I know this is very early but I'm curious, will there be a use for gas giants, unlike spore? Like bespin from star wars for an example

Spore is immortal cause everyone loves the game
This game is coming together so quickly it feels like, I’m always excited to see more progress!
The Space Stage should be more akin to a hybrid of Spore's and Stellaris, where YOU have a protagonist ship but you can also coordinate armies and defenses, and setup worlds more generally instead of just wasting more money than most star systems are worth decorating 3 colonies.
IIRC, current plan is to have a ship mode where you control your ship in 3rd person as well as an empire mode where you move fleets.

I heard of Elysian Eclipse a while back but I've missed the updates for it. This is an excellent little showcase of what's been happening and how far it's come.

The solar system demo gives me a huge Astroneer vibe, which is exactly what I needed from Spore's space stage.
I make games and I am just so so so impressed by the progress of this project, everything here is well executed and going so fast, the team behind this must be really talented and hard working.

It's a single dev project. However some other people are contributing to it via composing the soundtrack for example.

I am quite looking forward to a game similar to spore. I love creating strange and bizzar creatures to fiddle with, I enjoy meeting my imagination run wild when creating the creatures or buildings. I’m looking forward to this game becoming an actual game, I hope to god that it will be really fun. From the looks of it right now, it seems to be doing well even though only one person working on it. I think only one person working in it.
I just thought of this. If Elysian Eclipse is ever finished, and it becomes this HUGE phenomenon just like Undertale or even the OG Spore... It's possible EA will look at it and remember Spore, and possibly go back to making new stuff with it to cash in the EC hype.

My favorite part of this update was when the blorb said "it,s blorbin' time" and started blorbing all over the place
With Thrive being stuck in limbo it seems, it's so nice to see a spore successor that's making such blisteringly fast progress!

God this game continues to impress.
I really hope this game and the various other projects that are trying to become a spiritual successor to spore get finished. I haven’t heard anything from EE in quite a while, but it’s really cool to hear that it’s already got the groundwork for space stuff and cities! Though idk how I feel about the aesthetics - but presumably they’re not final!
Just to confirm, EE is still very hard at work! I thiiiiiiink version 0.4.0 is the next to be released, hopefully this month. It's me who's been slacking on the videos, haha

Everyone gets burnout at some point, take your time and don’t push yourself to get videos out (if possible). Or do the exact opposite, idk, I’m just a random youtube commenter!
Yeah I just learned about that yesterday, I was really surprised that there aren't very many people making videos for EE. All the more reason for me to get back to it! (mainly because I *want* to ^^)

I hope the planets in this game are at least as big as they were in Spore's creature stage. They were ridiculously small in space stage.
Absolutely loving everything I'm seeing except for the medieval stage having 'magic'. Does that bother anyone else?
If it were to get online then that alone would make it four parallel universes ahead of Spore
Multiplayer is planned, but players are restricted to one stage, which means you can't reach the next stage before everyone else.

I love this Recreation but the "combination" of tribal and civilization was a terrible idea imo, those were my favorite stages from the original game
The tribal and civilization stages will be separate :) they're not getting combined. If you're referring to the building demo, it was more of a mechanical demo to get the "building" functions working

I wouldn't make things just for the attention or success.. Make the game because you WANT to make it ❤ I'm trying to do the same thing too, which is why I'm barely making videos anymore. Making tonnes just for the views and having them constantly flop was devastating, I don't want you going down that same rabbit hole too!
