please and thank you 🏴
I like the darker greens, Grandview, Hunt Club, Basil.
I like Basil and Kale. I want to paint some dining chairs green and think Basil might work as long as it doesn't go too dark and just end up looking black. What do you think, James?
Could you do videos on cascades and Rookwood green?
Grandview is likely to be my bedroom color in my new home.
I LOVE “Contented”
I love Inverness. I love green.
Favorite: Grandview. I'm surprised. Would have like to have seen the full palette TOGETHER.

Love your videos!
May I ask why you never talk about Dulux paint?

Which one of these greens or any other green from Sherwin-Williams would look good with really dark navy blue? Please help.

My room is bright lime green & black lol.

It is not easy being green ...but if
Wondering why no one talks about Filmy Green SW?
What are your thoughts on Softened green? We are looking to paint our boys room this color. Thanks.
It's a great colour.
Billiard green

Restful!
Basil or Kale…
I’ve been looking for green for months. Another YT decorator said not to put green in the bedroom.
Sorry no green in my bedroom.
