i recently made a star cuff for the first time and i really like the way it turned out! this was my first non-single kandi so im really happy it didnt fall apart or anything lol. i made a few mistakes but i fixed them, or improvised if it was too late to fix! (it turned out looking pretty cool though soooo) i wanted to make it because one of my favorite characters has a bracelet with huge beads and i had the idea to make a star cuff inspired by that bracelet!
FELLOW WXS FANNNNNN if it makes u feel good to know this i made a emu cuff, a miku cuff, and i’m gonna buy the string and beads to make the rest of the wxs cuffs :3
i also tried making a star one but it was too confusing so i made a rotator single that i didn’t have the string to make the other bumper for, and then i took the single, got the letters, and made a single that could fit me but eventually destroyed the cuff base and another 3d cuff for string to make a x base cuff that i didn’t know where to end, (i made it in all black and it was hard to see where to end it 😭) and ended up destroying that for string to make the rui cuff but it was too tight in one section so i just gave up
You don’t have to sew to make Kandi, it just makes it easier, and the knot that works best is just the knot you use to tie your shoes (minus the bow) and you do that like 10 times just to be safe

Tips from an experienced-ish kandi maker ❤ Get glue (preferably super glue or gel glue) to put on the knows of ur finished bracelets to make them less likely to break!! You can get plastic needles online or in craft stores for more complex kandi :3 Different types of string work better with different projects!1!1 (singles usually work better with stretchy but things like ladder stitches sometimes work better w/ stiffer string) Ik I’m 3 months late and ur prolly really good now but hopefully I helped a little PLUR ❤
Ignore the fact that I'm 4 months late, but I started out by just making singles. Then, I made little charms like flowers. Then, I advanced into ladder bracelets. It can take a while to learn, but I think if you put some time into it, you will get better and better! :)
Love watching these cause it reminds me of when me and my cousin went on a vacation to West View a few weeks ago and they brought stuff to make these types of bracelets. I made like 4 of them lol.

@@Pindie12321 i like things that dont dangle so when i make bracelets i make them tight but the bigger beads squeeze my wrists while i cant even feel the smaller beads. i have a REALLY bad habit of being self aware of my veins at all time and when i feel bracelets on my skin and i focus on it i feel like they’re squeezing too tight and i hallucinate my hands turning purple. i hope that makes sense 😭
I'm thinking about doing stuff like this. I've been planning on doing amigurumi as well so Kandi bracelets seem like a fun thing to do when I'm feeling creative, I also do loomigurumi. Edit: I do realize Kandi has some culture behind so that also makes it more fun!
