Honestly they should have stuck with FIELDS because he gave them really good potential last season and with this better roster I could definitely see them get 10 wins if FIELDS was still the QB. Can't say much about Caleb until he actually plays in the NFL but I see more of a chance of him being a generational flop than success atm because of how much the fans, club and overall league/media has been hyping him to the highest degree. For him to even live up to the amount of hype he has to beat CJ STROUD's rookie season minimum.

Ben had 2,621 yds passing, 17 td and 11 int. Sure, he and his team had a great record, but his stats don't even come close to CJ's. 4108 yds passing, 23 td and 5 int. Cj could've easily broken the passing record had he not been out for 2 games too. Love Big ben though, he's from my town here in Findlay, OH.

Peyton already told outlets that CJ never committed to the camp and that he apologized to CJ because he didn't think a false report would spring out of that misunderstanding. Please don't try to create drama where there is none.

That was a loaded Colts team that only got the 1st overall pick because of the neck injury to Payton manning who missed the entire year and they didn't have a capable backup and other injuries. There were several HoF players on that team. Luck had a great year for a rookie. Threw for over 4,300 hundred yards and 23 TD's in a 16 game season, not 17.
I think as a talent Caleb will take a bit more time to develop. No way he comes out like stroud. Stroud's a special talent. Williams last season in college showed a bit of regression. I didn't get the hype.

I think the media expectation is to measure himself against Stroud but I think the Chicago expectation is to measure him against Fields and Trubisky. He needs to be better then those two, right away, as a passer for the Bears to be the team they want to be in year 1. Chicago has been mired in QB mediocrity for much of its existence in the league so the expectations should be low. The talent level with his pass catchers in theory, enviable. But every situation is different. If he succeeds but the team doesn't get to the playoffs (they do play in a division with the Packers and Lions, with the Vikings a team that competed in spite of some adversity) Chicago fans will take that as much of a victory as they would if he got to the postseason. Because the QB bar has been so low there, consistency and competency will be considered a premium luxury and a tremendous victory for this FO.
