That's the first time we've had a complete headlamp and dynamite box together in a mine. The other stuff was fun to see, too. Thanks for watching and commenting, Jeff!👌😁

Hello, Case. Yes, some nice artifacts in this one. That is the second lamp we have found. The first was many years ago outside at the bottom of a waste rock pile. A heavy rain had washed it out of the pile, and it was headed for a big wash, so I kept that one. Thanks for the comment and trophy!

Yes, it's only the second one we have seen after exploring over 1000 mines. The other was only half there and was washed out of a waste rock pile after a heavy rain. Thanks for the comment, Daniel!👍😄
Tom, Julie, In the last video, you came across that beam about 3 ft off the ground with that hook device. Did you find out what it was used for. what got me was that it was so close to the ground. These videos are a real joy to watch because you will hike sevveral miles just to get to the mines.Thank you.
I never did find out what that beam was for. I really liked that blacksmith work on that hook, though. It's nice that you get some joy from our videos, Karl. Thank you!👍😁
now that is some cool find you two ....the harder to reach areas always produces the best stuff ...looks like they were using a skip bucket to hoist the muck with ....really loving that Carbide lantern ....that is very rare indeed ....good job ....really nice looking Powder box ... good job making the 200 feet .... you might want to use a chest ascender ( Croll ) ....we smashed that like button and now we expect you guys to rappel more shaft ....so you know what we are gonna say huh
Yes, some good finds in that small drift. Apparently, not many people have been down there. I figured they used a skip bucket with that flat car. We've been down a lot of shafts on rope over the last few years. That sort of thing is coming to an end at my age. (67) Thanks for liking and commenting, Jeff! Much appreciated Sonny J.👍😄
I just new me old mucker would be very interested in the ore cart, you could use that in your mine, YEAH ! and the miners lamp, it would be nice to see them at work in a real time situation.
Boy you sure got lucky, you had enough rope. That miners lamp was cool. That poor Fox. Thanks for taking us along with you guys. Looking forward to the next video. 458 views in 1 hour. Pretty cool man. That looks pretty hard climbing back up. You guys must be in pretty good shape to do that.
Yes, the rope length worked out perfectly. We had more rope at the top but we would have had to climb back up to get it. As I was going down, I thought for sure the rope was going to come up 10 feet short. Yes, some very cool finds in this one. We see a lot of foxes at the bottom of shafts. They must come into the mines to hunt rats, at least that's my guess. Thanks for the comment, brother Eddie. Hope all is well with you!👍😄
Great explore and what cool finds. That car is a bucket car. That's my name for them. I ran one in Searchlight. Filled the bucket up and took it to the shaft where it was hooked to the cable. We had to ore buckets. While one was heading up to dump, i was already filling the other. Still hold the record of 22 buckets in a day, all wet from a flood.
That's a great comment and story, Richard. I guess I had it figured right then. Sounds like you were a hard worker in your mining days. Thanks for the comment!👍😄❤️
This was a good one and took lots of work on your part. Yes there where lots of goodies to look at. I know I'm late to the party, but I've been running my big mouth on Twitter and it take lots of time.. You guys have fun and most of all stay safe.
Winner, winner, chicken dinner!! Wow, those finds were fantastic. The miner's lamp put it over the top. I'll bet you guys slept good that night! Thanks for taking us along!
There are some cool artifacts. Tom & Julie thankyou for your awsome videos .Afew years ago i found out i have got COPD and this year has really affected me badly, to the point i'm vertually house bound. So your videos allow me to go places that are such a joy for me.once again thank you for the hard work.
So sorry to hear about your COPD and how it's affecting you, Karl. That is really too bad. We get this type of comment regularly, and it really means a lot to us that you are getting some value from our videos. We are very happy that you can go exploring with us vicariously and enjoy the things we are seeing. Thank you so much for commenting, and we hope you can stay comfortable.🙏👌😊
Hello Tom Hello Julie This little drift is amazing all this artefacts . You both did a great job to climb this shaft to bring the pictures to us. Thank you very much I wish you both a happy weekend and good New week Yours Frank Galetzka
Hi there, ! Tom & Julie, you's two certainly put a lot of hard sweat and work into this mine explore, I would have taken the rare miner's lamp out ,and donated it to a museum, because someone will eventually take it for themselves, and the explosives box as well , better for it's preservation, and more people to see and enjoy. Very kindest regards, STAY SAFE ❗
Hi John. This one was a bit of work. It's a physically demanding hobby. My thoughts on the museum is that there is already a mining museum in just about every town in these mining areas and very few mines with artifacts left in them so I like to leave things as we find them. I appreciate and understand your view on that, though. Thanks for commenting!👍😄
We're just slowing down a little. Doing a mine explore and putting out a video every week is a grind. There is a lot of traveling, planning, and hard work that goes into it. I hope you enjoyed this video. Thanks for the comment!👍👍
Great and scary , one of the best videos I have ever seen.....I collect junk and I think I once had a miners carbide lamp ,, I try to never throw anything out...but I often do...and then later I look for it and of course it's gone...stay safe people
Hey thats a long ways down but that lantern was very cool 😎 honestly I would have had a hard time leaving it down there thats realy a rare fine , but seriously enjoyed both videos yall are the best of the best my compliments ba safe and talk to ya soon im still determined to make out there if everything gose halfway right 🤣 😎
I knew a guy that used a lamp like that over fifty years ago. He couldn't get it to light the time that I was around so I can't say that I ever witnessed how bright it may have been. Have you cleared the center of that car, you might have found a pivot for a bunk. My guess is that it was one half of a pair of cars used to haul timbers, rail, or other long material. Thank you for going the extra mile on this awesome mine.
Hi David, I have used a carbide headlamp for a job I was working in the late 70's. They are surprisingly bright. I wouldn't compare them to a high output LED, but they work. I didn't clear off the car, so I don't know about the pivot. Glad that you enjoyed seeing the mine, and thanks for commenting!👍😁
Wow guys!!! That had to be the best-looking carbide lamp I have ever seen found in a mine!!! What a journey though, I just don't know how you do it!!! Thanks so much for sharing...but please don't overexert yourselves!!! Take care!!
Hi Tom and Julie, it’s been a long time since I had watched your videos. Been in California visiting my sister in rehab with cancer, but slowly getting better. Now visiting my daughter in Vegas here until Monday then back to Tucson home. Been gone for over a month, but Wow is this an adventure you have me watching ! Is this the 1st time finding a miners lantern? Also a rare tea tin. Your right, you could hear us saying keep going down! So sorry for all that to reach bottom and no level. You both receive our admiration and blessings, all the best in health and safe continued mine journeys! Fantastic job!
Sorry to hear about your sister, Ron. The big C is nothing to fool around with. Glad that it sounds like she is getting better. This is the second lamp that I've found. The first one washed out of the bottom of a waste rock pile after a good rain. It was missing the bottom half and was headed for the wash, so I kept that one. That tea can was pretty cool, too. We've seen a bunch of those but never knew what they were. Thanks for the kind words. We appreciate it!👌😊
That was a super find..the cart and hand drills along with that intact headlamp. Very nice exploreTom Julie thanks for your posting this great video. It went well with my morning cup of Joe. Be safe folks.💜💜💜☕☕
Tom & Julie, another incredible adventure as usual! 9:15, Amazing discovery of all the fantastic artifacts with the small Flat Car, the Labeled Can, and the Miner’s Head Lamp as the top-of-the-line finds!! 12:20 & 13:22, extremely beautiful Ore Veins!! 14:33, neat-looking curved Pick or Chisel. 15:45, best preserved Dynamite Box I’ve seen; great find! 28:24, unique find of a Roll of Tape; another first for me! Now Tom & Julie, I am even more amazed at your physical abilities after out about your 530’ shaft climb two days before this excursion; truly epic accomplishment!! Thanks for going back to this Mine again; especially worth it!! Keep Safe & Healthy!!!
You're welcome, Cary. Thank you for the awesome and detailed comment. You pretty much covered it all. Doing the explores in both those mines back to back was a little rough. You always get beat up a little when doing these explores, and it usually takes a couple of days to recover. We really appreciate you watching!👍😊
I have never seen a dynamite box up close before so that was super cool. The ones I have seen from a distance looked like pine boxes. This box you found looks like hardwood? With the dovetail edges it almost speaks of military grade box construction. Given the age of 1944, I wonder if that Dupont box was originally military surplus from WWII war effort? Great stuff. Kudos to you an two. AWESOME sauce!
Loved the episode, Awsome finds, the lamp was my favorite, really enjoy the two of you 😊 your my favorite duos 😊 Looking forward to your next episode ❤❤❤
Hello Julie and Tom. Well that's really really cool finding those artifacts at the 80 foot level. I would say that since those artifacts are still there that you're probably the first they have ever been down there of all the years and all the videos I've ever watched about mine exploration this is the first time I've ever seen a Miner's lamp. That was truly an awesome find. And also finding that cart that still had wheels on it. Excellent video that was definitely worth going down at least to the 80 ft.
Hello Stephen. You don't see many lamps like that anymore. The flat car was fun to see, too. I think you're correct that nobody has been down there in a long time. I think one of the reasons no one has gone down there is that the trap doors at the top were hanging by a piece of rope over the shaft. I didn't show it in this video, but we had to haul them up and secure them before we could safely go down the shaft. Sometimes, it pays to do a little extra work like that. Glad that you enjoyed the video and thanks for commenting!👍😄
You two are so incredibly brave and adventurous ! You are a couple of serious explorers and you are not just providing a vicarious experience for those of us that would never get into these places but you keep doing it; No resting on your laurels for you two--You keep producing these. Amazing ! I haven't checked in in quite a while but I am very pleased to see you both out there enjoying yousrselves. Congratulations on the growth of your channel. Great finds in there. I'd have six ropes on me and not go down there anyway...haha. keep doing what you do Tom & Julie !
Well, Craig, the six ropes sounds like a good idea. That one rope feels awfully small when you step out into the shaft. Thanks for the awesome comment. I'll have to get over to your channel to see what predicaments you've been getting yourself into. Lol 👍😄
you two are great. love your videos. this mine was a beauty with every thing you found down below. Keep bringing us your great adventures and be careful.
The lamp was incredible!!!! The other artifacts were awesome too. Both of you going down and up that shaft...just wow! Massive thank you for the tour. Be safe👍👍
Way cool finds in this one @80 feet!! Tom , you are truly a trooper , doing that kind of stuff still at 67 years old . My hat is off to you man 👍. And to Julie , you are one brave & loyal companion to Tom 😊. Thanks for all your hard work & efforts that you two do to provide entertainment for us all who watch . Really appreciate the videos.😎
Yes, some great finds here and fun to see, Stephen. I'm not getting any younger, and it's getting toward the end of my hard core mine exploring days. I'll leave it for the younger guys to carry on. Julie is great and is a very good companion and explorer. Thanks for the nice comment!👍😊
Guys, Thanks for sharing that cool mine shaft, can't believe you did not keep that old miners lamp.💡 I think some other mine explorers would have. love the channel cheers enjoy your beers. 🍺🍺🤠
You're welcome, and thank you for commenting! I try to leave things the way I found them when possible. Glad that you are enjoying our channel! Cheers!👍🍺🍺😁
Good job guys, felt like I was there with ya, I could even taste the dust. 😝 We have found a lot of fascinating artifacts but we have yet to find an old carbide lamp, especially one in perfect condition, what a great find. 🤗 200' is a good haul for anyone, well done. .... you need a chest ascender and a Pantin, will half the work 😂👍👍👍👍
Hi Tony. You don't see too many drifts loaded with artifacts like this one. Thanks for your input on ascending. The setup we use works for us. I don't use a foot ascender because unless we're in a completely vertical shaft, you need your feet free for walking up the incline and keeping your balance. Also, a chest ascender would mean one more piece of gear to change over from rappel to ascent. With the gri gri, all we do to change over is to add the hand ascender with a leg loop and pulley to gain a 3:1 mechanical advantage. 👍👍
Thanks for another great explore you guys. A difficult rappel is a sure fire way to keep the people out who tend to loot these awesome historic artifacts. So neat to see them safe and sound down there. Looking forward to your next video!
This was a great one! Wow, that carbide lamp and the little tool cart? Wow, total time capsule! To think that level wasn't worked since probably the late 1940s? Always fun to watch you two! Tom, your comment about going down lower and everyone saying "YES" on their phones and computers busted me up! LOL So true! You don't even need to read comments to know they're happening sometimes! Always fun, always finding cool artifacts! Looking forward to part 3! :D
Good luck with your mine exploring, Brent. Im guessing you will probably face much wetter mine conditions than we see in the deserts of California and Nevada, where we typically explore. Stay safe out there!👍😁
Yes, that is pretty rare to find a headlamp. This whole small drift was unreal. The lack of rats and even dust in there was amazing and kept things from getting dirty. Thanks for the nice comment, Norman!👍😊
wow those are some AMAZING finds wow and what a deep descent that is nuts!! you two sure are brave! great vein colors and excellent exploration as usual thanks for taking us along
I think that's the first time I've seen you all use the ropes.that was pretty cool..good job, thank you for another awesome video. greetings from Florida...
Hey there just watched you both abseil down the mine shaft I got a bit worried that you had no rope protection going over the top and you didn’t have a safety rope has a back up. if the rope got cut right at the top you both would have been stranded one above the other With no way of getting out I know 200 feet of rope times 2can be heavy but we want you out safely 😊😊😊
Hi Martin. The angle of the rope going over this edge was very low, and it looked much worse in the video than it was in real life. As I went down the inclined shaft, the rope actually came off the edge and wasn't touching anything due to the anchor placement. We will use a rope protector when necessary. I also inspect the rope after every use, and there was no damage. The rope sheaths are actually quite tough and hold up well. Thanks for your concern.👍👍
You two are incredible in what you do and the places you put yourselves into to show the rest of us what is left in these mines. Thank you for all you do and putting yourselves in danger.
Wow you guys really amaze me! That was a hell of a long ways down for not much. Ah, but the first stop had all the cool artifacts. Yep your definitely Troopers and today Tom was the worn out Trooper after going down all the way. I'm curious as to when your coming back up what is the muscle group you use the most. Right arm? It appears that way when your cranking up. Do you ever cramp up? As usual an awesome adventure with you both. I'll bet Tom slept well that night. Julie you are just as fun to watch and so much courage you both have. Thanks for taking us along for the trip. So Cool...👀👀👍👍🦎🦎
Hi Duane, yes a long way down for what turned out to be not much except a pretty big stope. I obviously didn't know that before going down to see. I think that at one time, there was a drift level down there. When climbing, I'm using both arms and legs. It would be impossible to climb 200 feet using only my arms. I probably couldn't make it up 10 feet using just arms. Glad that you enjoyed the small drift. Thanks for the comment!👌😁
That was some outstanding finds, especially the carbide lamp. We used those a lot of times back in the day coon hunting. I had 3 and they all still work, I gave them to my sons. The reflector wsa the same size as the ones I owned. Tom you and Julie make my day every time I watch yall go exploring those old mines not to mention the scenery. Take care of each other until next time, be safe and God bless.
Yes, that lamp was fun to see. I found the top half of one many years ago at the bottom of a waste rock pile after heavy rain washed it out. It was missing the bottom half where the carbide is held. Glad that you still enjoy watching our videos. Thanks for the kind words and for the blessing, Jimmy. Hope all is well with you.👍😊🙏
Glad that you enjoyed the video, Bob. Yes, we appreciate you commenting, and I do believe it helps the computer algorithm to suggest the video to others, which will end up getting more views. Thanks for watching!👍😁
Hi from Australia ..the old time miners were tough people back in the day ..out detecting for gold in the bush here in Australia it's amazing to see the old timers workings ..certainly tough people ...that poor fox ..I guess it fell all the way down maybe .. Lovely video of your adventure and relics of the past .
Hi Leigh. There is no doubt that the men and women who worked the mines back in the day were a very tough breed of human. I'm sure it was the same in Australia. We see a fair number of foxes that have fallen down shafts. I'm glad that you enjoyed the video, and thanks for commenting!👌😁
Tom and Julie, you two are really amazing, I know you do this for fun but you do it for us too. there was some cool things to see here and I could not, would not , have seen them if not for you two. Thank you from the bottom of my "I will never do that" heart. I am currently digging holes looking for corner marker stakes, I am sore, I can't imagine how sore you two are.
Sounds like you're busy surveying, Mick. I worked on a survey crew for about five years. You do a lot of digging. We're glad that you enjoyed seeing those artifacts and appreciate the comment!👍😄
What a great find at 06:07!! I am so impressed. This is an awesome mine you ran across. Thank you very much for sharing it with us. I would love to see it for myself but understand the rules. Have a great upcoming Memorial Day Weekend!!! I love your channel. Thank you. REgards from Ody Slim
Great adventure. I have a miners lamp that was my great grandfathers that is the spitting image of the one you found. Only mine is a little dented up. The info you gave on how they worked was so exciting to me. Be safe:)
That's so cool, Bruce. It's fun to have things that your grandfather used. I never knew who either of my great grandfathers were, but I do have some of my grandfathers tools that I cherish. Thanks for the fun comment!👍😄
Hi Tom and Julie, one thing I will mention is you guys need a sleeve to go over the rope otherwise the sharp rocks at the top just before the rope descends could eventually fray the rope. Wow that old miners lamp was truly amazing to see, what a unique and rare find. I managed to find a better picture of the syrup can, I will send it via email to you guys. That dynamite box was a great find, it's very rare to find them intact like that and with the date on it, awesome. Lol, when you asked should you go further down I was saying nooo because you had already climbed that other shaft and a long way down means a long way back up. Well done both of you that was a tough one, did you notice how that little lizard held his hands and feet away from the ground to cool them down ?? very cute. Best part of the day is beer o clock except we drink alcohol free, thank you for sharing, much love to you both. xx 🥰💞
Thanks for the lovely comment, Sue. We usually use a rope protector, although it was a low angle going over the edge on this one because of the location of the anchor. The rope actually came off of that top edge as I got lower down because of the angle of the shaft. The lamp was fun to see. We don't mind the climbing even though I let out a few grunts and groans. Lol. Always like to include a shot of the lizard if I can. I got a chuckle out of your beer o'clock term. It's more common for us to say beer:30. Hope you are still feeling well!❤️👍😊
@@TomandJulieMineExploring I'm doing okay but suffering from a trapped sciatic nerve at the moment which is always fun, good news I am waiting to see a neurosurgeon though. Did you want me to send a better pic of the maple syrup tin ???. xxx 🥰💞
@Sue Girling Hi Sue, sorry to hear of your nerve pain. That's not a good time. I know from personal experience how painful that is. No need for the photo of the tin. I looked one up not long after we found the one in the video. Thanks for offering.❤️😊
thank-you for showing all that great stuff, you just don't see those lanterns anymore. I saw you on another channel MINE ADVENTURES , I subscribe to their channel also. thank you for the video, miss seeing you every week but I will take what I can get.
You're welcome, Tony. We've been friends with Ken and Kenny for the last few years and usually do a couple explores with them each year. I was a little dinged up with a rib injury when they made the video you're talking about. We have been in that mine before, though. Ken and Kenny are very good and fearless explorers. They have been doing this for a long time and know about a lot of cool mines. Thanks for the comment!👍😄
Incredible finds! That carbide lamp was exciting to see. Eagle eyes Tom seeing it among the dusty wood. That Tea brand syrup was also amazing. That Asian archway looked really cool. The history speculation started stirring with one of my first seeing a date that Julie read. Nov. 1944, before the battle of the Bulge and winter campaigns. 6 months 'til the end of Germany's world war. About 9 months to the end of Japan's world war. It seems that mine operated on a small enough scale that the guys didn't shut down? Though they might have been older? With such awesome mineralization I can imagine they worked with expectations. I suppose some amount of disappointment there at the end? Perhaps cashing in some of the rail for scrap? Wondering things is half the fun. Thanks Tom and Julie. Hope rest, massage, sauna, and any muscle relaxing goes with recovering from the climbing?
Thanks for the interesting comment, Rick. I believe this mine would have shut down in 1942 if it was still operating then. These mines can start and stop work many times over the years. I think that box was repurposed for use in the hoist room, judging from the grease and oil on it. There might have been a working level at the bottom that is now caved. Those are the things that get my mind wondering. Maybe it could be dug out? This explore took place over a week ago, and I still have sore muscles. We did climb ladders in a 500 foot deep shaft two days before this one, so that's part of the problem. 👍😄
I have four of those Miners lamps, one was my grandpa's original from his hard rock mining up in Washington State, one was my dad's from his days at Colorado School of Mines. I have done my fair share of ascending - prefer two rope ladder style - much easier. But I also used old version of the Petzel Croll. Big trouble is they eat up your ropes. You have my sympathy AND RESPECT! Stay safe!
That's nice that you have the lamps from your father and grandfather, David. I really don't mind the climbing. Yes, it's a little hard but it's fun and good exercise. The 120 feet from the bottom to where the drift is took about 15 or 20 minutes to do and the last 80 about 10 minutes. The last part I had Julie pull my pack up, so that was easier. Thanks for the comment!👍😄
I've been following your channel for a couple of months now. The two of you make for a good team. The only rappelling I have done was on the rappelling tower at Parris Island, more years ago than I care to remember. We only had to go down. I always wondered, how the hell do you get back up? "Jugging" answered that question. I will continue looking over your shoulders as you crawl about these claustrophobic tunnels. Go get a beer!
Thanks for the excellent comment. What goes down must come up. Doing anything in a mine always seems to be more difficult than it would be outside. Jugging is no different. We appreciate you following our channel!👍😁
AWESOME FINDS! This is what mine exploration is all about. Way to go T&J!

As I was going down, I thought for sure the rope was going to come up 10 feet short. Yes, some very cool finds in this one. We see a lot of foxes at the bottom of shafts. They must come into the mines to hunt rats, at least that's my guess. Thanks for the comment, brother Eddie. Hope all is well with you!👍😄
@@TomandJulieMineExploring did you take home that minors lamp?
@@eddie9903 No, I like to leave things as I found them.
Yes, lots of goodies in this one. Thanks for watching!👍😄
Winner, winner, chicken dinner!! Wow, those finds were fantastic. The miner's lamp put it over the top. I'll bet you guys slept good that night! Thanks for taking us along!
This little drift had a lot going on. Oh yes, we slept good that night. Thanks for watching, Lesley!!👍😄
i sure enjoyed mine exploring with Tom and Julie today and every day !
Thank you, Ted!👍👍😁
Nice workout today guys! :) Thanks Tom for going all the way down....not bad for an old guy :)
Yes, a decent workout climbing back up. Not bad for a 1956 model human. Thanks for the comment!👍😄
Thank you, Tom & Julie! Nice find at the 80 ft. mark, that lamp was beautiful. May your journey be long and happy, safe journeys ahead.
You're welcome, James. Thanks for the kind words!👍❤️
Hello Tom Hello Julie
This little drift is amazing all this artefacts .
You both did a great job to climb this shaft to bring the pictures to us.
Thank you very much
I wish you both a happy weekend and good New week
Yours Frank Galetzka
Hello Frank. That was a fun little drift to see. Glad that you enjoyed it. Thanks for the comment, and we hope you have a great weekend! 👍😄
That was sooo cool 😎. The artifacts were just fantastic. I really enjoyed this. Thanks a ton for taking us along!
You're welcome, Paul. Glad that you enjoyed it!👍😄
I miss your weekly videos but everybody deserves some Me Time so I hope you two are enjoying some "Me Time" Peace Out and Stay Safe.
We're just slowing down a little. Doing a mine explore and putting out a video every week is a grind. There is a lot of traveling, planning, and hard work that goes into it. I hope you enjoyed this video. Thanks for the comment!👍👍
Great and scary , one of the best videos I have ever seen.....I collect junk and I think I once had a miners carbide lamp ,, I try to never throw anything out...but I often do...and then later I look for it and of course it's gone...stay safe people
Glad that you enjoyed the video. I've gotten rid of some things like that, too. Later on, you regret it. Thanks for the nice comment!👍😄
Great day. Thank you for doing that. Blessings
Glad that you liked the explore, Todd! Thanks for the comment and blessing.👍😁
Hey thats a long ways down but that lantern was very cool 😎 honestly I would have had a hard time leaving it down there thats realy a rare fine , but seriously enjoyed both videos yall are the best of the best my compliments ba safe and talk to ya soon im still determined to make out there if everything gose halfway right 🤣 😎
Glad that you enjoyed thevfinds, Gunny. Hope you can make it out to see some of the mines. Thanks for commenting!👍😄
Real great stuff. Thanks for making the climb. I really enjoyed the follow up on last week.
It was good that we went back. If we didn't get it done right away, we were leaving the area. Glad that you liked it, William!👍😄
That was a lot of effort on you guys part to bring this great video. Mucho appreciated.
Yes, it definitely takes more effort when dealing with vertical shafts. That's all part of the game, though. Glad that you appreciate it!👍😊
That was exciting. Very cool artifacts . Thanks for sharing.
You're welcome, Scott. Glad that you found itvexciting!👍😄
Wow guys!!! That had to be the best-looking carbide lamp I have ever seen found in a mine!!! What a journey though, I just don't know how you do it!!! Thanks so much for sharing...but please don't overexert yourselves!!! Take care!!
Thai is a nice lamp. Fun to see the rest of the items, too. Thanks for watching and commenting. We appreciate it!👍😊
Another interesting video as usual, thanks.
Thank you for watching and commenting, Brian!👍😄
We appreciate it!👌😊
Great untouched finds!!!
Exactly. Thanks for the comment, Scott!👍😄
You two are amazing! Great Video!
Thanks for the nice comment, Garden Lady!👍😊
😮Awesome wonderful journey! Julie and Tom are both just wonderful and I bet you both sleep good at night! Thank you for sharing!
That's very kind of you to say, Jeff! You're welcome and we're glad that you liked the explore. Thank you!👍😊
That was a super find..the cart and hand drills along with that intact headlamp. Very nice exploreTom Julie thanks for your posting this great video. It went well with my morning cup of Joe. Be safe folks.💜💜💜☕☕
Thanks, Jake! Glad that you enjoyed the finds. 👍😄
You guys are taking mine exploring to whole other level! 😮
We like the way you're thinking and appreciate the nice comment. Thank you!👍😁
Loved the episode, Awsome finds, the lamp was my favorite, really enjoy the two of you 😊 your my favorite duos 😊 Looking forward to your next episode ❤❤❤
Thank you for the nice comment, Rick. We're glad you enjoyed the explore!👍😊
Glad that you enjoyed the video and thanks for commenting!👍😄
great job guys. wow, nice artifacts too.
Yes, definitely some cool artifacts here, Ken. Thanks for the comment!👍😁
Lol 👍😄
Awsome guys thanks for taking us with you 👌👌
You're welcome, Thomas. Thanks for the comment!👍😄
Awesome artifacts!
Yes indeed. Thanks, Roger!👍😄
you two are great. love your videos. this mine was a beauty with every thing you found down below. Keep bringing us your great adventures and be careful.
Glad that you enjoyed the mine, Hans. Thanks for the kind words!👍😁
The lamp was incredible!!!! The other artifacts were awesome too. Both of you going down and up that shaft...just wow! Massive thank you for the tour. Be safe👍👍
Glad that you enjoyed the artifacts, Mark. Thanks for the nice comment!👌😊
Very cool find! Those are rare!
Thanks, Graham, good to hear from you! They don't pop up very often, do they. Hope all is well at MOTW.👍😄
Woww! You two are the artifact whisperers. Awesome finds, stay safe and happy explorin'
Thanks, Jerith. This was a fun one. You don't find them like this very often. Hope all is well with you!😁
Guys, Thanks for sharing that cool mine shaft, can't believe you did not keep that old miners lamp.💡 I think some other mine explorers would have. love the channel cheers enjoy your beers. 🍺🍺🤠
You're welcome, and thank you for commenting! I try to leave things the way I found them when possible. Glad that you are enjoying our channel! Cheers!👍🍺🍺😁
"One more level Tom" Lol, great teamwork, I bet when you sat in the jeep you guys went" awwwwwwwe!😊 take care
I could hear you all saying that! It's always good to get back to the Jeep alive. Lol Thanks for commenting !👍😁
Good job guys, felt like I was there with ya, I could even taste the dust. 😝
We have found a lot of fascinating artifacts but we have yet to find an old carbide lamp, especially one in perfect condition, what a great find. 🤗
200' is a good haul for anyone, well done.
.... you need a chest ascender and a Pantin, will half the work 😂👍👍👍👍
Very Kool! Thanks for all the rappelling and giving us a glimpse of what lies beneath -
You're welcome. I'm glad that you enjoyed it, and thanks for commenting!👍😁
Thanks for another great explore you guys. A difficult rappel is a sure fire way to keep the people out who tend to loot these awesome historic artifacts. So neat to see them safe and sound down there. Looking forward to your next video!
That's exactly right, Brian. If you can drive up to a mine and walk in, there won't be much for artifacts. Thanks for the comment!👍
You don't
even need to read comments to know they're happening sometimes!
Always fun, always finding cool artifacts! Looking forward to part 3! :D
Yes, definitely a time capsule here. Glad that I could get a chuckle out of you. Thanks for the comment, Rob!👍😄
amazing location! Thanks to you and again - greetings from Germany!
Glad that you liked it, and thanks for watching from Germany!!👍😁
Julie just keeps us old dogs moving better than chasing our tails you rock
Haha , good one, Frank!😆
Great find, I’m in Alaska your doing exactly what I’m planning to do lots of mines up this way👍
Good luck with your mine exploring, Brent. Im guessing you will probably face much wetter mine conditions than we see in the deserts of California and Nevada, where we typically explore. Stay safe out there!👍😁
You find some really cool stuff ! A gas headlamp was a excellent find ! Well done you both !
Yes, that is pretty rare to find a headlamp. This whole small drift was unreal. The lack of rats and even dust in there was amazing and kept things from getting dirty. Thanks for the nice comment, Norman!👍😊
wow those are some
AMAZING finds wow and what a deep descent that is nuts!! you two sure are brave! great vein colors and excellent exploration as usual thanks for taking us along
Hey Thorn, yes some nice artifacts left in this one. Glad that you enjoyed it, and thanks for the nice comment!👍😊
I think that's the first time I've seen you all use the ropes.that was pretty cool..good job, thank you for another awesome video. greetings from Florida...
Really? We are on rope fairly often. You must have missed a few videos. Glad that you enjoyed it, Spidy. Thanks for the comment!👍😁
Hey there just watched you both abseil down the mine shaft I got a bit worried that you had no rope protection going over the top and you didn’t have a safety rope has a back up. if the rope got cut right at the top you both would have been stranded one above the other
With no way of getting out
I know 200 feet of rope times 2can be heavy but we want you out safely 😊😊😊
You're welcome, Randy. Thanks for the nice comment!👍😊
Great video you guys are insane 200 feet good stuff down there. Have fun and be safe. Love to watch your videos. Thanks.👍🇺🇸👍
Thanks, Tony! Glad that you enjoy our videos. Thanks for watching. 👍😁
Awesome artifacts!!
Thanks for taking the time and effort to explore the shaft. What a workout that is.
Great video.
👍👍👍👊😎
Thank you, George. We appreciate you watching!👍👊😎
always good to watch you guys, stay safe. you guys are one of the last one's doing this.
Thanks for watching, Jack. We appreciate it!👍😁
Awesome finds👍👍 the lamp is/was a high-lite lol pun intended come back soon to explore the other shaft 🤠
Haha, good pun. Glad that you enjoyed it, Dave. Thanks for commenting!👌😁
Hope all is well with you.👍😊🙏
Great video and fantastic finds! Always watch and like , but I don’t often comment. Maybe I should comment more often if it helps the channel :)
Fantastic finds you guys! First video I have seen where a miners lamp has been found!
After being in over 1000 mines, it's the first complete one we have seen. Thanks for the comment, Scott!👌😊
Great explore hell from Australia, nice rope work indeed coming back is always harder than going down :)
Thanks for the nice comment from Australia!👌😁
Tom and Julie, you two are really amazing, I know you do this for fun but you do it for us too. there was some cool things to see here and I could not, would not , have seen them if not for you two. Thank you from the bottom of my "I will never do that" heart. I am currently digging holes looking for corner marker stakes, I am sore, I can't imagine how sore you two are.
Sounds like you're busy surveying, Mick. I worked on a survey crew for about five years. You do a lot of digging. We're glad that you enjoyed seeing those artifacts and appreciate the comment!👍😄
Great finds👍
Thanks, Richard!👍😄
What a great find at 06:07!! I am so impressed. This is an awesome mine you ran across. Thank you very much
for sharing it with us. I would love to see it for myself but understand the rules. Have a great upcoming
Memorial Day Weekend!!! I love your channel. Thank you. REgards from Ody Slim
Thanks, Ody. Glad that you liked the explore. Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hope you do something fun for Memorial Day!👍😁
Another awesome video, nice to know that some cool artifacts still exist.
That's pretty much what we were thinking, too. Thanks for the comment, Bill!👍😁
@@TomandJulieMineExploring thank you both of you, much love. xx 💞
Exciting explore! Its amazing how much rock was removed in all of these mines. Time to rest for both of you. Thank you for sharing!
You're welcome, Chuck. Glad that it was exciting for you. Thanks for the comment!👍😄
thank-you for showing all that great stuff, you just don't see those lanterns anymore.
Wow. Truly intrepid explorers! Great job 👍🏻
Thank you, Robert! Much appreciated. 👍😄
Beautiful video and awesome explore.
Thank you very much!👍😄
I have four of those Miners lamps, one was my grandpa's original from his hard rock mining up in Washington State, one was my dad's from his days at Colorado School of Mines.
