    This is my testing of your message.
    Jesus’ “sword” did indeed cause division not “peace” in Matthew 10:34. It wasn’t about choosing to “stand for the TRUTH,” but choosing “to stand on your acceptance of Jesus.” He did divide families. Some members believed He was their Messiah and others didn’t. Luke 14:26 goes along with Matthew 10 and gives a better explanation. Our love for Christ Jesus should be so much greater than our love for family, that comparatively speaking, it’s as if we hate them.
    “All of the teachings of Israel’s Messiah were to bring His people, Israel, back to the word.” You left out some words. We are not Israel and these teachings are not to us. We, who are saved, are the Church, the Body of Christ.
    Concerning Matthew 5:17 you stated that Jesus said He didn’t come to abolish the Law (the KJB word is destroy), but you left out the rest of the sentence...”but to fulfill.” You are missing the point of Ephesians 4:11-13 you used for the “unity of the Faith.” It is found in the same sentence, “unto a PERFECT MAN.” Jesus was “a perfect man.” The one and only one who could “fulfill” the Law and also “abolish” it.
    Our Savior was made perfect through suffering. How all things concerning His sufferings were fulfilled and He cried IT IS FINISHED. The righteousness couldn’t be fulfilled by man, “but the righteousness of the Law might be fulfilled in us” because Christ Jesus “gave Himself for us” (Titus 2:14; Romans 8:4). When we are saved by l Corinthians 15:1-4 we become “a new creature “ (ll Corinthians 5:17).
    The entire Law of Moses, the past teaching for Israel, has been abolished by Christ on the Cross (Ephesians 2:15; Colossians 2:14). The Law didn’t save man, it condemned man.
    “Everything Paul said had to be in the Old Testament,” you said. How could this be? In Ephesians 3:4-5 Paul tells us that everything he was teaching was “new” and revealed from God to him as “the mystery.” “Which in other ages was NOT made known unto the sons of men.”
    The ministry of Christ in this Age of Grace, the teaching of the fellowship of the mystery, was ushered in with Saul of Tarsus’ Salvation in Acts 9. Christ named him a “new” apostle, the Apostle to the Gentiles, revealing (1)a “new” Gospel, (2) a “new” Organism (3) a “new” Body of Divine Truth (4) a “new” Period of Time (5) with “new” Blessings.
    The TRUTH for today is from our Apostle Paul.
    All of the New Testament Scriptures you used were written to Israel, under the Law. They are not written to us today, for we are NOT under Law, but under Grace. If you want to know “the Word of God” for you, what Christ Jesus is saying to you, then you must go to Romans through Philemon. We, who are saved, the Church, the Body of Christ, follow Paul who is following Christ, as our pattern (l Corinthians 4:16, 11:1; Philippians 3:17).

      Shirley Beavan My interpretation of what is incorrect? I gave scriptural references. Perhaps what I said goes against your denominational teaching. Is that it? Can you give me something specific.

    • @debwell7248
      @debwell7248 4 роки тому +1

      Shirley Beavan You say “He fulfilled the sacrificial part.” Yes, but that’s not all. Ephesians 2:15,” Having ABOLISHED in His flesh the enmity, EVEN THE LAW OF COMMANDMENTS...”
      Colossians 2:14,” Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances (what did God write on the tablets of stone?) that was against us, which was contrary to us, and TOOK IT OUT OF THE WAY, NAILING IT TO THE CROSS.”
      JESUS’ Cross killed all the demands of the Law of Moses; put them to death. It ended there.
      Are we now “free to sin?” Of course not! Look at Romans 13:8-9,” Owe (demand of) no man anything, but to love one another; FOR HE THAT LOVETH ANOTHER HATH FULFILLED THE LAW.” We can NOW do this as members of the Body of Christ “a new creature.” You cannot steal from God or man if you love them...the same goes with the other 11 commandments.
      We are empowered as “new creatures” (ll Corinthians 5:17) to “Love our Neighbor, “ and that is the fulfilling of the Ten Commandments. Do you see this, Shirley? 😇

      Please note a few points in response to yours:
      - Abolish vs. Fulfill: he didn't come to abolish BUT to fulfill, how can both words mean the same? I am not sad BUT I am happy. Fulfill in this sense means to bring full meaning, to fill it up.
      - Christ's death on the cross brought us salvation but did not do the law of Moses away. See Matthew 23:1-2. We must obey the laws but not what the Pharisees did. Please note, Jesus came to teach against the Pharisees because they added to God's laws and taught that salvation is based on the keeping of them and by doing so, built a fence around God. Jesus never taught against God's laws as given through Moses.
      - Not under law but under grace, please understand, Paul spoke about 7 'types' of law and he let the context define which law he was talking about. In this case, we are not under the law of sin and death but under grace, the law of sin and death that we are subject to since Adam's fall.
      - Regarding the replacement theology you believe in, please note that we are grafted into the commonwealth of Israel. We become part of Israel, hence the laws as given through Moses still count for us.

      We are Israel, we that believe in Christ. How do you not understand that?

    • @debraann8412
      @debraann8412 3 роки тому +1

      @@jeromeben6020 You have to believe in more than “in Christ.” We, believers in Jesus Christ’s work on the Cross, His death, burial, and resurrection (l Corinthians 15:1-4), are called The Church/the Body of Christ (Ephesians 5:23; Ephesians 1:19-22).
      In time past, we (Gentiles) had no access to God or His blessings except through Israel and their covenants. Gentiles had no hope, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel (Ephesians 2:11-13). But now, the middle wall of partition has been broken down (Ephesians 2:14) and Jew and Gentile alike can have Salvation through Him and become the “one new man” (Ephesians 2:15). 19, “Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints...”
      Because of Jesus’ shed blood, all men, Jew and Gentile, are saved in the Body of Christ. All have access through Christ Jesus. Instead of becoming part of the house of Israel and Judah, Gentiles and Jews today are partakers of the household of God, which is The Church (l Timothy 3:15). We are now rightful heirs “in Christ” (Romans 5:2, 8;7).
      Israel’s promises and covenants are still theirs alone. God will fulfill them as soon as the Body of Christ is complete and taken out of the way (l Thessalonians 4:16; l Corinthians 15:52). The Church does not replace Israel. God deals with Israel and The Church/the Body of Christ in very different ways. Just as Law and Grace cannot mix, Israel and The Church cannot be mixed. Because God is not a liar, the Tribulation and Jesus’s Kingdom on Earth will happen and the Church will be reaping their rewards in the heavenlies where their citizenship is promised (Philippians 3:20a) being joint-heirs with Christ (Ephesians 1:11-22).
      All of Israel’s promises/covenants are earthly and God will undo Israel’s blindness and return their sight and give them Salvation.
