And that boardwalk was just rebuilt this summer. I was walking on it wearing my "Free Hugs" t-shirt just 2 weeks prior to Ian's landfall. I hope everyone down there is safe now. I'll be coming back next spring for a beach trip & next summer for multiple beach days.

“Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022, the U.S. has provided approximately $16.2 billion in aid to Ukraine”….., We have Americans that need help, we can’t keep handing Ukraine our money! We have massive inflation, wide open borders and a President (and VP) that can’t form a coherent sentence! We need to keep that money at home.. I hate that there is a war happening, I know the damage it causes, I lost a brother in 2012 on his 5th tour of duty… it’s sad that it’s happening, but we have people to help at home! Plus, we really have no idea where all of that money is really going!!!!! I’m sure a nice chunk is landing in various bank accounts because the ones at the top don’t give a damn about any of us!!

It's going to take years, if not decades, to rebuild the dunes lost all up and down the Grand Strand from Pawley's Island to the Little River jetty.
