Her portrayal of Gilda is so highly and sublimely artistic. Her Gilda is so vulnerable, innocent, and her voice heavenly. Who was the Rigoletto of this performance? He is excellent, as well. He reminds me of the great Bastianini, and Zeani reminds me of Callas!

Now I know who the baritone is: it is Aldo Protti, because I finally have her IL MITO DELL'OPERA compilation from her performances, Vol. 2, where she sings Maria di Rohan, Rigoletto (Caro nome, this duet and the finale), Traviata (Addio del passato), Aida (O patria mia, Tomb Scene with Vickers), Vissi d'arte from Tosca, Boheme (Mi chiamano Mimi and Donde lieta usci), the mirror aria from Thais, L'altra notte from Mefistofele, and Poveri fiori from Adriana Lecouvreur. Simply amazing!
