    You make circles and riding into your corners look easy! My circles always end up being quite wonky and my corners are more like handbrake turns... Me and my horse have a lot of practising to do!! Thank you for the upload.

    Thanks 😊 this video is really useful! I am new to dressage and was wondering if anyone could answer a question for me? My horse is quite green and we are working on him getting in an outline, he is learning quickly, but he only works like it 50% of the time.., my question is if we would be marked down for that? 🙂

    • @michellemerridale8949
      @michellemerridale8949 4 роки тому

      For now don't worry about outline. Just make sure he's going forward . He won't be on the bit and rounded unless he has good enough impulsive and strength coming from his hind end. My mare is not good at getting nice and round and we work lots on weaving through poles and lots of transitions . Good luck

    Found out I’ll be doing my first ever dressage test on the 15th Oct. it’s the 2nd today, hopefully that’ll be enough time for me to learn and practice Intro B by then 😂 thanks for making this video there’d be no hope for me and my mare without it!

    Hi Sonia, I was wondering what you were doing with you seat and body to keep the tempo, especially in the walk.In the walk with a fee reign are you moving your hips forward in order to keep propulsion or is that just the natural movement as you go with the rhythm of the horse.I did this test last night in Gloucesterishire on a riding school horse (and got 64.35%) and had a real hard time keeping the tempo and getting an active walk and trot.Other than booting him I was wondering what else you could do to get them to move

    • @equievolvecoaching5777
      @equievolvecoaching5777 6 років тому

      Talland? Great job. I "walk my seat bones" in the rhythm of his walk. Keep your hips supple and allow the horse to move you, then you can amplify the walk by moving your seat bones bigger. The inside one comes down and back as the inside hind is coming forward, whilst the outside one swings up and forward as the outside hind is grounded. There will also be a slight movement outside to inside as the horse swings his barrel out as the inside hind steps through and back in as the outside hind steps through and under the horse. This depends on how supple the horse is and if he has some swing.
