Cattle Station Adventure! Catching Barra, Spotting Crocs and Getting Bogged!

We head back out to the station for some more adventures over a few days before we all get stuck back at uni. We get bogged in the new buggy, Antonio catches a nice Barra and we come across a bunch of cool crocs and snakes.

I've said this before, but I am still amazed at how very similar that are of Australia's topography is so much like our Florida Everglades! We even have (non-native) pythons and crocodiles but no Wallabies. I would have been tempted to turn that black-headed python into a pet or at least rehabilitate the poor thing by an enclosure and fed its favorite foods until he/she could get stronger. I know......nature and survival. I am curious what those stone or cement rectangular blocks perform on the edges of your bridges? To keep debris at bay during heavy rains? Jim C.

Yeah unless it’s been impacted by humans it’s usually best to just let nature take its course - plus it’s illegal to take reptiles from the wild. I think the blocks are so you don’t drive off the edge when it’s flooded and you can’t see the edges haha.
