Joined a +13 pug today as a tank. BRH. The mistweaver, without saying a word, used thunder focus tea, shot out 2 instant enveloping mists, then put life cocoon on me before we reached the first pack. Needless to say I could tell I was in for a wild ride.
Shioya It realistically happens for me like, ever 30 runs(?) and is pretty much never that bad- and I've pugged exclusively since the start of Legion...

I havent had a pug like this in ages, worst case scenario people are underskilled and overgeared so we dont complete in time or at all. This is why I allways start a conversation and talk to people BEFORE starting my key. I say hi and have some friendly chats, if someone doesnt answer and is silent or starts showing attitude I replace them. As a result I havent had a group like this in m+ pugs ever. Worst case people get abit salty when someone fks up but then I say "what do you expect from a pug?" and move on. As someone who socialise and talk as well as show basic knowledge and skill I get alot of people adding me on battlenet wich I can pick up for later m+ dungeons. Its a mmo, just fking talk and get to know people and youll be fine. If you cant do that or dont want to then dont pug or play mmos.
Honestly, that shit happens all the fucking time, and some people can't make friends who want to do all the high m+, or are completely unable to find a guild that is actively doing m+, or even light raids... and honestly alot of people are stuck as the pugging outsiders.
applepie231 if you have the right time slots. To say nothing of those who are really put off by large groups in person. There are more then you think whom schedules quite literally make them unsuitable for most guilds and the guilds that do take them often never do high m+, as that's not fun for them, while the guilds who do high m+ can not sync time frames up, and that is kinda ignoring those with less then stable schedules as wrll.
Kerns Noel exactly what you said. I work 9-5:30 daily, when I get home I want to chill out and play wow. I don't want to sit with 10 people in my ear. My lifestyle simply suits pugs.
Matt Brackenbury Lol, yes that's sooo anti social. Having an unstable schedule is anti social, having a schedule where your play hours are literally 10p- 1a at the sake of your sleep is anti social. Oh, having a problem hearing one person when I a crowd or having a 1 on 1 conversation about w/e over a group conversation where only 3ish people dominate the chat. Life is more split then just being anti social if you aren't talking to 3+ people at once, or not instantly responding to someone via message.
That first boss was bugged for us on votw 16 last night as well. Adds kept spawning in well or spawning in corners and evading, we had to jump in the well to take care of em.
7.3.5 broke the whole game, i did an EoA yesterday where you "interrupted" the last naga mobs before the last boss, the animation of the cast still went off, but the cast never happened, confused all of us. And I'm pretty sure every dungeon has probably new bugs, even the bridge at the beggining of antorus made our tank fall below it and fight the trash down there lol
I had an experience JUST like that ..only it wasnt M+ it was a normal que for heroic dungeon ..it was so toxic it was a truely vile experience that left me literally shaking :(
Yes.Thoe the mage kinda started..never a good idea to bash the tank. And honestly as someone who has char on TN wich is heavy Turskish and Draenor wich is heavy SWE i prefer Draenor.
Hahaha just have to say I laughed my arse off at the first wipe. Not at you but rather at the typical attitude in WoW, and the internet in general! Keep up all the good videos by the way :)
Casual player here. It is damn hard to find a solid casual guild. Tried several since MoP. So many times, the guild either fell apart after a decent run of (non-mythic) raiding, or the majority of the guild only logged for raid time, AFKing the rest of the week.
The adds in Vault of Wardens first boss are bugged the ones around the sides Evade and the ones in the pool spawn rapidly you literally gotta berserk it at the point they spawn in as they are not easy to get to. Among a load of other bugs in Mythic Plus' at the moment ...
I've played once with that guy Sjöstedt-Kazzak, maybe 2 weeks ago. He did the exact same thing then, some minor thing went "wrong", then he flamed people for 5min, making one person ragequit and then the group disbanded. Pretty sure he does this in every group he joins, seems like it anyway.
Oh yeah, this happens alright lol. I mentioned it during the webshow, I had a DK tank leave, after the third trash pack at the beginning of +7 nelths because we pulled one extra mob, not a pack, just, one, single extra mob. went on a cuss fest and left the group. LOL. Fun times mate.
there is that super option when you form a group and you miss a certian bit of info about people who apply- whisper- is allows you to ask what spec someone is.. :)
And this reason is why im going to play range in BFA regarding queing. The mage was crazy...he wanted the tank to pull heaps, get lots of stacks and give you a heartattack lol.
It's an extreme example of toxicity at its finest. More specifically- two toxic players in the same group, destroying the run. The mage was pissed at the tank for not double pulling. Which lead to the shit talking and leaving you saw happen. One toxic player in a group can be bad enough. Two who go at it with each other? You're done for at that point; there's no good outcome to be had.
Tbh, if I was the tank, I would have done the same pull, seeing our healer is in shitty gear and I have no idea if he can do anything. The first pull is always the one I take slow, to see if the group is up for bigger pulls. The mage was out of line, but so was the tank that got tilted by the mage. Just toxic people overall.
Especially since you are running a lot of your own M+ pug groups, you may want to download Angry Keystones. It just makes things way more convenient (auto-adding the key, auto clicking dialogue in dungeons, giving % numbers on mobs, etc.)
EDarien Should be obvious. Tank added fuel to the fire and turned an already bad situation worse. Plus basically single-handedly depleted Preach's key.
If I had the choice of what to happen in a toxic shit run like that, I would prefer it to just end with the first pull and take the key downgrade, because going through an entire dungeon with a group like that is 10 times worse
It's not even that the adds were left up, they're bugging the heck out. They spawn, evade spam, and then teleport into the well. Not a lot you can do, did a number on my group this evening. M+ has been a major bugfest since the patch, mobs porting through stairs, others teleporting to keep necrotic up, heck, in Cathedral we had Mephistroth come out of shadow phase and spawn inside the wall.
Oi mate, where's that Hunter at Preach. I'm gonna keep bringing it up in the comment section that I doubt you're reading. Come on son, Hunter action you know you want to.
I can't even get into M+ 2 and beyond... as an 885 MW Monk. People in the PUG world as so damn picky because they want those quick and easy carry runs, tossing aside people who actually need the gear. I can't do anything with my guild because we're active at different times, so I'm forced to raid LFR, then drool around with a lower ilvl compared to everyone else.
The first boss is bugged to fuck after 7.3.5. the adds that spawn are mostly evading, some teleport into the fountain and some just go under the ground and keep casting
First group is like 1 out of 3 full pugs for m+ unfortunately. It's good to have a guild, even if they are not top10 worldwide these are still people. Being just a random dude from a pug gives people the feeling they can be asses to others.
Preach if you never saw that happen. This was one of the motives I quit wow 3 months ago. Each pug I tried at some point either 1 of the gr started insulting making us noobs for not pulling more or forcefully pulling more amd wipe. Also the majoroty of the find gr people don t even listen to tactics they think themselves above it cause they watched a guide or so. Going with a guild helped a lot but they are not all on or don t have time to do mythic cause they solo at 3 am in the morning or so due to timezone.
I know I got a guild, well actually multiple plus irl friends in there with me but meh I couldn't find one that really needed me as a tank cause most good guilds i've entered had a tank. They wanted me to respec and I refused. Got kicked from the majority because they did not need a tank.. well I sound like a crybaby xD but meh I tried for a month to find one. I tried to find one but the stress putting into finding one raiding for 2 weeks then disbanding it was my final toll. I did this like 3 times trying to stay in a guild but they ended up squabling over trivial matters and disbanded. My sad story
or either you don't know what my situation was or you're just trying to be a smartass either way I just told my side or my opinion. I've played wow since tbc in 2006 so I didn't had any trouble being a capable player getting guilds etc. but as the time passed the community changed and trust me it ain't the same as it was no matter how many lies you're telling urself. Actually I won't stay away :). WoW will always be in my heart regardless the deuchbags I encounter.
Not sure if it was said but Spirit link bypasses all healing effects like Mysery on Varimathras or stacks on Necrotic so it's a lifesaver for those fights
i'm in a guild that does M+ and Heroic raids. but when were not all on at the same time, i'm left pretending to live the pug life. it makes me cry inside every time
hey preach have you ever pugs a high key and when you put the key in someone says some mean things then leaves as soon as you put then key in i shear theres some mean people out there lol love your vids keep it up
That door strat reminds me of forge of souls in Wotlk where we all huddled in a corner until everything was there and then try to unfuck ourselves from the aoe that was dropped.
When that first came out I played as a holy pally and that tactic was probably the main reason I started drink heavily... That and the one in Halls of Reflection where you camp in one of the side rooms and LoS everything that spawns. Good times.
As a 934 druid healer, I tried my first +13 HOV the other day and I was surprised at how fun it was. I was scared to death to try - but it went great. Excited to try more. :)
dude did i hear right that you were interrupting the boss? where was the rogue on those interrupts or literally any dps? As far as pugs go i've seen some bad stuff, but never that bad that it blew up on 1 trash pull. Preach i'm with you, i normally stick to guild runs on mythic+ because ultimately i've found that at worst we wind up being limited to the 1.4-1.7M for each dps in terms of how high we can take a key as opposed to people being stupid or not following mechanics. Usually we can pull anywhere from a 15-18 with that, which is more than enough for us as we spend most of our time raiding. My favorite recent story was me and my healer friend were doing her key and it was a quaking week and at the end the tank (who pulled like an actual idiot and got himself killed twice for pulling more than he could handle) told her that if she was gonna carry me she shouldn't do it through such a high keystone (+17). I was being "carried" in his eyes because my dps was about 1.1M throughout the instance and the entire time the other two melee dps would literally run the quaking over me and force me out of melee to avoid dying, nerfing my overall damage/dps (yeah i know we were dumb for running 3 melee dps on quaking, but they had high raiderio scores which is what she cared about and it was her key). The amusing part is if you look at total damage done i was right behind the other two despite the lower looking dps number because those idiots killed themselves every other trash pull with quaking and every boss i was the last dps standing cuz they stood in stuff. That was my first encounter with raiderio as i usually just run with guildies and the whole time she and i were in voice chat and every pull either i'd say "OMG they fucking ran it over me again" or she'd say "these guys are dumb". i get why people use raiderio but seriously everyone i've met that was boasting a high score so far has been absolute trash at mechanics, especially the keystone mechanics, which seems ironic to me. i'm starting to wonder if some of them are getting carried through enough 15s either by the healer healing them through the stupidity or just having 4 people who can do it regardless of who the 5th is. That would explain why my experience with it has been shit and my healer friend swears by it.
One of Resto's big weaknesses for M+ is the atrocious damage we deal :(. Great to see you play the spec though Preach. I hate to be one of those people who critiques but one minor point would be to remember your artefact ability, Gift of the Queen also graints 10% extra HP so can be used proactively for groupwide AOE.
Hey preach, noticed you don't use Healing Wave. Just a reminder that Tidal Wave procs buff your Healing Wave too, not just Healing Surge. It becomes a decent heal for non-oh-shit moments and saves your mana
Pugs will always have the chance to be that way, no matter what. people used to leave after few bosses on raids, after just 1 wipe, when raids used to have raid-wide lockout, imagine how little they care about ruining your key. People know this, but they sometimes have no choice. I personally only go for high keys with friends and a weekly +15 run on alts, and it happens constantly when I try to gear up my alts. Believe it or not, there are still kids that play this game, with complete lack of empathy, which is kinda normal. As a side pvper, this happens a lot when trying to push rating as well, people feel no obligation to you because it's personal rating now, not team. Example: you may push 400 rating the day before, and then you don't hear from those players again ever, maybe they push higher or lower, but no1 cares about each other at all. Or you may get blamed and flamed for losses and never hear from those players again.
Man...those groups are the worst. I get what you were saying about it being more fun and rewarding playing with randos, but god damn if watching this didn't make me thankful for my guildies who I run with each week.
People now a days are just randomly toxic. Not sure how to fix this issue. I see all the great attributes of M+ but it feels like a chore just trying to get through the weekly key.
get into a guild that does a lot of high M+ or a very active raiding guild as they will prefer their guildies for their own keys and u needn't pug anymore :)
If this doesn't happen more often to you, given the time you spend in pugs, you're lucky. Not saying it's a daily thing for me but I've been through groups like that more times than i'd like to admit.
Was he mad because he didn’t do a big pull? I am so confused. Just anger outta nowhere.
Yea.
Any server with more than 2 people playing on it seems to have a very bad reputation these days.
Yeah. Kazzak is shit. Idk why they're so angry over there.
Yeah, Kazzak is definitely an interesting realm...

BRH+2 first mobs that heal.
Happens all the time in the pug world. This is why I started using raider io and try to always take guildies.
Shioya It realistically happens for me like, ever 30 runs(?) and is pretty much never that bad- and I've pugged exclusively since the start of Legion...
I'd say probably 1/10? But as a result I've pugged very little so maybe im just extremely unlucky.
Jumped into a Seat pug and the tank pulled the entire first section, died, wiped the entire group and then just left the dungeon

Gear level doesn't matter as much if you're skilled.
But it sure allows for less skilled players to overcome challenges with pure item level.
Gear level mostly correlates with how much you played the game and how much you give a damn.

Preach not using Ancestral Guidance? Its such an amazing CD... I cant go without it anymore. It also makes elemental really baller in M+ on big pulls,
i'm in a guild that does M+ and Heroic raids. but when were not all on at the same time, i'm left pretending to live the pug life. it makes me cry inside every time
It doesn't usually happen, but when it does, it ruins your day.
Which addon is it that tracks the tank's debuffs?
Gotta love the guild chat
Ah yes me and Kamina discussing the pros and cons of living in rural Norway
hey preach have you ever pugs a high key and when you put the key in someone says some mean things then leaves as soon as you put then key in i shear theres some mean people out there lol love your vids keep it up
That door strat reminds me of forge of souls in Wotlk where we all huddled in a corner until everything was there and then try to unfuck ourselves from the aoe that was dropped.
wait what happened the first time they went in??
whats preach using to track inturpts
Does it help if I tell you Sjöstedt is a swedish name?
7:47 the resout of an imature Swede and an equaly imature Turk I beleve
Tbh, Sjöstedt is a well known troll on Kazzak. Always there holding your hand in Trade.
Pally can freedom torment and they wont take any damage from it. Same goes for any spec that can break roots such as druids or hunters w/ posthaste.
dude did i hear right that you were interrupting the boss? where was the rogue on those interrupts or literally any dps?
Nice thumbnail ghosty, crushing walls OP
One of Resto's big weaknesses for M+ is the atrocious damage we deal :(. Great to see you play the spec though Preach. I hate to be one of those people who critiques but one minor point would be to remember your artefact ability, Gift of the Queen also graints 10% extra HP so can be used proactively for groupwide AOE.
Hey preach, noticed you don't use Healing Wave. Just a reminder that Tidal Wave procs buff your Healing Wave too, not just Healing Surge. It becomes a decent heal for non-oh-shit moments and saves your mana
also no need to throw the light at the add in last phase, you can stun them without it
Pugs will always have the chance to be that way, no matter what. people used to leave after few bosses on raids, after just 1 wipe, when raids used to have raid-wide lockout, imagine how little they care about ruining your key.
What addons do you use?
Man...those groups are the worst. I get what you were saying about it being more fun and rewarding playing with randos, but god damn if watching this didn't make me thankful for my guildies who I run with each week.
Honestly this was one of the funniest episodes!
That looked like a tough run and is good example of why joining a good guild can make the game so much better.
50 mins ohhh boy!
When I saw it was 50 minutes, my first thought was "it has to be arcway".
I was wrong. So god damn wrong.
Warden turned into arcway.
People now a days are just randomly toxic. Not sure how to fix this issue. I see all the great attributes of M+ but it feels like a chore just trying to get through the weekly key.
get into a guild that does a lot of high M+ or a very active raiding guild as they will prefer their guildies for their own keys and u needn't pug anymore :)
is the tdp a vod?
What legacy is coming next?
Welcome to the pug life. You're home now.
If this doesn't happen more often to you, given the time you spend in pugs, you're lucky. Not saying it's a daily thing for me but I've been through groups like that more times than i'd like to admit.
welcome to the pug world preacher
Well on the plus side, that tank just made 30k peoples block list...lol!
the pain... the pain on his face at the start...
That was just amazing to watch
I feel like due to all the pug action we are missing out on commenting on possibly the worst light throws in the history of the dungeon :D
I know it was frustrating but this video was fun. Sometimes the crazy stuff really makes you play.
