Hello Aluxers! You're all risk-takers here, so.. What's the biggest risk you ever took in life? We put together a list of the biggest regrets people have on their deathbed, might want to check it out next: ua-cam.com/video/j6prM5xOuAU/v-deo.html
I moved out over a year ago (Summer of 2020) and began renting a place of my own. It was quite nerve-wracking. Turned out to be the best decision I've made in life so far!!!
Biggest risk. When I was in college, I was working on dams in the summer. I hate heights. I had to make a small repair to the spillway of one dam that was 60 ft/18 m above a bunch of rocks. There was water going over the spillway, so I had to wait until there was almost no water going over. Each week for 3 weeks the water was going down. On the 4th week I had to do it or not. I went out and repaired the damage. There was no room for mistakes. The next week I discovered I'd done the work incorrectly and had to repair it again. I did that, ensuring it was right and would stay, and it was good! I hate being 3 feet above the ground. Here I was 60 feet, and it really was all up to me. Best thing I ever did. RISK.
I made a risk when I moved to Seattle from Texas after I was broke, suicidal and homeless. I got lucky, had a friend who wasn't living in their apt so I took over rent with one month free. I walked for miles risking my feet and back (first learned about sciatic pain haha) but I found a job and paid rent. I got a better job, then another and another then decided to open my business. Now I'm a 1/3 homeowner in Seattle just a few minutes from the beach. My business just hit 100k in gross sales and my cost of operation is about 30% so I am no longer broke and I have assets now that will only appreciate.
Your story really motivates me, it shows everything is possible. I broke financially last month so i have to rebuild myself. At least i don't have debt and have a job. I have plans and goals for the future including a business idea, so everything depends on me. Thanks for sharing!
Nice video.... Successful people take risk... Invest their money and time on businesses at any given opportunity. Money is worthless until you put it to work.
@stephen carter You don't need to be shocked, cause am also a huge beneficiary of Elias Greyson he helped me recover what I lost trying to trade for myself
1) Risk getting incredibly wealthy 1) Risk getting the person of your dreams 3) Risk ridicule in exchange for making your dreams Come true 4) Risk dropping out or quitting to start your own business 5) Risk investing in yourself 6) Risk starting over 7) Risk being honest 8) Take risks under your own name 9) Risk being in the public eye 10) Risk going against the consensus and be right 11) Risk bringing change to your inner circle and Community 12) Risk being yourself when everyone wants you to be Someone else 13) Risk finding your true limits 14) Risk having your own metrics for success 15) Risk a bad meal to find the magical one
Sometimes it feels like your in a jail cell when you don't have enough money, just confined, I will risk almost everything to not be confined any more. Very motivational video
I offer professional account management for investors/clients willing to trade the Forex and binary market, as well an open-network system to enable them get in grips with trading overtime.
No. 12: The risk of being yourself is so true. I felt like, I am not free. Once you get the recognition of people you felt the pressure to act the way they wanted. They want you to be this, or that, or anything that you're not. I felt that pressure and to think what I would choose, to be myself or pretend where I'm not happy. You're constantly having the confusion of who am I. It is so hard and sometimes, I like to shut myself from the world, constantly reminding myself of my values, who am I, reflecting everything I've been doing.
RISK. I've always seen myself as an enabler of great things and throughout my career, I've seen the massive success of others through my ideas and quick-thinking but also spent a lot of that time being anonymous, feeling like an imposter, like I was not worthy of great reward, and just plain old "happy to have been part of the plan". The result was a feeling of being left behind or cast aside. This video has hit home for me on a number of levels. I am literally starting over from scratch, pushing all my chips into the table. It's time to win.
RISK I risked having my son last year. I was 26, pretty broke and took the pregnancy test just as lockdown started. I had no idea how my husband and I were going to manage, but we focused and got our shit together. I've turned my own life around and the things I've learnt since have made me stronger and smarter. This baby has a better childhood than either of us, and it feels amazing
Taking Risk is more important factor for a successful life. Once Swami Vivekananda said "Take risk in your life, if you win you owe it, if you lose you will gain enough experience to guide others" Alux really inspires a lot of future Billionaires.
One quote from Richard Branson on failure is "I’ve had many challenges - every entrepreneur does - it’s the nature of the beast. It can be a challenge not to let failure, or negativity from others, prevent you from going after what you believe in" Facing the negativity from other people and not allowing it into your life, be it from family/friends or even a stranger on the street is a tough challenge, I'm facing it right now, I'm at the next stage of my life, I know what I want in life and it will involve risks and failure to get there. But I ain't giving up, no way, the outcome of me giving up is something that's just scary and I don't want that.
The last time I took major risks was during 2020. I had to go through a lot of major issues, but I kept pushing through the pain and anxiety and have come out better. The only thing that stopped me was my physical limits based on my cucrent circumstances. Honestly I'm still pushing: the situation and what I need to push through is what has changed. I think that after these 3 years now is the time to relax in order to grow more naturally. My being cannot keep this type of growth up indefinetly but I know I did my best and I will never give up. No one can say I did not put my being through the absolute shit, constantly to the point where now everyone is telling me to STOP XD. I know that the guilt I feel relaxing or not doing some things I used to is important, but now is that time since I am coming into a new stage of growth in my life that will lead me to success and a new situation where I can build generational and inner wealth of being. Thank you Alux for being there to give the hard truth that is so desperately needed for young people like me.
Risk As a mom of 2 kids, I used my stimulus check to take an online IT class so I can work from home. I now have a 6 figure job working from home. I am glad I took the risk.
Risk. 2 months ago, I quit my permanent contract job while having my first kid on the way, opting for a new position at a year contract with only marginally higher pay (it differs a max of 30 euros per month) but in the field I've been wanting to get into for years. Decided to flip the proverbial bird(it all went professionally) and to choose for myself, even at the risk of unemployment with a baby coming. Couldn't be happier I did it, enjoying my work so much more! My wife recently commented I actually smile when I get home these days.
RISK. After I had a life changing event in 2016, I had to reinvent myself. I haven't looked back, and I have had nothing but success since I started on my own path. I can confirm that everything in this video is 100% true, thank you Alux for your continued support and inspiration. I'll die with memories, not dreams.
Risk ... The last time I took a risk was 2020 April at the start of covid. I went online and completed the necessary work to become a security guard. Most jobs require one year experience in the field when I had spent the last 3 years being a waitress. It took seemingly forever, until October, before I was issued my guard card. Now I have a job I love and am willing to stay with hopefully until retirement. By the way, I do get really encouraged listening to these videos to give me a necessary positive mental experience to be constantly learning new things. Thank you and your videos are the best. Keep up the good work ALUX
2011: moved from Iowa to Malibu for law school 2012: took 2 unpaid internships in Hollywood 2014: took a minimum wage job in the mailroon at the largest talent agency in Hollywood 2016: started overseeing TV shows for studios 2018: started overseeing films for studios 2019: quit to move money from China to Hollywood (pandemic) 2020: opened my own firm 2021: thriving
Risk. I left my job, my car, and my home i paid off recently to help remodel a home. Learning how to at least maintain my investment. My house was built in 1901, so I've learned a lot so I may help it last another 100 years. Once I get some things fixed, I plan on renting the place while I work on finding a new home, as well as scoop up some of those 40+ acre properties for less than 50k. Also taking risks in the stock/crypto exchange. The only regret I've had with investing so far, is that I did not have more money to invest with. Thanks for the videos, and advice. Some I've naturally picked up and knew to be true regardless of what others say, some I questioned, and others you have opened my eyes to. Lastly, since I was a child, I've always wanted to write a book. I've got ideas, but for some reason it seems getting what's in my head onto paper is more of a chore than anything else. Possibly because I created too big of expectations along the way.
A risk I took was leaving the military. I had a lot of fun moments but many service members stay in because it's safe (ironically), consistent bimonthly paycheck, set daily schedule, 3 meals a day, won't have to worry about getting fired over shitty work, automatic 401k contributions and are told what to do and how. I knew prior to leaving the dangers I would need to embrace transitioning back into civilian life. Lack of purpose, you set your schedule, Returning to the same shit you've been doing prior to the military, Getting into trouble with the law, risk of losing your job, inconsistent pay check, lack of physical fitness, no 3 meals a day, Lack of recognition, no one cares about your problems, no retirement, no accountability, no one looking over your shoulder telling what is right or wrong. But the singular best thing I got out of leaving the military is..... Choice. The choice knowing I can set my schedule, how much I can make and etc. The choice knowing I don't have a contract hanging over my head. Choice knowing my time is not the government's time.
BRAVO TO YOU! I've done four years in military. I left with a plan, and never looked back. I've met folks that were afraid to leave, afraid to travel, afraid to LIVE. Been out nearly thirty years...loving FREE CHOICE. NO REGRETS.
Taking risks during the pandemic. Long story short, a developer lost his job due to covid, started a new business model, and failed.. ended up with his parents. A year later with a new plan, but a new variant Omicron spread all over the world. To avoid the long-term risk, planning to postpone it and get more knowledge in the meantime. ✌🏼
Dear friend, don't allow your self to be controlled by these five things: 1. Your past 2. Other People's opinion 3. Limited beliefs 4. Relationships 5. Money
Tomorrow I will be medically retired from the military. As painful as this is I try to think of the opportunities I will now have away from this environment and the success I can achieve. I’m glad I watched this video today. It made me think of all the obstacles I’ve overcome and the successes I’ve had both in and out of service. This not only gives me confidence but hope that the future will be much better than my past.
Natural born risk taker since 2010 & I haven’t stopped since , when you look back at how far you grow from it , how much experience you gain from it & how far you come from making such choices it’s always better then being just the person who sits there & wonders “if I did this different then maybe this would have happened” Don’t be a person like that , always take the risk ✅☝🏾.
You said it just how I felt those years back wow! I’m glad you pushing forward bro !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would see you at the top don’t give up and if you like to share ideas like I do, then message me
@@tishagonzalez725 Sure that can work , send over your social media contact information ℹ️ or others means of contact & we can build I’m cool with that that’s fine ✅.
@@tishagonzalez725 It’s got your Instagram name on it you could have just told me that before 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 no need to play games at all but since u talking money 💰 I’ll chase you up & follow you.
This video has ignited the true inspiration in me.🔥 I'm an old subscriber of it btw. "RISK" Yeah I'm gonna take as much as possible according to my risk reward ratio.💪🏼 Some near future risks for me are: Moving out & living alone, Becoming super-rich, Quitting short term pleasures for long term peace And Trying to live a legacy. ❤️ Thanks ✌🏼
Risk to trust your own judgment even against those think they have your best interest at heart. At the end of the day, it's your life to live not theirs. I work in healthcare communications because I took the risks at the right time, in the right place and even though the journey was hard. I never stopped, even when a bad opinion was still In the back of my mind 20 years later. "You will never be good enough" All the while, I simply kept working and gained more experience, learned more, gained more insight and now am very successful in my career even though she STILL provides bad advice and is stagnant.
Crypto and stock is the future ,investing in it now is the wisest thing to do now especially the current rise Despite all the economic crisis this is the right time to start up an investment
@@rosemadison2488 I have also been trading with Mr Jerfferson , The profits are secured and over a 100% return on investment directly sent to your wallet, I'm a living testimony of his work.
In 2018 I was offered a bigger responsibility in my job, because of my dedication and performance. Initially i was afraid of the change thinking i didnt have required skills, somehow I got the courage to take the risk. I learnt the skills required and performed well in the new role. Now in 2021 I am voluntarily leaving the current job to take another risk in my life. When I look back now I feel I won on the thing that intimidated me once.
At age 27 I just met my fiance. I quit my full-time job, enrolled to a private college, move to a different city, we took a loan for the apartment and started my business. Fast forward to 2021. I graduated, I expanded the business and I got married. Yes I can say that universe works in mysterious ways.
Do you know the risk on being at the top that I learned the hard way? It is the risk of having no friends. Everyone was waiting for you to crumble, waiting for you to mess up. Everyone who praises you, will ridicule you so fast you felt so betrayed. I've always been so sad because everyone who seems to be so wary of you. They changed. First, they would treat you right because they didn't see you as a threat, but once they feel like you're much better than them, they'll do everything to knock you down, discourage you, everything. If their mentality was to become the same and try to improve, the world will be a better place.
*"You truly appreciate a good meal if you've been eating shit for a while."* ~ 15:09 ~ This is truly of of my favorite quotes in life ever only from Alux. Thank you Alux!
I FEEL LIKE THE HODLING SEASON IS OVER, I'M TRYING TO GET INTO TRADING AS A ROOKIE, BUT I'VE HAD SO MUCH LOSS TRYING TO TRADE ON MY OWN, PLEASE WHAT STRATEGIES DO I NEED TO EARN PROFITS FROM THE MARKET?
I bought a number of residential plots near to my city in 2013. But technically those were in the village area. Everybody told me that I was a fool. My rich cousin told me that people who sold me those land must had reasons & they weren’t doing any mistake, I was. Cut short, in 2019 I finished paying all my installments & got my plots registered. In mid 2020 those plots were included in the city corporation extension areas. Price is already hiking & I'm expecting in a few years it will multifold. Thing is that when I booked those plots back in 2013 I thought if the city wants to grow, this is the most probable direction.
I'm taking a risk right now working on my car! I'm retired and on a fixed income so I can't always afford taking my car in for service. My ABS Brake System just went out and it would cost thousands to get it fixed at a shop. I invested in some tools today and ordered a remanufactured part that cost less than a new one. Years ago when I had little money I began to do independent stock trading and built my account from $0 to $300,000! I lost most of it in the crash of 2000 but it taught me that with big risks come big rewards!
Thank you, Alux. Your channel is the reason I decided to pursue my writing and art. I've finished my first paid writing contract thanks, in large part, to this channel. I now have multiple contracts lined up. You are correct about luck finding those who work for it. Thank you for your ongoing guidance and wisdom!
RISK. The last time I took a risk was to travel to an entirely new place and stay there for a couple of months without knowing how it would turn out, despite taking money from my savings because I desperately needed a break, so I did it, and it was one of the most memorable experiences of my life so far.
My gf of 5 years and I live in a different state than our relatives. We have a baby due in 2 months. We want to move back to where our family is around us and to do that im going to take the RISK moving there myself for a better job and get us an apartment suitable for raising our little one. Our relatives around where we currently live gave me harsh criticism after having shared this idea with them because It will take 4 to 5 months until she and our baby can move in with me. There is much better clientele potential at our destination (we're both independent contractors). They criticize me but I must not choose the comfort of home from a better choice.
I took a risk over 6 years ago leaving my country to Europe. That risk paid over and to double on that, thank you ALUX. I cannot remember the date I met you but of course you are the game changer, the educator, tell it like it is platform. I'm so proud of myself and my hat off to you. One Love.
the thing i was most afraid of was not failure but not giving my all and regretting it all my life. I messed up the entirety of 12th and we had an entrance test (for the whole country) in 4 months. So most people i knew gave up. While i was hell bent on not giving up and I pushed beyond the impossible and studied 12-13 hours everyday. Ultimately managed to get into top 7% and now im in a decent uni and have no regrets.
To the *incredible person* that's seeing this, I wish you all the best in life❤ don't ever blame yourself, accept things and go forward. Your smile is precious and the keys to a happy life is in your hands.
Amazing!! Indeed one of my favorites. I believe we are at constant risk from the moment we open our eyes until they are shut again. However the most life fulfilling moments are in direct proportionate to the level of risk. But not everyone can tolerate risk or better yet the worry and anxiety that comes with it. But I do believe and I have seen it that if you don’t take the right risks when you know the reward would be greater; time will fly by you and that, you can never take back. And the regret that comes with it will haunt you for the rest of your life. Best of luck to all the risk takers out there.
RISK My biggest risk was being a dad at 23. Starting a business, dropping out of college, all of those were easy. Being a parent is still the most challenging and rewarding quest of my life :)
In 2020 I took the risk of going to Rio for Carnival totally alone and it was worth it because I accidentally met and dated my favorite model. I didn't even know it was him for three days when he showed me the picture of him that made him my favorite model. I did have to cut the trip short by a week because of Covid though. I wouldn't trade the memories we made for anything. Like just imagine that: you're in a totally foreign place where you don't even speak the language and something as great as that happens. The best part is that he made sure I was safe and had fun the entire time.
I took a risk 23 years ago by deciding to immigrate (alone, entirely by myself) to a new country 10,000 miles away from my birthplace and family. Doing so absolutely transformed my life.♥
Risk! It's precisely the risk that I took 8years ago that set me free from always needing the approval from others, being a employee that fit in to now being self employed and earning in multiples more than what I used to. Take the leap, listen to your heart!
A few years ago, my school wanted someone to do a speech on Deforestation, the toppers were giving auditions. I took the risk to do it and they chose me. I was afraid but I said to myself 'if it went bad then yeah I'm not a topper obviously, but if it went well then that'd surprise the masses'. I prepared my speech as if it was a Ted Talk, on the day of the speech, it went perfectly as planned and since that day, every time they had a speaking part in a programme, they'd ask me to do it.
Risk!!! Point #7 about honesty, please note: Everything you say should be true; but not Everything that is true should be said! Thanks as always, Alux! Amazing video once again.
I took a risk in 2016 by moving to a different state. Five years fast forward, I earned a master's degree, a great job and bought a house. I am happy I took this risk. It was scary but worth it.
I'm.. 50 a.n.d m.y. husband 54 we are both retired with over $3 million in net worth and no debt's. Currently living smart and frugal with our money.serving and investing life style in the stock market made it possible for us this early even till now we earn weekly. Thanks to fire movement.
One thing i love about alux is that they read and reply our comments if necessary . They are not lazy . They put time to communicate with other people .
Risk. I've let go of my previous job in Feb 2021 and have been pursuing a course for my dream career, I'm behind on everything when compared to others who are taking the course but the satisfaction with each new learning has been amazing
Incredible person reading this, go after what it is that you want in life! Learn the skills, do whatever it takes! You are capable of anything! I believe in you! ✨ Love - Nat ❤️
I embrace risk! An opportunity comes around and I assess if it's attainable for me or not then I go for it despite the walls or mountains that I have to climb I do it anyway. I failed many times but I feel in the long run I will succeed. When I look back in my life I have no regrets because I've tried. I know in the near future I will succeed!
One of the biggest risk I took in my life so far is In 2021 I quit my job in Corporate and I attained my Certified International Trade Professional Designation from Forum For International Trade endorsed by United Nations for which I was working for 2 years. In march I was so frustrated from Job life I quit my job and I started investing more in myself and took dispatching courses and I started my own business in July. Now, I own a Truck Dispatching company as well IT Company. And I promised myself to never look back.
A will ago a friend told me she took a view years of her life to get where she wanted to be. I found it was pure gold! So I became an ingeneer, did a lot of self improvement(thanks Alux), learned how to sell and know I starting my own company. The work is not done but it is a beautiful path.
You should know it's easy and hard to make such profit.I said Easy because it's very possible to make that much, and Hard because you'll need professional assistance to do it, l'd suggest you get assisted by a market advisor.
@Molly Mckeever I can't disclose too much, but yea I've been using a coach called Mr 'Justin Mason' and through his guidances I've been able to make approx. $24,000 in dividend on a monthly basis it is pretty straight forward, not as complicated as it use to be
RISK. I took a chance to relocate to another country despite the odds and it worked out. The process took over a year, and I had to write a key exam twice. I even gave up at a point cause I felt it wasn't worth it anymore. Thankfully, I found my reason again [a better quality of living] and kept moving forward.
11 yrs ago I and my wife quit our stable jobs in China then come to work overseas in Singapore..that decision was against opinions of our parents and most of our friends becoz our previous jobs were relatively decent there and we easily gave them up to pursue some unknown future far away from home. Now we r basically financially independent, living expenses covered by passive income from index fund and bonds, and we plan to retire early....
Thanks for your feedback , I will also advise you get a good life by starting to invest , especially on stock market and crypto currency,I will refer you to my trade analyst and financial guru to assist you and make good profits ...
The biggest risk I took was buying a small apartment building 8 years ago half-filled with drug users, pushers, and other problem tenants. After a lot of stress in the early years, our equity is now 10x the initial investment, and we have great tenants that appreciate the nice place to live we provide.
Decided to invest in myself, take a risk and change my life after being retrenched. That's when I realized how much I risked my life for another's dream.... it's been hard and lonely, but will keep at it.
RISK, Narrator gal, your voice and enthusiasm is magnetic and absolutely spot on perfect for this venue. It causes people to lean in. Your videos I look forward to and I get at least one big LOL in each. I’ve learned a lot and I’m 63 but I’m gaining ground and enjoying the content you provide
This is what I always like about Alux. No BS. SHEER TRUTH, Ridiculed,embarassment-sometimes is the entry fee. I have experience that too, but I keep telling myself it ia part of the process and it favors me. I may be far from being wealthy and financially stable but I am working on it and breaking it daily.
reading about people grabbing multi-figures monthly as incomes in investments even in this crazy days in the market, any pointers on how to make substantial progress in earning? would be appreciated
You make it seem unreal to ake up to that as a passive income annually, when its clearly possible. I have made over 1Hunnid thousand dollars from January till now with no joke game plan. She's a masterpiece and her name's Elizabeth
I think a Good T/A like her will pay off more than random u-tube videos ,a lot of UA-camrs dont actually care if you loose money, they just want more views and traffic!
I took the risk to not to go to college and learn on my own about finance and the stock market and today 2 years have gone by and I am proud of myself that I took the risk . When I look back at myself two years ago I am amazed of how much I have improved . This was the most rewarding risk I took in my life .
Don't be afraid to ask. If you don't ask you could pass on a yes. Be your authentic self and unique.stay educated. Don't take no unless its really bad.
"RICKS" Is it worry tell someone u see every day in school how u feel about him or her even if the person made it clear that 'he or she don't have feelings for anyone, and is not interested in any relationship' in a truth or dare game, is it worry taking the risk?
"Being an entrepreneur isn't really about starting a business. It's a way of looking at the world: seeing opportunity where others see obstacles, taking risk when others take refuge." Michael Bloomberg
I realized it late... but I was fascinated once I got the idea of a financially free life and wanted that .... I'm in my 12th and didn't take commerce.. but took science ... nevertheless I'm gonna find my way out
RISK!!!!!! i WANT TO PUT ALL MY STUFF IN STORAGE AND MOVE IN WUTH MY AUNT IN Germany. Everyone tells me I need to be stable but im only 26 and feel like I still have time to venture out and see what's out there. But I have been afraid of the Risk... any ideas or help with this?
Risk! Currently I have been unemployed for years trying to land in a government "safe" job. Now at 28 I am gonna start a freelance career in animation from scratch.. Its too scary, family still preferring I pursue safe jobs but leta see how it pans out
"Insanity is doing the same things and expecting different results" - Albert Einstein. So start with small changes daily or you'll go round in circles for the rest of your life.
I wanted to study science subject after 10th. But my grades were very low… still I applied only for the subject I wanted… after many rejections I finally got to study the subject.
I am a woman, i have 2 kids,27 years old and muslim afghan living in a country which i am not able to have a bank accound or buy a house. My husband cant work and my mom support us. No job and left school in8th grade . Not a good cook or at anything. I wonder what can you suggest someone like me??
Hello Aluxers! You're all risk-takers here, so.. What's the biggest risk you ever took in life?
We put together a list of the biggest regrets people have on their deathbed, might want to check it out next: ua-cam.com/video/j6prM5xOuAU/v-deo.html
To live alone and do what you have to at the cost of your well-being
I moved out over a year ago (Summer of 2020) and began renting a place of my own. It was quite nerve-wracking. Turned out to be the best decision I've made in life so far!!!
I went on some solo trips!
RISK.
RISK
I made a risk when I moved to Seattle from Texas after I was broke, suicidal and homeless. I got lucky, had a friend who wasn't living in their apt so I took over rent with one month free. I walked for miles risking my feet and back (first learned about sciatic pain haha) but I found a job and paid rent. I got a better job, then another and another then decided to open my business. Now I'm a 1/3 homeowner in Seattle just a few minutes from the beach. My business just hit 100k in gross sales and my cost of operation is about 30% so I am no longer broke and I have assets now that will only appreciate.
Congrats on your milestone, bro.. What business are you in?
Happy for you!🥂
@M R P Mainly Music but I also do general contractoring and app development

Nice video.... Successful people take risk... Invest their money and time on businesses at any given opportunity. Money is worthless until you put it to work.

You will win one way or another!
Wow!! That's great. May GOD bless your family abundantly.
Awesome
Taking Risk is more important factor for a successful life.
Once Swami Vivekananda said
"Take risk in your life, if you win you owe it, if you lose you will gain enough experience to guide others"
Alux really inspires a lot of future Billionaires.
One quote from Richard Branson on failure is "I’ve had many challenges - every entrepreneur does - it’s the nature of the beast. It can be a challenge not to let failure, or negativity from others, prevent you from going after what you believe in"
Facing the negativity from other people and not allowing it into your life, be it from family/friends or even a stranger on the street is a tough challenge, I'm facing it right now, I'm at the next stage of my life, I know what I want in life and it will involve risks and failure to get there.

I felt the last line.

I had a lot of fun moments but many service members stay in because it's safe (ironically),
consistent bimonthly paycheck,
set daily schedule,
3 meals a day,
won't have to worry about getting fired over shitty work,
automatic 401k contributions
and are told what to do and how.
I knew prior to leaving the dangers I would need to embrace transitioning back into civilian life.
Lack of purpose,
you set your schedule,
Returning to the same shit you've been doing prior to the military,
Getting into trouble with the law,
risk of losing your job,
inconsistent pay check,
lack of physical fitness,
no 3 meals a day,
Lack of recognition,
no one cares about your problems, no retirement,
no accountability,
no one looking over your shoulder telling what is right or wrong.
But the singular best thing I got out of leaving the military is.....
Choice.
The choice knowing I can set my schedule, how much I can make and etc. The choice knowing I don't have a contract hanging over my head.
Choice knowing my time is not the government's time.
You are now free to choose what the future holds
Interesting
BRAVO TO YOU!
I've done four years in military. I left with a plan, and never looked back. I've met folks that were afraid to leave, afraid to travel, afraid to LIVE.
Been out nearly thirty years...loving FREE CHOICE. NO REGRETS.
@@Omonike88 hell yeah!!!!

They criticize me but I must not choose the comfort of home from a better choice.

the thing i was most afraid of was not failure but not giving my all and regretting it all my life.

My biggest risk was being a dad at 23. Starting a business, dropping out of college, all of those were easy. Being a parent is still the most challenging and rewarding quest of my life :)

I wouldn't trade the memories we made for anything. Like just imagine that: you're in a totally foreign place where you don't even speak the language and something as great as that happens. The best part is that he made sure I was safe and had fun the entire time.

I was afraid but I said to myself 'if it went bad then yeah I'm not a topper obviously, but if it went well then that'd surprise the masses'.
