Sorry for the late reply. The blank I used was a piece I had lying around at work, If you Google "sublimation aluminuim blanks" there are quite a few companies who deal with this. Hope this helps.
Yep just ordinary laminate sheet. I have tried perspex but it tended to warp, unless you take it out the press and keep it flat whilst it cools, but it does work.
It's the plastic folder you normally put through a laminator, for example. www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=laminator+machine&adgrpid=56896118607&hvadid=259075868349&hvdev=m&hvlocphy=9073553&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=16614252865801134156&hvtargid=kwd-21809106&hydadcr=20935_1784023&tag=hydrukspg-21&ref=pd_sl_7iojzhstkd_
i have a question: when you press the laminate sheet do you put butcher paper over that to prevent the plastic from sticking to the press? i cant tell in the video if that butcher paper under or over the laminate sheet. thank you so much for the video.
Thanks for your question, I didn't use paper as its only the dull side of the laminate sheet that is the adhesive, it's the same principle as using a laminator. Hope this helps.
I used blue tack to stick it to my kitchen cupboards just for display purpose for this video, but I had to make sure I cleaned it off before the wife got home : ) but I've also used double sided tape and velcro to stick it in my car.
Fantastic 👌♥️
@magsbain8143 Glad it was helpful for you
Great Information, and thank you for sharing, :)
Hi, thanx for this amazing tip, are the painted metal with white heat-resistant paint working out instead of laminate?
Sir i ask you about aluminum . 1060 aluminum canprint in dye ink
Fair play, that looks ace mate
Thanks Adam I need something to do in my spare time, till this thing blows over
Iru di atas almunium nya di kasuh plastik atau stiker apa
Hi, thank you for the vedio. I just wanted to ask you the same process we can do on steel surface
I should think so, as it the laminate sheet the ink sticks to. 👍
What thickness of laminate are you using, or does it matter?
@@ColleenWaynestire To be honest I don't think it matters, but I wonder if a thick laminate might hold more ink, please let me know how you get on.
What is the laminate sheet?
just curious, why you a laminate sheet? I put image straight onto aluminum and its just fine.
Did you use aluminium with a coating
@@jaars911 no, no coating, just straight onto a 10x12 piece of aluminum to make a metal poster
the laminate is not sticking to the aluminum bracelet blanks. Any suggestions?
I'm not sure about shop brought blanks, but are you putting the laminate gloss side up as the dull side is the adhesive side.
@@DMCProduction68 yes, have tried several times, I found a new solution tho, thanks for the reply
@tinarideout8784 Glad you're all sorted
Which side of the laminate sheet should be use
@@jaars911 Glossy side

Did you just laminate one side or both sides?
Just the one side, I plan on trying the other side.
I'm very sorry for asking this because I don't understand why you have printed on a non-sublimation plate, is it true?
So you have to laminate aluminium before you can put a design on it?
Yes, but I do believe you can by aluminium sheets already prepared for sublimation.
What brand of sublimation ink did you use
Just a cheap one of eBay, just to see how I got on with sublimation
What did you use to mount it to the wall?
I used blue tack to stick it to my kitchen cupboards just for display purpose for this video, but I had to make sure I cleaned it off before the wife got home : ) but I've also used double sided tape and velcro to stick it in my car.
