God bless your family for being kind to the kids. I love Bethel. I am sixty, too young to have gone to woodstock but I visit your beautiful area about two or three times a year.
@Eastonfan1 Sorry...I meant my wife and I met Mr.Vassmer in 94...I took a pic. of him and my wife...I broke my leg in the Woodstock field and my wife went to his store to buy some souveniers she promised to folks back home...as soon as she walked in he mentioned about me breaking my leg![how did he know?] He gave my wife the things she wanted and didn't charge her...glad we got to meet the man!!
great video, viewed it years ago and forgot to comment,.....anyone could tell in seconds in the woodstock movie that Art was a genuinely nice person, and his wife is the very same.
I love hearing these stories but I wish the interview was done in a quiet room. With all the back ground talking. It was hard to hear this woman. You notice all the hippies were skinny at Woodstock. Today people are out of shape. Thank you to all the hippies for making history.

THANK YOU SO VERY VERY MUCH FOR POSTING THIS!!
I remember the gentleman that owned that store from the movie. Very personable. I really liked him. RIP.

Mr & Mrs Vassmer were what I call “good people”.

@50alan2009 Do a Google search, looks like she's a town historian in Bethel. It's the first link.
