Top Hikes in Ocala National Forest | Florida Trail to Hopkins Prairie

Exploring the Florida National Scenic Trail located in Ocala National Forest. This section of the trail goes towards Hopkins Prairie Recreation Area which has some really nice camping sites. The views out here along the prairies are stunning! The Florida Trail goes for miles along this stretch of Ocala National Forest near Pat’s Island and The Juniper Prairie Wilderness as well. To discover this trail either start at the Pat's Island Trailhead or the trailhead off of forest road 86. The area is close to Silver Glen Springs as well and The Yearling Trail so there are lots of recreational activities to enjoy, thank you for watching and enjoy the adventure!

Pristine ! Have never hiked this part of Ocala. My dear friend Vince loved to camp there. Lost him to colon cancer few years back. I see from ur video, why he loved it so much ! Thanks T.B.

Love the Ocala section of the FT. I have backpacked section hiked from Clearwater Lake Recreation Area to Rodman Dam. Lots of beautiful woods and history. Are you a member if the FTA? I’m a member of the Highlanders Chapter. Great group of people. Thanks for sharing! Happy Trails🥾🥾🥾
