I remember the 1st time i heard Little talks on the local "indie" station and thinking wow what a damn catchy tune. There's no way this band will put out anything else nearly as good. I've never been so happy to be so colossally wrong. :-P
Same. It's hard to follow up such a massive song and they have consistently do it. Shows serious talent to stay relevant after a massive hit these days.
amazing band. they all seem to be enjoying playing their music together. I get the feeling that they don`t give a damn about riches or fame just have a great time together!
+jean earnest They don't, they don't chase the lime light and so will never trip up, there disconnection from the music industry itslef and all its indecencies is what makes them so likeable amoung a large loyal following.
I got the solution! I`m wondering since month why I can't get rid of this few songs. Since month. Well, this is my result: I'm under this famous islandic spell OMAN spreads out. Ragnhildur Gunnarsdóttir is one of this FAIRIES. She uses her neuralizer and catched me. Nanna bryndís hilmarsdóttir ist the dearly beloved HEART of this band. Ragnar Pórhallsson is the bands own BRAIN. Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson: Well, I am drummer and I realize Arnar and me we have the same sense of HUMOR. Brynjar Leifsson: He is the one who makes the sound so special. Sometimes his playing reminds me on the Edge(U2). But U2s Edge is much mor naiv and shallow. Leifssons ideas are much more draught an is very important for the unmistakabel sound of OMAM. So he may be the DRUID. Kristján Páll Kristjánsson. Well, he is what all Bass player are: the SPINE. He may be the HERO in this fairy tale. What I'm writing here sounds like I'm a young dreamily teenie girl. No: I'm a aduld german man, down-to-earth and I have a family. Some OMANs Bandmembers nearly could be my childs. But OMAN makes me feel like I did when I was 15-22 years old. Weird! But beautiful!
OMG I just don't know where to begin. I never knew music like this existed. Alternative music was Nirvana and other incredible grunge bands like AiC, who are my favorites but discovering OMAM was insane..where did music like this come from?
Definitely. I’ve known about them for years. I listen to mostly folk music and rock folk. Irish and Scottish music and OMAM of course. You should check out Karine Polwart and runrig and dougie maclean, and clannad, they are Enya’s brothers and uncles, thou adter one of the uncles passed away they no longer do much other than festivals and such.
i swear she or they change the lyrics of little talks every so often... has anybody else noticed the particular line that nanna sings in little talks that get's switched every so often... listen to the album version of little talks and then listen to some of their live performances of little talks and she sings one line differently from time to time...
Felipe Prieto it's the name chosen by KROQ for the festival they organize every year in CA. But the sets are never unplugged. Acts usually play with their full band.
really BAD black and white processing, I might add. And horrible lighting. And horrible mixing. Literally one of the worst OMAM videos I have seen on UA-cam. Just all around bad.
OMAM is amazing, awesome band...but "this" video,,??!! What they think in KROQ? That they are Woody Allen or make an artistic movie ? Where are the lights ?!! I only see shadows and for what this black and .....black ?!! It's a shame that you're make to OMAM ..., California...
