As a 1 year owner of an FL5, you described exactly how it is to drive this car including how to launch it way better than I ever could have. Great review, all the important details are here.
Those 2 indents in front of the car that don’t look like fake vents are functional, it’s to put downforce on the front wheels, the engineers explained that.
First saw you in the Jay Leno video, and every time since you’ve blown me away with your knowledge and being just such an awesome brand ambassador. Got my APB ITS on order, hoping it’ll come in march or April, finally coming back to Honda after driving Minis for the past 12 years. Appreciate you!
Wow, thank you so much for the feedback & support! 🙌🏾 Apex Blue looks really good and the ITS is really a special car. As an owner, I can say that you’re gonna love it! Hope you come back for more content 👍🏾
Driving a Honda (especially performance ones) makes the intangible tangible. In my opinion, that’s what makes the driving enjoyment in these cars so special ❤ Never was or is about bench racing on paper. Great video Jon! Looking forward the next one! #integra4life lol 🏎️
Thanks man, really appreciate the support and feedback! 🙌🏾 Yeah it’s all about the drive! Anyone lucky enough to drive either, definitely knows that! 😉
Thanks for the comment! The overall quality of plastics and parts in the CTR is really good. You’ll be pleased if you haven’t been in a newer model Civic before. It’s not a luxury vehicle, but it feels “premium.”
What are the chances of ever seeing some sportier gauges like the +R gauges on the DE5? Just the option would be so nice… I was heartbroken when I found out it got stripped from the Type S :/
Thanks for the comment & feedback! I’m not acting as a rep from AHM in these videos, so I can’t say what will come in the future. With that said, the gauges are definitely cool, so 🤞🏾
I wish more samples of the fl5 came to north america so that honda enthusiasts can have both ITS and CTR as buying options without added dealer markups. Thank you so much for the video! Great insight on the small design choices honda made as development went by.
Thanks so much for watching and the feedback! Yes both models are very limited in supply, but I think if you find the right dealer, they’ll be willing to work with you. New episode drops tomorrow, so come back for more!
Another great video! I really love the FL5 and ITS. The seats in both the FL5 and FK8 are incredible. Seats make a huge difference especially when driving in a spirited manner. Honda truly did an amazing job on the 11th gen civic as a whole. It's nice that you have so much practical space too. What a time to be a car enthusiast! 😎🏁
Thanks so much for watching and the great feedback! Yes, both CTRs are really awesome cars, good in different ways. Then you add in the ITS, and as you said, this is quite a time to be an enthusiast! Come back next week for the next episode 👍🏾
I respect the ITS and understand why someone would buy it, but I put my money into the CTR. I just felt is was a bit more special and engaging to drive and since it is not my only car I am not concerned by features such as heated seats. But for those who want more comfort and features, the ITS is also a great car.
Really appreciate how indepth you went on the walk around! Those valve stems are cool! This car and the integra type s are going back to Hondas racing roots!! I prefer the looks of the CTR but prefer how the ITS performs. I just cant justify the price of either when the TLX Type S has more to offer with better performance, creature comforts and most importantly AWD with 10sp trans. I can see the value in the TLX but can not with the CTR or ITS...
Thanks so much for watching and the feedback! Yeah, totally get what you mean as in terms of pricing between the different cars. I’ve spent a lot of time in all 3 and I can say that the actual performance is very close between them all. The real difference is in how they drive! The TLX is just so much bigger and provides a really fun AWD experience. Like you said, the CTR & ITS feel like old Hondas of the past, especially due to the awesome 6MT! I’ll have the TLX on here soon, so definitely come back for more 👍🏾
Drop the clutch at 3500 and you will have more than wheel spin. The front wheels will literally bounce off the pavement due to the massive application of torque. Quite exciting, but not actual fun. .
Thanks for the feedback! As someone who paid extra for a sunroof on my old Focus RS, I can understand. At the same time, I’ve been fine without it on my ITS! 🤷🏾♂️
Awesome job Rivers!
Thank you brother! 🙌🏾 Can’t wait to collab 😉

Thanks so much for the comment & feedback! What color is your FL5? You’re very lucky! Hope you continue to watch the channel! 👍🏾

Thanks for the comment! Yes, indeed, functional!
Thanks for showing the dash including rev lights. Also enjoyed learning about the shift beep.
Thanks for watching buddy! Hopefully we can continue to point interesting things like that 👍🏾
The stem valve is like that for track purposes.
Thanks for the feedback! Do you have a CTR?
Yes, I love it.
Awesome! What color did you get?

Thank you for all the amazing work you did on the Integra type S! I love the car and I wouldn't change a single thing!
Thank you very much for watching and the feedback! Do you own an ITS? If so, what color did you get?
@@Drive_Culture I got mine in white pearl with the red interior💪

nice review, extremely well balanced car. Thank you
Thank you for watching & the comment! It really is well balanced!
Backside of PV, nice, been driving those roads since I graduated in 2000
Thanks for the comment! Nice eye! Yeah love driving on these roads 👍🏾
amazing car
Thanks for the comment! Yes it is! Hope you subbed to come back for more!
What 's the quality of interior and plastic parts?
Thanks for the comment! The overall quality of plastics and parts in the CTR is really good. You’ll be pleased if you haven’t been in a newer model Civic before. It’s not a luxury vehicle, but it feels “premium.”
@@Drive_Culture So no creaks and rattles in the interior?Because other reviews have complained about this.Thanks.
The car doesn’t have a lot of miles on it, so nothing bad so far!

I actually prefer not to have a sunroof. I rarely use them when I have them, so not having it in my FL5 is nice!
Thanks for the comment! I completely agree!
Seems as fun to drive as my EN but less giggaly.
Thanks for the comment! Too funny, yeah the CTR really is fun to drive!
Anyone know if there are any switchbacks in this video?
LOL! Thanks for the comment!

Thanks for the comment! Sounds like someone has experience doing this! 😂
Just launch in second and Dave . 3 tenths of a second.
Nice everyday car🎉🎉😮😊
Yes, indeed! Would happily drive it everyday! 👍🏾 Thanks for watching.
Ill buy a type r when they add a sunroof and no im not kidding that sole reason is why i didnt get one

Yep! 😊
👏👏👏
Thank you so much for the support! 🙌🏾
Nothing like the FK8!!! FK8 is still unique and the best!!! 💪
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I actually really liked the aggressive design of the FK8, it was a love or hate for some people though!
Fl5 Wing don't match
Thanks for the comment! It was interesting to see the reaction to the spoiler when FL5 launched! 🤣
next time speak some Japanese for us...
了解です!Gotcha! This is an actual consideration moving forward! 🤣
