That's Clark's blame.....Clark is the ball handler and is suppose to GO GET THE FRUGGIN' BALL - especially if you are the team's best long ball threat, but if you look at the last play closely, CLARK QUIT. She intentionally dejectedly moved AWAY from the inbounds, to the other side of half court, essentially leaving team center Boston alone to take the pass. Clark was probably pissed that Boston didn't tip the jump ball in Clark's direction. NO excuse, I say again, NO excuse for Clark not going to get the fruggin ball. That's her job....it sure in hell ain't Boston's. Nobody will blame Clark though...they will blame Boston.

This is a comical comment. She leads the team in steals and blocks. Had several great plays in this game. Also leads the team in rebounds.
She knows what she's doing on defense, and is fine. A bigger issue is that she is slightly frail, and is getting run over by a lot of these short, thick players. Caitlin will need to go on a weight training and nutrition program next offseason, to put on 5 to 10 pounds of needed muscle. Hopefully it won't affect her mobility or shooting.

The fumbled ball led to a jump ball whereby Boston had a 4’’ height advantage and the Storm player didn’t even jump to try and get the ball. Boston lost the jump to someone who didn’t even jump. Just goes to show how bad Boston is.

We have a couple of good homer announcers for Iowa football, but have to say, these women have a GREAT homer announcer. We need someone like him covering the Fever! Always give flowers when they are due 👍🏼

And seasons to come ... it seem the Fever need to trade Boston. This is what happens when you select #1 overall twice in a row. The Orlando Magic had the same issue drafting Shaq then drafting Chris Webber but they traded Webber for Penny Hardaway which worked out. If you know the story Penny a 6-7 PG was smart out everyone involved and ran the show he made sure Shaq was happy which is why they were successful. Much like Shaq, Boston was drafted minus a trade because CC play PG like Hardaway so there was no need. Boston has become the forgotten player instead of being the 1st option like Shaq was she's 3rd or 4th and the Fever can't hold on to leads. The Magic was successful because by Shaq being the first option teams would collapse in the paint and Shaq would kick it out to the outside shooters Dennis 3d Scott got the name when Penny would kick it in to O'Neal and O'Neal would kick it out to Scott for 3 pointers, but Penny, and others took advantage of the attention Shaq drew. The Fever invested so much in promoting CC they are not able to get all of what CC has to offer because they made CC its #1 option. The Saints drafted Reggie Bush, the didn't make him their #1 option he was more of the big play threat, using him that was allowed the saint to win a SB.

I would bet that Caitlin Clark would have been a Fighting Irish instead of a Hawkeye if it wasn't for Muffet McGraw retiring and Notre Dame going with a rookie coach with Niele Ivey after Muffet McGraw retired. Caitlin Clark would have been a freshman for Niele Ivey's first season and therefore probably didn't want to go through having a rookie coach, even though Notre Dame has a very successful Women's basketball history of 2 national championships and 7 overall Championship games. She stayed home in Iowa with Iowa's veteran coach.

This is Jewell's breakout game of the season. Now she better find the consistency to do it every game. It's a good thing that Coach Noey limited Skylar's minutes when she noticed her shots weren't falling still. She hasn't played in two years, better amp the fitness first. Her shot might start to fall when she gets comfortable playing once again.

I’m sure they don’t feel good about it… From what most people have been complaining about so far, it seems like the coach doesn’t know her players that well, and the same goes for the whole team. From training camp to the first game until today, they’ve known each other for about a month. I don't know if that’s enough time or not, but they need to make some adjustments. Whether it's taking better shots, playing better defense, improving rotations (!!!!?), or devising a better strategy to close out games, etc. Good luck ladies 🔥

No one else in the league is getting guarded like Caitlin Clark. They are doing their best to limit her but she still scores 20+. The best thing that can happen for the WNBA is Clark scoring 30 points a game.

Being benched by the coach during defense is the same thing as the coach telling CC that she sucks at defense...If she was the coach of last year's team, she should have been fired before this season started
How many of yall caitlyn clark fans who say caitlyn clark is gonna help the entire WNBA, are actually gonna buy a seattle storm jersey? Tickets? How about merchandise? We all have a favorite player, but dont pretend like you care about the entirety of the WNBA when its clear most of yall don't.

CC fan here. I didn't watch a single WNBA game last season. This season, I've tuned into every single Fever's game. I've also watched the Chicago vs Dallas game. And the games I didn't watch , I checked the boxscore on ESPN. My point is, game viewership is up this season across the board. And the significance of that is better TV/streaming rights deals (more money) down the road. So that means, as the WNBA profit increases, so will every single player's salary. More TV viewership also means more exposure for the players, which equates to more endorsement deals, especially for the top players. TV/streaming right deals accounts for a much more significant percentage of WNBA's profit than money from merch sales and tickets.
@@5511rafa none of that means anything when you have people, some of which are in this very comment section, declaring that they will not support unless its caitlyn clark. How is that good for the rest of the WNBA? not to mention the media barely covering other WNBA teams.

Eh I they only beat the previous record set 2022 that was only beat by 200 more people which are mostly CC's new W fans but that crowd was about 90% Storm fans who were excited to see Nika make her debut (it was after that announcement when Seattle sold out on those tickets fyi)

@@Josh-vl4bj Yes we didn't know she was only gonna play 3 minutes. Its not like coach Quinn said "I'm only gonna play Nika 3 minutes" in the pregame press conference. But the game itself didn't sell out until it the news her visa was approved she was gonna play that night. Don't get me wrong that's not saying CC didn't have nothing to do with the influx in fans. She is the new hype no one can over look that fact.But if it was really only on about CC wouldn't every fever game already be sold out by now? Especially if you looked at all the Nika fans/new storm fans coming up to her after the game
