Land Cruiser Fender Flare Removal

How to take your fender flares off of your 90s era Land Cruiser. This is a simple job that I had seen several people ask about on the ih8mud.com forum. Since I had to do it I whipped out my phone and started recording it. Go get to it!

Good luck. Try not to break the plastic clips. If you have a body panel removal tool that might help.

I didn't replace them with the gaskets. I recommend that you do though as the gaskets make them seal nicely up to the body.

Watching 10 years later. Did you get the pins from the dealer?

Hi, if you are talking about the body clips that hold the flares in then yes, you can easily get those from the dealer. If you have a good autobody supply store in your town, you can take your broken clips in and they usually will have comparable ones in stock.

I love your tutorials, did the CDL button install thanks to you. You wouldn't happen to have a tutorial on installing a winch on a stock 80 series bumper, do you? I want to install the winch but I don't have the cash to install a winch bull bar.

Is it necessary to remove the flares to replace the gaskets or couldn't you peel off the gaskets and then paste ghetto new one between the space where the flare meets the fender? Also, why do you want to get rid of your intake?
