I love all of Matt’s takes he has a sort of neighborly compassion about him that doesn’t exist anymore , I’ve noticed on unfiltered mariah and heath are like that as well so it’s fun seeing him stand on his takes on this pod where i feel they are more new age and not as traditional
i’m glad it’s enjoyable for some people but oh my dear god i get so annoyed sometimes🤣 i think i just personally struggle with old fashioned views & think it can come across really close-minded.
@@kyliem201that’s how i feel about Erin and Mikes takes sometimes 😓😂 I think this new generation is more self centered and worried about themselves and old generation is more “people pleaser” community way of doing things , i think a happy middle of both is awesome because i do believe they both have pros/cons lol
@@Beecee07 i really like how the younger generations are learning to prioritize themselves and our own comfort more. there definitely is a happy medium, you shouldnt use it as an excuse to be selfish or a bad person. i think some older people feel entitled to things that have nothing to do with them & then create nonissues. i feel like this change has the potential to do more good than bad
@@Beecee07 i also think younger people are becoming more self-centered because as time goes on
it’s more & more of a dog eat dog world. we’re really just adapting to our surroundings. we don’t have the same time & energy as the older generations did to people please.
@@kyliem201couldn’t agree more. The world is forcing empaths to become selfish and only look out for ourselves because we literally don’t have the option not to. It’s a rough world right now. I wish I could live in a compound with my friends and we could all help each other!

I agree we should be very neighborly and kind to our neighbors, but also how I decorate my house doesn’t describe who I am as a person and as a neighbor like just because maybe I paint my house doesn’t mean I’m gonna go set yours on fire
mikes port authority comment was spot on. i’m a woman and i once went into the bathrooms and pee splatter from someone in the stall next to me was actively spraying into my stall. i assume she was squatting but jeez. they even have bathroom attendants!

You totally can hear earthquakes! It sounds like muffled thunder coming from the ground. Sometimes it’s rumbly and sometimes you’ll hear a huge crack. You’re not crazy! I heard this last one for sure and got it on video. You also hear all the rattling of windows, etc but you can totally hear the actual earthquake
I'll trade you the sound of an earthquake for a tornado, you can DEFINITELY hear them! and it is a sound you will never forget. The whole 'freight train' thing is kind of right, but kind of not. As someone who for several years ate lunch in their car by train tracks to get out of the office for a bit and have had a near miss of an F2 and a direct hit of an F1 (little damage beyond some damage to my building and wrecking my car by dropping my carport on top of it), the tornado is definitely weirder and scarier sounding lol
Even in a strong storm you hear the wind rise and fall, but in a tornado it just builds and builds and builds without stopping as it gets close and you just instinctively know you're in danger. It's a crazy experience!

that neighbor one was giving me a headache. an old man complaining about paint colors is so annoying. sometimes people aren’t able to prioritize mowing their lawn or making their house look presentable. we are all gonna be okay

This is my favorite podcast between all of the other podcasts they all have separately. I am a fan of all the others but when this and unfiltered drops the same day I always watch this first
If you’re 100% certain someone is cheating, TELL ON THEM.
I was cheated on for months and gaslit so badly that by the end of the relationship I was hospitalized because I didn’t trust my own perception at all and thought I was going insane. If any of the several people that knew she was cheating had told me, I would’ve known I was right to feel the way I did. I wouldn’t have believed when she told me I was being insecure, paranoid, and “twisting everything she did” when I was calling her out on shady behavior.
I called my across the street neighbors house "the Addams family house" but it never bothered me. They finally painted it and it is now purple with pink trim. I don't even notice it 99% of the time!
in my town there is a bright pink and purple house too and honestly i don’t really notice it anymore either😂

Im from the east coast of Canada and brightly coloured houses are a thing many places around here are known for and its seen as charming
The la equivalent to the port authority bathrooms is the Venice beach bathrooms.. where you feel like you’re suddenly in an airplane bathroom except underground. Not for the weak, but the graffiti is amazing ❤

Yes Matt! The feeling of contributing something to a dinner party rather than picking something up is the best, especially when people start complimenting it. I brought a pasta salad to a picnic with friends and then the next time we went my friends requested I bring it- ugh the best. (And it WAS the best pasta salad-the grocery store could never) 😅 I truly believe people can feel the care and time you take making something from scratch and put thought into it.
I follow you guys on good reads and i was looking at Matts list of books he's read and 90% of them are children's books. LOL

I live in a community with an HOA but they aren’t very strict about certain things and we don’t have identical homes (I would hate that lol). I agree with Matt though I don’t want to see eye sores. I don’t want to look at a bright colorful house, I don’t want to see someone’s lawn full of weeds/unkept, I don’t want to see an unfinished project for months/years, etc.
The exorcist movie scarred me and my sister as kids 🫣😅
