- A neglected pond is revitalized in the Ozarks. This video explores the process of restoring a pond to its former glory, showcasing techniques and strategies for a thriving ecosystem.
Ep #5! But before we get into today's project video description here is the video link to EP #Join4 when we burned the big slash piles, which is where we will begin today's episode from:

Join us for our latest mini series from our new 575 acre Missouri Ozark's farm as I begin to tackle the severely overgrown and unloved pond on this beautiful Missouri Ozarks property. This will take some time and effort with my Bobcat E42 R2 series mini excavator so I will tackle in sequence for a new mini series, until I get things completed. Join us for the 5th episode of this ongoing Pond reclamation project mini series. This summer I've been clearing all of the decades old growth and woods from around this pond (the house pond) and as you'll see by the size of some of these locust trees it was really overgrown! Since then I've cleared more than half of the wooded overgrowth, built a small swimming/sunning beach and have been letting the slash piles dry up some. So today it's time to burn it down! If you'd like to catch the first 3 episodes here are the video links:

Good progress on the brush clearing and burning!
Will really look good when grass grows and you can mow it.
Yep I soo look forward to that! But hey we enjoyed a few nice days while they lasted! Now more cold and rain and sleet!
I was sweating your loader arm hydraulic hoses in that mess! The new to you track loader would knock that out super quick. The pond will be looking great this summer and Mrs K get her bullfrog dinner she’s looking forward to😉
Don't know why he's using the small tractor when he's got the big one now.
Yeah I know it! And the stobs were GNAWING at the underbelley where there are lots of wires! I looked under there and good think I taped up all the small wires with HD industrial electrical tape, and it seemed to work as I could tell it was chewed up!!
It's way more nimble and easier to operate, I enjoy that small one much more.
Nice work kapper as always
Thanks! I'm excited to see what it looks like reborn!!
Nice job buddy
Thanks man. Thought about you today went back to Columbia.
@ l go back 11th again thanks for thinking about me brother
To me that area of Briars looks like Puncture Paradise 🙄😕 as some of the thorns from these old Briars probably be at least an inch long 🤔😵 good video Mr K 💪💪
Thanks Bob, I was able to cheat old man winter out of some decent field success time! Now back to cold and rain!!
Need some of that green slime to put in those tires.
Yeah but sometimes I don't like using that stuff because if you do want to get the tire patched many dealers won't even work in it if you put slime in.. That's the drawback I guess
Kapper this is dozer work, what going on man? sidebar note get you some old hay bales and some diesel fuel. use the wind to tell you where to place the bale/s soak the bales with fuel and let the fire du its thing . Love the show my man.
I won't have the dozer for weeks yet!! Trust me I am ready to roll! But they are still fixing the AC and waiting on parts. So since old man winter gave us a few nice days I had to at least take advantage of it! Thanks man, don't worry it won't be much longer now til it IS DOZER TIME!! :0
you need that track loader for that nasty stuff
OH NO DOUBT!! But they are still working on the AC waiting on an AC line, then recharging. And then off to get a new windshield! So at least I was able to cheat old man winter for a couple of days on this one! But the ground is muddy nasty!
When you get that new loader, dig a big hole, and push all the ash, stumps and left overs into it, and fill it back in.
Well there will definitely be more new opportunities and uses with it and for the land!! Can't wait!
Keep plugging away One section at a time. That's gonna look like a manicured park come spring time.
Noticed you've been using the NS more than the RX since the contaminated fuel issue. Is there a reason you use the NS more?
Yeah I look foward to bringing this old pond back to new life! Yes I love the hydro and nimbleness of the NS much better than the RX! Thanks man
Makes perfect sense to me. Only asked as I'm planning to retire one of the Fords this Fall. Just starting to do my research on these new machines.
Briars burn like crap but they bushhog fairly easily. So get the brush hog out and get you more fresh air and Chomp the heck out of them!!
Roger that, but they were a tad too thick and tall for my bush hogging comfort. But I get em knocked back now!! :0
I kept on saying, "Joe just burn it you got the road, you got the pond why aren't you just burning it!" Then you said Sharon needed the honeysuckle okay I get it.🙂
lol I do plan on buring a lot more soon! Once I get that dozer making fire breaks will be much easier and faster!! I'd love to burn off them hay fields!!
