genio como estas, los planos los venden en algun lado? tenia intenciones de armar algo similar y realizarlo yo como proyecto personal. muchas gracias!!!
Thx for sharing! Question: why T-molding instead of U molding? I mean, if doing it on a budget, the tool for the slit is not easy to obtain. I guess U molding gets off more often with aging and use.
I used to do video game conversions. After a few conversions I realized I don't have to adhere the cpo on at all Since I am using a full polycarbonate overlay and so many buttons. I leave the wax paper on, line it up nicely cut and put through a couple of buttons to hold it in place then I cut the rest. If I want to change the overlay, I replace it with a new one and take the old one off. The plexi holds it in place nicely , The old CPO is easily removed to be used again by someone else and is less work to put on not having to apply it or worry about bubbles etc.
Any chance you can include the parts list for what you ordered from Ultimarc? Love your videos but get real confused on all the parts to order to bring everything together. That is like the one missing piece "feel lost" when I go to Ultimarc, SO many options. You already do it perfect. I'd just want to order the exact same thing you did and build it myself LOL. Thanks keep up the great work.
Yes, I had this same question on every single one of Daniel's videos. I saw several other posts (on nearly every single video) and everyone seems to keep asking the same questions over and over, but I have watched all the videos and I can't seem to figure out all the exact parts or even where to buy everything. I saw some parts are from Ultimarc, but it would be helpful if we had a parts list (with links) with quantities so we know EXACTLY what parts to order (and how many of each) for each build, and where to order each part from. Hopefully Daniel can please post the information, it would be extremely helpful and I have searched ALL the videos and this video is the ONLY one that even shows the "parts ordering" but it's fast forwarded and nearly everything is "cut out" so I have watched it over and over several times, and still can't figure out exactly the parts or part numbers or even what to order or from where. It's too confusing, and a simple parts list (with links) in the video descriptions of each video would be extremely helpful for viewers and others that want to try and build a cabinet themselves. I plan to try and build one with my two daughters, but I feel "completely lost" (as do you) when it comes to ordering the parts needed. Ultimarc has so many options (as do other vendors) and I just wish we had the exact parts list with links, so we knew what to order (and from where). If anyone can please post a parts list, I greatly appreciate it! Please and thank-you! Thanks Daniel for the amazing videos, and I hope you can please update your video descriptions with a complete parts list with links on where to order each part. It would be extremely helpful for the viewers! Thank-you Daniel for the amazing videos! Please and thank-you!
Hi, I don't make the artwork anymore but I always used to work in Illustrator so I could use the DXF file of the panel. In my full size Arcade video I reccomend a guy on Fiverr. For a small payment he will make beautiful artwork for you. Just send him your Illustrator file(s). Thanks, Daniel
Hi Daniel, your videos are AMAZING and I have been watching them for several weeks / months now. After watching many of your videos, I am beginning to feel "brave" enough to try and build a cabinet with my two daughters as a small home project with my kids. I have been watching every single video that you post, and I am extremely grateful and thankful for your amazing videos! Your work is AMAZING! I would like to build a 50" Megacade cabinet with my two daughters, and possibly include a built-in fridge (like you have done). I have watched a LOT LOT LOT of videos from various arcade cabinets, but I do like your videos and design(s). Any chance you can include the parts list (with links) for what you ordered from Ultimarc? I have watched ALL of your videos (multiple times) including this one, but you fast forward so quickly and I can't seem to figure out what you ordered, and there doesn't seem to be a parts list anywhere. I saw several comments on many of your videos of people asking the same exact questions, but I don't seem to see any answer. Any chance you can include the parts list for what you ordered (with links) from Ultimarc? (Or wherever you order from). Just so we can see a complete parts list, with links and we can order the same identical parts. Please and thank-you for all your help and AMAZING videos! Thanks Daniel!
Hi, thanks for your comment! I do sell the designset including full partlist if you are interested, you can email me at thedanielspies at gmail.com for this. Thanks, D
Hi and good evening Daniel. I hope all is well and that your new projects are coming along fine. I am currently trying to design a mini two player unit. I will be using two 7 inch screens back to back. With one player controls on each side. I was looking for the smallest joystick and buttons I could find that would also be enjoyable to use so not to small. I was wondering If you had any idea or advice of where I could find some please and any recommendations. Thank you and have a great day
Great video! Any chance you can post up a parts list? I know that website doesn’t ship to the United States, it’ll be nice to get a parts list and maybe try to find something similar out here in the States. Great content though, thanks in advance,.
I find making my wood work designs in 2d in corel draw super easy. also adding cam lock and dowel holes gives it a stronger finish. Also you can pickup a mini PC from china and there amazing man. 9th gen I3-I9 16gb ddr4 ram GTX 1050TI. well worth it for the performance and those higher end PC games. artwork and finish on this is quality man
Great job so far by the way. Hey any idea how much you paid for the materials??? (plexiglass, sticker, MDF, CNC routing, buttons, joystick, microseitches, T-moulding, etc) Just trying to get an estimate because I was thinking about building me something like this.
You can make a build as cheap (or as expensive) as you would like. All depending on the quality of your materials and components. Can't remember how much I have spend on parts for that panel, sorry :-)
Hi, this is not necessary because the buttons are holding the vinyl into place :-) Also, the glue/tape would make the acrylic semi-transparent. Just choose non-adhesive acrylic. Thanks, Daniel
Hi, I ordered the Vinyl at a local printing company. I choose the high gloss version. Because of the extra glossy cover, the material is a bit thicker and has a nicer feel. Thanks, Daniël
Yes, one might think that indeed but this is impossible due to player position. If it would be symmetrical it would look better indeed but would be impossible to play on :-) Anyway, thanks for your comment, Kind regards, Daniel
Just connect it to a power supply (5v) and add your HDMI cable. I can't help you how to setup HyperMarquee but that is the program I use to get the game- art on the extra screens. Have fun building!
Strange but really good tip: check your screen refresh rate of your TV. If it is on 50 hertz (standard in the Netherlands) it runs great. When put on 60 hertz (to get rif of the flickering during filming) the audio did stutter and lag a lot. Also, check if you have the correct hardware, mame version, romset etc. Ik hope you will fix this, Thanks, Daniel
