You are best mechanic not all dealerships have mechanics like you very educational and helpful video now I can adjust the valves myself thanks for posting
i also do it for each bolt hole Becuse i had a truck that had been to 3 different dealers and they installed an oil cooler each time. i get it for the 4th time and found out 3 days before the first oil cooler the customer had cups done. the bolts that hold the rocker shaft had hydro locked and cracked the head.
@@nickpurcella6590 so did the tap method. Put a bolt in the thread and yanked them out. Now would I have to do an overhead adjust even though I didn’t completely remove the rocker control arm
Did you leave the "orange or red" sealer on the base of the injector when you installed them? What was the purpose of putting it on the injector, placing the injector in the cup [i assume no orings] letting it set and them removing the injector? Haven't seen that done before.......

you should make full video torque the injectors back and torques for overhead valves
I love that you used an air gun to get extra fuel out to prevent hydrolock. I wish i wold have thought of that myself

What would you do if an injector cup won’t come out. I am in the middle of an MP8 injector cup job and right off the bat cylinder 1 cup stuck
@Robert Ridgeway depends if its a copper cup or SS cup. There is the old way of using a forming tap/pulled to remove them.

i didnt install injectors in this video, i instlled the SS cup and the red stuff is sealant between the cup and the head, per volvo
Good video. But what are the specs on the torque to sit the cups?
Volvo e- media because they change torque specs all the time
K cool.
What year is this truck??
its a common rail so 2018 or newer, but the cups part is the same on d12,d13/mp8 d11,mp7, d16/mp10 engines.
Do these injector cups fail just like in the earlier MP8? Engines sure would have thought after six years they would have had this issue fixed.
Is the d13 an the mp8 the same make??
Programing and valve cover is the only difference
