Not a guitarist, but I own 3 different drum sets for the same reason! It really helps with mental blocks to be able to just switch over to the different mindset that different setups require. Thanks for the vid and the awesome playing
@@DaleEvangelista It's mostly by brand. I have a Tama set with a snare, 2 rack toms, a floor tom and a bass. A DW with 1 rack tom and a floor tom and bass. And an old Ludwig set that also has 2 racks and a floor, but no bass. I only have Meinl cymbals so I don't swap those out, but I also have a pearl maple snare. I'm not too sure about the woods used in the sets as I wasn't the one that bought them (inherited/gifted over the years) but they sound rather distinct from eachother which helps immensely when exploring different musical styles.
I did not know the Iconic brand, I was convinced that I had a Fender and had had a handcrafted neck modified and inserted to have a flatter radius. Congratulations on the video, it shows all your passion for the instrument. Greetings from Palermo👋😌

The objective is to remove as many limitation as may be possible while still allowing the instrument to be accepted as an electric guitar.
I agree that different guitars will affect how you play. I have one I bend strings more often than others and one I do vibrato differently when playing it, etc. None of that was conscious, but stuff I noticed later So it depends on what I am playing & if I am playing with others. When I play the guitar I got when I was 18, I feel like I’m 18 again ( which can be good or bad)

Nice playing here... I am luck enough to work for the Smithsonian and have been making more money than I ever have in my life. While I am investing most of the surplus into retirement, I purchased a new Kiesel semi-hollow with their Holdsworth pickups installed, back in 2019. Quite a versatile instrument. Plethora of sounds to be had. Between that and older guitars, I have everything I could want...but wait...I play guitar...I make some decent money. What ought I do? Well, I'm going an inexpensive route this time and ordering three Squiers from Sweetwater. The baritone Tele, The Bass VI, and the Paranormal Jazzmaster 12 string. All still under $1500, collectively. Even with the fortunate luck of obtaining a decent career, I cannot justify the more pricy instruments. Music is a passionate hobby at this point in my life. However, I still want to create something new to me. I'm sure these will challenge my playing style. And I'm sure if they work out, there will be some mods happening as well.

Great video dude! I think another reason the tele feels so "direct" is due to the lack of a tremolo. The springs on a strat add a certain snap to the way it responds to a hard hit, but sacrifices some of the immediacy of a tele attack, and sustain of open strings. Love the backing track, is it available?

The bigger the guitar collection is in proportion to the lack of talent. When you get real good you know chord inversion and Jazz guitar you only need one guitar to create any sound you want. Most of the noodling warriors repeat the same 3 chord noodle day after day through a multitude of pedals or helix and still sound crap.
Absolute utter nonsense! Go listen to Steve Vai and google how many guitars he currently has then listen to Andy Timmons playing but don’t look at his pedal board. It’s extremely narrow minded to determine what a lack of talent is by the size of a guitar collection. That’s absurd!

This is totally true. I have few different guitars and every one of them feels different, I write totally different music on each of them.

No matter what you do and how you play, you're never going to get a strat sound out of an 8-string Larada, and vice versa.

It’s such a different sound. I think to get anywhere close you’d have to dramatically decrease the output of the pickups
