- This is a demo of the Mooer Envelope Filter / Analog Auto Wah.
Enjoy!!!
On all my videos I use only the bass. I record it directly to the interface (Focusrite iTrack Solo) with no amp. All my basses have DR Lo Rider 045-105 strings.
Purchased this pedal after watching. I want the funk sound. Now I got da funk!
Great ! thanks
Bassist in one of the bands I play with picked this up and it’s glorious. Great full and rich tone without that abrasive top end some filters can have, but still cuts. Needless to say I bought one shortly after hearing it. Worth every penny if you ask me.
Ordered for bass, I'm waiting. Everything I hear and read about this gives me happy hopes.
Ordered one as well
I'm back to say yes. It's work great for both my basses (active and passive), just turn sensitivity left or right. If the decay set long, the upward beginning of filter's attack becomes noticeable, like "uaaaoouuu". Which is also funny playing in middle tempos. No any low-eating. Admirable size and admirable price, almost for free. I'm more than satisfied.
good demo, groovin' play.
Great pedal. I've owned one now for about a year and love what it adds when playing funky stuff. Sounds good on guitar as well.
Rock on!
That bass sounds awesome! With this pedal they're rockin 💪 Sounds sooo fonkaaay
Rock on!
🤩Outstanding demo Perty! I have this pedal and like it so much: no signal loss, clear and defined attack, even if slapping or hard plucking the tone never gets thin; a classic analog sounding stomp box, great with both passive and active basses as well, need just a little & easy twiggling on the knobs to find out the tone you look for and that's it. Price 2 Quality ratio @top🙌😎👍👍👍
Thanks a lot
You're welcome Bro!
Great playing, and seems a great pedal
Sold! Beautifully played.
Thanks
i got this pedal today, im so happy, it’s a perfect partner with my boss oc-2 with my main axe fender pbass 57. 😎😊
Great to hear!
Nice playing ☺️
show muito bom sua demonstração e o pedal também super de qualidade .
Thanks
אלוף!
Like an auto wah. Reminds me of my bassballs pedal. It has a fuzz switch but ive never seen anyone use one.
Word on the street says that was a mutron III with dying battery but Flea uses a q tron live so who knows.
Nice. I've been shopping for something with that 70s wah way sound.
Go for it!
@@pertybass Btw. Do you send to filter the preamplified signal from MXR preamp or it's bass to fiter directly? I can't see the patches direction.
Курлюк Эбатыр directly
@@pertybass Ok, thanks! May be the bass is active? The threshold of sensitivity set low comparing to my passive instrument (mine is about 1-2 hour o'clock) so your input to filter signal seems like a bit pre-boosted.
Курлюк Эбатыр You are right, I’m using an active bass in this demo
I bought one and it finally arrived. But I think it’s broken, because it doesn’t sound like that! I’ll give it another try
You are not the first to say that, I wonder why... maybe they've change something
מפתיע מאוד... קניתי איזה סוויפר זול שנשמע על הפנים. אתה ממליץ?
יש לך לינק?
Man I pair this with a MXR Script Phase 90 and it funks
Great
Do you feel like you lose low end when you engage the pedal?
Absolutely not. On the contrary, more lows
Hi, exellent video as always!
This pedal, Sweeper or MXR m82 (i own it)? I know there is class, money etc difference BUT... In natural feel bla bla, which sound you the best and compare them in order 1, 2, 3 if that not bother You.
Thx in advance! :)
thanks. I don’t have the MXR anymore. But both of them are great
Where can I get this pedal? Love the sound of your bass!!! I need this
I have no idea, try www.prymaxe.com/collections/effects/mooer-audio
No talk just playing thanks
Thanks
Just got mine today, really great pedal, but for some reason whenever I engage it it gives really bad feedback. Turning my amp volume way down helps a lot. Any tips for that?
That's strange. try to replace batteries. I also use a compressor pedal
Made me laugh, very cool
Thanks
Hi, just out of interest did you demo this with an active bass? I’ve struggled with active basses and envelope filters!
This pedal works great with all my passive and active basses
Thank you for the video! How can you control the dry vs fx sound similar how mxr m82 has?
There is no dry on the Mooer
Good day I have the same pedal. Where should I put it in the chain? I have compressor, OC3, Octa (a little like sub n' up), mooer envelope, delay reverb. Or can I say what is the right signal chain in general? 🙂
The listed order sounds sensible to me. 🤷🏿♀️
How does the tone sound to you?
I have bought one now and i m tryng it now, i have a jazz bass passive but with active emgs.. the pedal dont make the same "quak" as yours, it look very "sick".. why?
Don't know. Try playing with the sensitivity button
@@pertybass its made for guitar obviusly.. but for you sound functionally
I have Mooer bass sweeper. What's the difference?
They are very different
The bass sweeper is like this one but with a little turtle talking inside
The Mooer Bass sweeper is a knockoff of the Electro Harmonix Bass Balls but with the addition of the "reso" and "range" controls which is a sometimes common mod of the original.
Bass Sweeper has FUZZ setting. THAT's the major difference. Range = Q, Tone = Reso, Envelope = Sensitivity... roughly... So on the envelope you have a Decay option, but on the B Sweeper you have a Fuzz option. The fuzz option is very fun. However, you CAN just run the Envelope INTO a fuzz pedal. So the Bass Sweeper can save you pedal board real-estate.
Note: Bass Sweeper is fun on regular guitar, too, but harder to dial-in the sweep spot. It IS more aimed at bass, where the Envelope can handle both a bit better.
I see a Flashback 2 wired to a Ernie Ball Tap Tempo on your pedalboard. How did you get them to work together?
Look for the instructions in UA-cam of Talkbass
@@pertybass I read all documentation I could get my hands on for the pedals, tried several different patch cables, looked everywhere you mentioned and elsewhere, can't seem to find anyone having an issue, solving the issue nor any confirmation of the pedals working together other than your pedalboard. Maybe my tap tempo unit is malfunctioning..
@@beardbassrulez6874 Hi !
Look at this, it’s the same solution:
ua-cam.com/video/ZqzRO9X8phI/v-deo.html
@@pertybass Thanks dude, I solved it yesterday after watching this exact video again, I tried not plugging my TRS patch cable all the way in on the Flashback and it worked that way!
Can you set this pedal ‘half way’ - as you can on a real wah pedal, so it just captures the tone rather than the wah effect?
Not sure what you mean by half way, but with the settings it has you have a lot of control. There's not much else to change on the filter. Setting a low q and sensitivity will give you a more subtle effect
Envelope filters like this don't usually have that capability, but LFO-based autowahs (the ones that sweep up and down in a cycle like a phaser does) sometimes do.
Dave Dixon thanks mate - that’s very helpful.
The wah and the dist are in two different chain? Im courius to listen them in the same chain
They are on the same chain
What u think of this ?
Like it!
to play n.i.b from black sabbath, do you prefer this or bass sweeper?
None of them. You need some king on phazer or an auto wha
Not quite thundercat tone I'm after but better than paying 3x as much for an MXR pedal
OK Thanks
A question - I'm using a compressor pedal, should the envelope be placed before or after the compressor?
אהלן. אפשר בעברית...
אצלי הקומפרסור בא אחרי הפדאל, כדי למנוע קפיצות של ווליום.
Active bass?
Yes
@@pertybass that's an important distinction you should mention in the video description
@@boimesa8190 ok got it! But actually my mistake, I watched the video again and the bass is in passive mode. Sorry for that
@@pertybass ohhh no problem :)
How can you be sure though?
@@boimesa8190 if you look closer at the switch near the last button, it’s down, Meaning the bass is in passive mode.
