By making the setting of the show fun (space) and the characters compelling (the celestial bodies), our viewers are more proactive in wanting to learn more, even beyond our show. Even people who passively watch SolarBalls can start naming dozens of moons and planets. For us, the best education is the one that happens without you even noticing. Basically turning education into the lore of a good story 👌

The Earth:Luna ratio is more equal than for any of the other planets and moons too. At least the main planets, not the dwarfs.
Titan also influences the tilt of Saturn.
Actually the planets (but mostly Jupiter and Saturn) are very important for the sun, as they hold most of the solar systems rotational energy. Stars form out of collapsing gas clouds which are very large and based on the conversation of momentum, the smaller they get the faster they spin. A lone star that forms without planets or a partner star is very rare, because without other objects to store all that rotational energy the star might literally rip itselfe appart before it fully forms. Then again, those objects have already soaked up all that energy, so they don't need to stay in the solar system, as their one job they had to do is already done.
Jupiter is actually so massive that it causes the sun to wobble, and not just a tiny bit, but so much that there exists a barycenter between the two.

actually the only reason the sun would need the other celestial bodies in the solar system is not be lonely, because 99.89% of the solar system's mass is in the Sun, and 90% of remaining mass is in Jupiter and Saturn , 10% for the rest, so if every thing was to disappear except for the Sun nothing would change and the Sub would continue it's lifecycle like normal, at least that's what i found from searching :P
Yeah, i think he needs them because is afraid of being alone. But he has a great ego and is very explosive (which reminds me a bit about how earth used to act before he changed, even thought he was egocentric and self-centred he was afraid of being alone, and when he REALLY was alone it deteriorated his mental health alot) so i think the sun will have a similar experience .
