This video has some excellent quality close up footage of me practice riding the Prelim 12 filmed with the Pixio Robotic Camera.

There is a second run through of the test with narration added of the test itself as you would read it from the sheet.

Sonya, you are always my go to dressage rider when I've got a test coming up! Thank you so much. I find the commentary and how you guide us through the test fabulous! It really helps to know what to look for and how to manage the manoeuvres smoothly. It is also a confident and skilled rider who can comment on "what went wrong" as a horse is a living animal and knowing how to make something better makes us untimately better riders. So thank you and please keep the tests coming!

These are so useful for dressage test prep. Thank you. And it’s good to learn when it’s not quite perfect as this gives tips for how to deal with these too (although it looks pretty perfect to me!).

This is to helpful, thank you!! Any tips for getting your horse to focus when you go out? I find that when I got out with my horse he sometimes doesn’t really listen and then it isn’t as good as it could have been! Thank you xxxxxx

Hi I will be taking Dante to his first shows soon. We will start by hiring facilities then competing at 1 or 2 levels below that at which we train. Make sure your horse is very off your aids and trained to your seat not just the leg and hand. Work on relaxation breathing techniques. Some are best if sharpened up with transitions as you enter your lap before the bell, others need working in a relaxed manner. I find it helps to get there early, be well organised so you can stay relaxed and some I take them off the box, work them and put them back on the box as though they are finished. Then take them back off to warm up and compete. They are then more relaxed and familiarised with surroundings. Good luck x
