Yes and Jamaica recognizes children born to Jamaican parents abroad as Jamaicans. The children are applying for their Jamaican passport and moving to Jamaica.

As much as we want to deny it, most of it is because of America. Play Todd woman to drive because women didn't drive in countries as much as America, they invented smartphone smart TVs smart everything that's teaching people a lot lot lot. I can see everyone in Jamaica is sounding like American now exactly but I know it's the one world order creeping up on them. That young lady is very wise by saying you don't need to take up a man just to say you have a man, this is the thing in Jamaica they are dating everyone and also sleeping with them catching all these different diseases, just to say they have a man because the culture tells them they have to sleep with everyone. I want to move to Jamaica also my parents are Jamaicans and I have been visiting Jamaica a lot and my heart is still there. I love nature I love natural foods. America is great it teaches a lot of good things everything is convenient you can buy everything you don't have to wait in line too much for everything if you have an appointment to get it right away, you can make money here you speak nicely and everything but that's it. It's not that great it's very cold and the people are cold most of them. You can lose your mind here. A lot of people were born in America also are saying the same thing.

I would hope, but not really cause if at crime in Jamaica is young ppl doing most of it.. so if they were getting smarter come on they know that crime Jamaica would open up to more foreign investment and we know what that can do for Jamaica, so u can't say young gen is getting smarter but u can say some of thing probably 1% .. I am Jamaican and can tell you ..

IF JAMAICAN WORK HALF AS IN JAMAICA AS THEY WORK IN THESE FOREIGN LANDS, JAMAICAN WILL ABSOLUTELY MAKE IT IN JAMAICA, ESPECIALLY IF THEY HAVE THEIR OWN BUSINESSES IN JAMAICA.

They are doing it now in Jamaica. The young people have a day job, drive Uber on their days off and work as private contractors for overseas companies and get paid in foreign money. Young people there are doing the hustle there with no stress.

THIS IS NOT THE SAME AMERICA I KNEW AS A BOY. Things are difficult here now. Plus the CRIME / INFLATION/ HOMELESSNESS and the overall STANDARD OF LIVING is Going DOWN!!! A lot of people are SUFFERING here. So if you have the opportunity , make as much money as you can here and take your MONEY and WEALTH back to your MOTHERLAND instead of spending it all here ON CARS AND CLOTHES!!

It's just like the girl in the vid said. Most of us don't want to leave Jamaica we just need money. The job opportunities in Jamaica was not sufficient for the population, so people were forced to look else where for income. If you look back at it, this is the reason people work in the states or where they went for work and send money back home like clockwork; until that just got out of hand lol diff. topic. It was for survival. Also the goal of coming back to Jamaica was always there, but people get stuck on the 9-5 plantation. It's best to go learn a trade/ skill and take it back home to build.

Come on now , I’m Jamaican born and I love ❤️ Jamaica with my heart and soul but there’s a but and the but is I’m not going to bite the hands that feed me and that hand is AMERICA . America has opened the doors of opportunity for me and my children opportunities that are not available to many people especially the poorer class also wether you want to admit it or not unlike AMERICA 🇺🇸 with racism Jamaica is separated by classism this uptown looks down on the people downtown and if you live in a certain area no one wants to higher you due to the fact they will jump to the conclusion that you’re a criminal . To most people it’s best to live in Jamaica why ? Because they can thief light . Water and piece of land or even property and call it their own without showing how they come by it and this is just to name a few in the USA you have to work to pay your bills ,no thieving of lights ,water or house/ property . If you live in AMERICA legally and have ambition you can excel in your life the sky is the limit , of course life has its ups and downs here but there is a but lots of young people don’t want to live in AMERICA and be responsible but they would want to you to send them your hard earned money 💰 money that you have to work hard for in rain snow and sleet I’m not going to bite the hand that feeds me hell no . The race is not for the swift but it’s for those who can endure to the end and let me repeat this I do love ❤️ Jamaica with all my heart ❤️ but there is a but

Classism exist in America as well along with several other isms that Jamaicans in Jamaica have never experienced. You also work to pay your bills in Jamaica and can have even a better standard of life than you would have in America. Listen, nothing is wrong in loving where you are now, especially if you were from a lower class family who had it hard and now see a glimpse of hope after migrating. Maybe Jamaica just isnt for you and that is fine. If thats the case though, why are you under this video commenting negatively about Jamaica? If i were so happy about living in America and everything American i wouldnt even be watching this video. Unless no matter how much you claim you love America you still dont feel as if its your home and still need a sense of belongingness. Jamaica is my place and i will build it before anywhere else. I will also make sure my children have the honor of being born Jamaican. Dont bite the hand that feed you, but you also dont curse the womb that birth you.

Why do you crave the USD so much I’m a proud hardworking JAMAICAN and also a proud citizen of this country AMERICA 🇺🇸 this country has open so many doors for me if you feel like I’m bashing JAMAICA because I’m speaking from experience then hush 🤫 go take a chill pill 💊

It's true, moving away from the family bonds and ending up split apart across the US without help must be so exhausting.
It would be a beautiful thing if we could form a community of Jamaican immigrants to support each other, whether through mutual aid, link ups, having a roommate etc. We all need someone to lean on during these turbulent times.
What beats our ppl each time is the crab inna barrel mentality. I wish to move beyond this and hopefully back home retired sooner than later.

Jamaica has become way more expensive in just the time covid came and went. The usd-jmd has not dropped below 150 so keep that in mind. The government has now applied various taxes to even micro businesses here so those saying just start a business don't really understand. I love my country but you need money coming in to enjoy living here comfortably I'm not talking about lavish living either just simple enjoyment. 1 beef Patty is now $320 coming from $250 just to put things in perspective. Hustling is what persons are really doing now to live a somewhat comfortable life.

    • @lxxs742

$320 is about $2.24 which isnt a lot for people who owns business and are collecting in American prices as many business owners are doing. Tax in Jamaica is still not a lot compare to America or most places.

@@keys6 A specific type of crime is high in Jamaica which is mostly accounted for gang activites, not all kind. To say Jamaica is one of the most dangerous places would be incorrect when you are twice as likely to be attacked in the USA and other places, however you are also twice as likely to survive these attacks. When you survive it is otherwise ranked as a different type of crime which is high in other places, but isnt in Jamaica.
