Hi Mr H, might I suggest a small cheap dehumidifier. Run it in the car with the vents closed as this should reduce mould growth before you do a really deep clean. It will surprise you how much water there is in the car after sitting under a car cover. Also I never liked worm claps, if you can the bolt through ones are just so much more reliable. Great to see the car again 👍
Love it my English friend! I've owned a '67 2000 for nearly 40 years now... what a great friend. Fuel injected and crank fired now, just a few of the mods I've done over the years. 510s are awesome cars.
Didn’t know about the car channel. I also have an old car but completely different animal being a 40series Land Cruiser, though mine like many Japanese cars me from that era it’s a rusty pile. It doesn’t help that the previous owner left it abandoned for 19 years.
If the leak is coming from the weatherstrip seals, try to rejuvenate them with shin etsu grease. $15-20 for it and worth a try before spending a few hundred on new seals, assuming they still make them.
So a car port is a tricky thing as it's needs to be two car wide and wide enough to also maneuver into it. I don't plan to stay at this house forever, so it's an economic toss up. The cars going to be resprayed and sealed water tight from leaks, which means, no need for a cover
Given the "luck" you've had with this car, guess we shouldn't be surprised when another set back rears up. At least the mould isn't terrible....hopefully it doesn't ruin too much of the interior.
Nate if you are having water coming in through the fenders. Have a body man look to see if the car has been in a collision. And if you are going to store the car. Please put mothballs. In the trunk, and under the hood. This will prevent mice and insects from making a nest. Cause mice like to chew on wires. And if you are going to do the floor pans. I would use a plasma cutter/welder and go from under the car to prevent cutting the fuel lines. I hope you come to the Brimfield Mass flea market in Brimfield Mass you might find some 510 parts, manuals, etc. And dehumidified the car to prevent mold. I hope this helps out. And come to the historical racers where they have the Trans-Am b class. With the 510. Sven from the U.S.A.
As someone who's not a car person, I've missed this channel. I usually learn some cool stuff and you have a very personable feel to the videos.

The day you are done fixing this car and driving it will be a good day! Nice coverage of your fight to get this car up and running, keep it up!
I always admire Brits restoring these classic cars in that kind of climate... it's like a subtle yet steady FU to the weather.
Great era for cars...love the Datsuns.
That's one good looking car even dirty.
Ha, thank you!
It's really good to see you back Nate, i hope it's for a little bit longer this time? 😉
I want every early 70’s Japanese car. I’ve always wanted to get a 71 240z.
Good luck, they're SO expensive!
Glad you're back, always nice to see Jasper in these videos. And, of course, cool car, sorry it's a bit broken.
Thanks! 👍
@@MrHVlogsMoreYou're quite welcome, Good Sir.
Glad to hear from you
New subscriber, loving the datsun. 👍
Ayyyy good timing, just restarted work on my project 87 Mk1 MR2

I'm glad you're back
Did you ever look into building a canopy/carport in the garden?
Mold is the worst. You’ve got this. She’s a beauty.
Glad you're back !
👍🏻
I didn't know you had a car channel. I'm in!
Wow! Been a while buddy. 👍
Glad to see your back
car issues aside - still a beautiful car. Well done.
Glad your back, and on my birthday too lol
My sister in law has something similar in Australia same colour as well I think hers is an earlier model
Cool looking car

Think it's from the holes that used to have a vent in, I'm not sure! Need to take the dash out entirely.
Another good option is "gummi pfledge" from liqui moly. Probably easier to get hold of in the UK
Moldy but a goldy!
Looks sharp
I'm currently enjoying a plate of lasagna whilst watching this
Tasty!
Put up a car port and junk the cover! Recipe for mould!

Hopefully truck comes back soon
So cool

It's a 1968 jasper 4 paw.
Yes ...a lot of work to get it as you want it but not an impossible task and the effort will be well worth it. Nice little car.
If you want your fill of Jasper here is the channel to get it haha
