- Let's talk about Arkham Origins for Christmas. That should be easy, right?
P.S. Sorry if the static sound is a little loud. Audio design is something I intend to improve on a lot in 2021.

Thanks for watching! The Tragedy of Dawn, an over hour long video exploring the production and themes of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is up next! Make sure to subscribe if you want to see that when it comes out!
Yeah baby! This is what I've been waiting for! This is what it's all about!
Bro the static noises ruin a dope video.
Hurry!!! I need the tragedy of dawn!
LETS GOOOOO
I've been waiting for your analysis of _Dawn of the Planet of the Apes_ , which may be my favorite movie. I'm hoping more people will watch the entire trilogy. It's _so much better_ than most of the mindless crap being cranked out for the big screen.
good video but these static effects are killing my ears
I have static ptsd
They were really annoying for me
Foreal man I was about to say Geez...
Lmao I got to the heaviest part of them I was like “yo.” 😂 good thing I wasn’t wearing headphones
fax, i can’t finish this video, it’s so damn loud and annoying and he does it every 3 seconds
Man, you forced me to see a different side of this game. As time passes I grow to appreciate this game more and more. Respect.
I played Origins without knowing people hated and when i find out that people don't like the game i was so confused lol, i loved the game
Not gonna lie this is the first time I’ve ever seen that people didn’t like Origins. I thought it was absolutely outstanding. Is that why they didn’t put it on the Arkham games collection? I was real disappointed to see it isn’t on there
@@isahamilton01 There was an air of disappointment upon the game's release. Most criticisms came from how little they changed/improved after Arkham City. Personally, I've always enjoyed it,
The reason it's not in the Return to Arkham collection is most likely because it was already on xbox one/ps4, or that it was developed by a different studio.
@@hugocanuto6981 same it's my favorite Arkham game
My only real criticism was the open world had far less thought put into it like city did. City had so much personality everywhere you went. Story and gameplay wise origins was great. Probably my favorite iteration of bane. I honestly prefer it over Arkham knight.
This is a really good video but dude, you gotta either make yourself louder or the static effects quieter. I keep having to turn up the volume because I can’t hear you and then I get hit with these constant loud static noises.
Yes, this. sound effects were way too loud, all of them
Listening to this video with headphones is headache inducing
Healteady adressed this read the descripition
Sooooooo, basically, what you’re saying is... we live in a society?
No,he is that we can create hope out of fear
Kkkkkkkkkkk
We live in a monkiety...
Lmao
@@ohamatchhams APES TOGETHER STRONG
The static noise is painful.
Most annoying part of the video
I think its a reference to Captain Midnight
the white noise sound and a cutaway to non-content gets old fast. other than that, good video
At certain points…
This video’s static = Battlefield Earth’s Dutch angle shots
It was so annoying
I love the video, big fan. Not a fan of the static noise every 5 seconds though. More power to you, your channel is v underrated!
fr
Amen
I hate the static noise
It’s so loud and annoying!
I really enjoy your essays and I'm super looking forward to your next planet of the apes analysis so I hope you don't take this the wrong way because I genuinely liked this video but the editing was really annoying. I get what you were going for but the constant "TV Channel Lost signal" effect showing up every five damn seconds was irritating, you were saying some really interesting stuff and having your voice be interrupted every two seconds with a loud and frankly atrocious sound and/or old ads that played for a tad too long, really dragged this awesome essay down. Still huge fan !
Lol and he said he was getting better 😂. I really liked what he was saying tho.
Great video. But the static sound & the ads were annoying.
I get why he did it but damn. That was a little TOO much.
The Static Things are really overused, the video is great but lessen the static sounds plz
Not even stick figures on crack used this many static sound effects jfc dude
Man I think you overdid with the TV error thing, but overall it's a good video essay, can't wait for The Tragedy of Dawn
Goddamn you’re good, initially joined when you came out with your community video, but you just keep improving. Don’t stop, there’s a lot of talent there
I love Arkham origins such a underrated game in my opinion
When I tried playing it it completely was full of game breaking bugs
@@mossylog4168 bummer
My fav Arkham game
@@asee818 nice
Yeah but I can't defeat the fucking Desthstroke
Man I love your videos, but the sound effects of the untuned tv screen and the big red X are too loud e too annoying, please dial it back next time
Had to give up on this video a few minutes in. That static sound is WAY too frequent and annoying.
This video is almost perfect. But that sound effekt of switing kills me it is ok 1 or 2.but use it over 20 times made me hate this video. I cant watch it again because i know it its there.
Please please please don't ever use that broken chanal sound effekt or in General horrible transitions.
I just want to let you know, just for the context; I listened to your essays every night recently when I'm about to sleep.
Hearing that constant static noises so often just wakes me up every single time, and I can't even focus on your voice anymore because of that.
So enough of those static noises dude, it's louder than the rest of the audio, and it's too fucking many.
Good video. I may have not lived long, but one thing I've learned in life, is that when it comes to reacting to how evil and cruel the world is, there are two types of people: Those who blame the world, hate on it, and like Joker, couldn't wait until they get the chance to watch it burn. But then there's the other people, who see the same thing, and instead would ask, "What can I do differently?"
I'm a history savvy, and when I learned about the history of both the World Wars, it taught me that in the battle of Good vs Evil, nothing allows Evil to win, like refusing to fight it. This is why I don't agree with the belief that Evil is dark, I think Evil is not just bright, it's so insanely bright, people look away from it, many even deny it's existence. Why? Because they know that when they acknowledge the existence of Evil, they have to confront it, and many people choose not to confront Evil. Instead, they choose to be like either Bane or Joker, and let that Evil consume and control them. Why? Because it's easy.
Many people make the claim that villains are better than heroes because nobody's perfect, and villains go through the same temptations that heroes do. This is true, but the flaw in that statement is that heroes don't fall for their temptations, villains do. It's easy to be a villain, it takes work to be a hero.
Could you please turn down the static transition sound effect? bcs rip my headphone. Otherwise, great vid!
That twist in Chapter 4 was great! Did not expect drama inside an essay :D
Wtf is with the static effects and ads? Is this a regular thing on this channel?
Nah. It's all christmas stuff in the ads
Great commentary, but god damn the static effect is only frustrating dude sorry.
Arkham Origins was a great game. The performances of Roger Craig Smith and Troy Baker was amazing as the younger Batman and Joker. Bruce’s journey from being Batman alone to becoming THE Batman is done well in my opinion. Origins deserves more credit than it deserves and we need a remastered version of this game on current gen consoles
Where’s part 2 and 3 to Planet of the Apes? I just finished watching it and I need my fix on your analysis
one of the most underrated games. im not just saying that, i genuinely love the gameplay and story behind other Arkham's.
Man I found you a few weeks ago and your videos never fail to amaze me. You writing is often as good, if not better than the media you talk about. Spider verse never made me cry but your video about it did and it made me see the message behind in a way you don't do when watching it with your family
||cries in still waiting for the next part of the planet of the apes analysis||
Dawg why you gotta make me rethink my life at 5 am
your take is good, but that sound between each clip or point got me on my nerve on how irritating
Of course, if you take a look at the long form story of the Arkhamverse, you can see that there was a little bit of all these paths that were needed to ensure a better future for Gotham. In the beginning, despite the foul measures, Joker and Riddler started tearing down pieces of the corrupt system, giving space for new, better blood to start stepping in. Batman's crusade needed help in order to ensure its better success, so he created the bat family with the host of sidekicks and the greater, more authentic police department. But above all, in order to ensure the forces of Hugo Strange and Scarecrow didn't destroy everything they held dear, they had to maintain what was good in Gotham by holding down the destroyers.
And extend that: at the end of arkham knight, batman destroyed the batman to ensure its immortality past Bruce Wayne, seeking to create a new myth to accompany what mayor Gordon could give alongside Robin and Oracle to maintain the new safety brought about by destroying the organized Criminal element the long halloween created. So yes, this view of creation is what eventually became Batman's creed to ensure a better Gotham. But to cement its future, he needed all the other things too.
Hope everything’s okay StoryStreet, love your videos, still excited for the Sequels to Planet of the Apes. Keep up the great work.
Same dude hopefully its almost done
Love the Content but these constant loud static Transitions ain’t it Chief...
when is the next part about rise of the planet of the apes gonna come out?
The Joker is Nihilism, Batman is Existentialism. Also... IF YOU PLAY THAT STATIC AUDIO ONE MORE TIME!!!!
I've been a big fan of your channel for awhile now and follow it on my other accounts as well and this, this video right here may just be your magnum opus. It is magnificent. Thank you.
...I've found alot of Bats in my home this year...and that has colored my view of bats...
This has reminded me of my love of them...
I've always loved this game, now I love it more.
Bro your videos are so great. It actually makes me think about stuff
The static is a little loud but its also a little overused, it got really annoying really fast, otherwise another awesome video man
Agreed.
this is straight up one of the best videos i have ever watched on youtube
Bro don't stop this is my favorite channel. Makes me wanna push to edit my stuff better.
11:28, 11:38, what a concise way to explain the Joker. Troy Baker’s version stuck out to me as Batman inadvertently creates him just as in the Killing Joke and Batman 1989, which is seemingly why he hired the assassins to kill him. On top of that, before properly meeting Batman, he is far more aimless and self destructive (as a matter of fact, Arkham’s Joker repeatedly brings about his own downfall in the other games (first shooting himself with Titan after saying he’d nothing to live for and then accidentally breaking the vial containing a cure for himself, even when he wanted to live so he could continue playing with Batman). It’s Batman that gave him a reason to live after saving him. It’s Batman that gave him purpose in a world without meaning. In an effort to beat the city’s crime into submission, Batman unleashed one of the biggest monster’s of them all.
And as of this specific game’s continuity, he has absolutely no idea of this fact (permitted this isn’t just Joker misremembering his past or making it up in his head).
I noticed that in the part (19:20) where Batman is reviving alfred the subtitiles refer to Batman as bruce wayne.
that's batman's real name
@@j1n3 no shit my guy
I love your video storystreet!!! I’m just seeing this now but this video was released on my birthday :)
Christmas miracle! You made me appreciate this game!
Your video made me think about some of the previous decisions that I made respect my loved ones
Great video man. I cannot wait to replay this game now. Looking forward to your 2021!
One word and one word only....
Beautiful
I love the underlying tones and character to this one ✌🏻
Dude wt*. A masterpiece of a video
Man, I can't wait to see your future videos, these keep getting better and better. Your analasys of The Last of Us was my favourite of yours and I can't wait to see what you have to say for Part II
I really loved this video! Thank you for letting me see another side of the game! :D
i absolutely loved that games soundtrack especially joker's theme
this is really well done
It’s amazing that we have such similar taste. There has not been one topic you have talked about that I did not also enjoy.
How does this person not have more subs?
Video title: Man has breakdown reviewing Arkham Origins
I’m about two minutes in and reading the comments is giving me anxiety since the static has already given me some form of hearing loss
Wow
i mean.. wow. Never thought anyone could change my point of view about Origins... but you did it. Awesome Video. Awesome series.
Mindblowing. Cant find any words. Keep going and as a wise man once said:
"[...] We will watch your career with great interest."
Great Video Essay 👍
This is gonna age well for 2020-2021 lol. Great vids keep up the great work
I really liked the video but the static was so annoying
If you look closely you will find that Alfred and Bane are in the same position when batman is reviving them
God, your videos are so good. Quality of a 200k UA-camr.
Loved the video
Can't wait for planet of the apes part 2
Best story ever told.
Gained a subscriber bro this was well done keep going bro!
Bravo on your performance!!!! Just wow! Bravo!!!!
Very good! You’ve gotten another subscriber. The only problem I have with your video is the static transitions. But your points are 🔥🔥
It is a CRIME that this video doesn't have more views
Its the static noise for me
i always liked the game and i always will
Great vid
Hope you're doing good, I'm very excited too see part 2 and 3 of the planet of the apes trilogy
So as you can probably tell from other comments, you went way too hard on the static overall. But the montage at the end of part 3 really worked for me (possibly aided by having never played this game and thus Alfred's death was a surprise).
Please never put that many static noises in a video again, I’m halfway through and they are very annoying but I love the rest of the video
Bro i love ur vids. Especially the avatar one bc i love that show so much but couldnt figure out why. You showed why the show is so damn good and made me able to put it into words. Please talk ab the walking dead telltale game. The story is soo good. Keep being great💯💯💯
I saw this as Bruce experiencing a new form of criminality. He had only been fighting thugs and mob-bosses whose goals are after money and power. Violent means to simple ends.
In comes the Joker, a criminal who is not motivated by money but by the sheer fun of it and he has no idea how to react to it.
Riddler should’ve been the villain of the game, with black mask as the secondary, penguin, bane, they could’ve still been side villains as well.
And yes I did think this before seeing the new The Batman(which wasn’t good by the way)
wow
the static interruption thing is a bit heavy handed, but the narration is so strong the video works anyway
really looking forward to your next video !
Arkham Origins has always been a great game for me since it's launch in October 2013.
Goosebumps...
If your trying to make me go insane with these radio tv static moments it's working.
Jason todd 1000% agrees with what you said about "he stops things from getting worse but he doesnt make anything better"
Wait so Batman is Santa? Crazy stuff man good vid
A beautiful video and message. Sums up what has happened and what I felt needs to be done in reaction to this year. Thanks. Loved your videos ever since I was introduced to you by the community video. You rock the world and I’m glad you continue to do so. Happy holidays.
underrated youtubber
Repost a version with the static lower in volume and less duration. Might go viral this time lol
I got the nihilistic approach and loved it. I think the static injection and very random ad placement could have been a bit more nuisanced and subtle. I know this is over a year old so your next Christmas special will be off the charts.
Just saw this video, the Planet of the Apes one and the Last of us one and now I’m subscribed. Now I need to watch all of your videos dude. Nice work. Also I saw that Twilight Princess was your favorite video game of all time. I’d love to see why it is your favorite and your favorite things about the game.
It's like they say all it takes is one bad day
Those static sounds were painful, and adds needless filler, i just skipped them, but they, at least in my opinion shouldn't be there in the first place, just slowing the whole video down, a video that by itself is pretty well made and nice to watch.
this was dope at the beginning then it slowly morphed into ur application to juliard
Holy shit this is so good. Like this is better than any movie, show, or story I saw or read last year. The passion, logical breakdown and analysis are simply breathtaking... You my friend, have a gift.
i have never in my life understood the character of the joker and his worldview than after watching this video, and I have never so clearly understood why he's wrong until I watched this
Unsettling
5:23 don’t need to argue that
When do you think you're going to release the next planet of the apes video
Damn I got recommended this tonight but damn bro thanks for saying this shit real shit dude. Been going through a rut but damn I’ma try and do better. Thank you
