I needed this as a reminder. I suffer from panic attacks and my husband and I dive Lake Mead to get me comfy before our dive in Cozumel next week. My favorite hand signal is ✋ 😂. It gives me a few seconds to ground myself when I’m uncomfortable about my surroundings, in this case it was the poor visibility and temp changes that I wasn’t used too. I was able to enjoy the dive.
Thanks for all the help the other day. Gilboa visibility was phenomenal. Probably the best dive site in the entire Midwest. Literally drove 19hrs to dive here. Amazing as always
Thanks for sharing. I'm diving at home this weekend - Melbourne Australia. Should be about 18c and will be nice and warm in my drysuit.
this looks like a place where I dive! great video and great advice. just relax! you have the rest of your life to figure the problem out!
I'm diving the Grand Turk wall again on Wednesday so should be a touch warmer than the quarry. This was a great video on how to stop and think your way through a situation and not panic. It's one of the reasons that I recommend that divers get some experience before they move up in training. Having a firm grasp on fundamentals before pushing deeper and longer is a must.
Long-time tech diver, recent Choptima convert here. Would love to see more Choptima, tech- specific content. In this vid I noticed your computer’s mini-display with two renamed Tx's and dPPO2 slots. Really useful. I have a hard time reading the O2 spg on my chop - need to add an O2-friendly SWIFT to my rig. BTW, I’m also someone who found great comfort in tech diving when I became sober 17 years ago. In fact, cleaning up my act helped me to manage an early retirement to dushi Bonaire where I dive almost everyday. Play safe!
love it, thanks for the comment!
Thank you for sharing this video it may save someone's life. Gilboa Springs???

Why is panic so bad and should be avoided? It's because you will make decisions too quick and without forethought.
Panic is never good, when we panic it’s a recipe for disaster. There most definitely will be a cascade of errors that follow, each one compounding the other until catastrophic failure.
