  • WEEKLY NATURAL HAIR WASH DAY| Reduce shedding, Rejuvenate your scalp and retain length! Leave all your questions below :) I hope this is helpful. I cut about 8 inches off my hair in total earlier this year and I've seen a huge difference since returning back to this routine.

    DC Mix: Deep Conditioner of choice JBCO Coconut- hibiscus powder, Extra virgin olive oil
    Simple Clay Cleanser Rhassaul clay, Equal parts water and aloe vera juice, lemongrass and peppermint essentail oil, olive oilve (I make enough for one wash each time)

    -Finger detangling isn't for everyone but I believe it's the safest way to detangle naturally kinky hair and would advise everyone to try it at least. It allows you to feel for knots and tangles unlike combs that rip the hair out. It reduces breakage at the most fragile parts of the strands if done correctly.
    Unfortunately, I can be time consuming if you're new to it. I've been doing it for years so I've become very versed in it and can complete it in little to no time at all.

    I've been following your channel since when you first started transitioning (when you had people close to you reacting negatively towards going natural) and now your hair has grown so much and you have all these people (like myself) wanting strong and thick beautifuly hair like yours. You have come a long way, not just with your hair but with your growth as a young woman. You are by far my favorite youtuber

      Hi Shade! I literally read your comment and it made me so emotional. By God's grace i've been able to share my journey with you all and like you said not just my hair but myself as a woman. I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to help other's in something that may seem so trivial to other's yet it makes the biggest difference to some. I've come a long way since recording videos on Kaila's laptop at uni lol. Thank you for being a part of my journey for this long. I've learnt soo much from every single of you guys. God bless you 😊

    • @Dea89savannah
      @Dea89savannah 8 років тому +27

      iknow right :-) just anonsense of ignorants. "west african has many ethnic groups, hairr type is diverse even in each ethnicity". i have curly(3b,c,4a), watch these beautiful +its queen , +aucurlsnaturrelle, janet monfret (her "yoruba curly hair video"), +ndeye aminata, +Discoveringnatural, +naomi owusu...

      I already follow alot of west African women with different hair texture, some people like being ignorant. but it's funny to me.

    • @241Genevieve
      @241Genevieve 8 років тому +19

      This is true but as someone who is west African it is also important to note that Lilia is a mixture of different ethnic group in west Africa, one of them known for having looser hair. The vast majority of us just have 4 types hair

    • @tianamsh
      @tianamsh 8 років тому +5

      241Genevieve
      what is she mixed with? I though she was hausa and fante (Akan). i still cant relate because mom's family have curly hair. and we are not known for having curl hair or anything like that

    • @241Genevieve
      @241Genevieve 8 років тому +24

      Yep the Hausa and Fulani women in Nigeria do tend to have different hair texture, longer and looser than the average Nigerian. This doesn't mean none have kinky hair, but they just tend to be more longer and looser in general. But I do get your point even in Nigeria people do have different hair, there's another youtuber that has the same texture as Lilia but not the same ethnic group.

    U are literally my hair crush😍😍😍 I have thick and dark black hair like u but my hair probably has a different hair texture. My hair texture changes when my hair grows so yeah... I had my natural hair in high but never looked after it coz I always put it in braids. But now I'm starting my journey again. I always tried to straighten my hair coz it was too big but u made me fall in love with my big hair 😍

      Odds are it's a combination of the length/heaviness of her hair and her curl pattern. Everyone is different. She has afro-textured hair but it has a very obvious curl pattern and has a lot of hang (but again, is also quite long).

    Very thorough! I loved it, great video and great length retention as well. I would like to only finger detangle but I think my hair is too short for that now, once it gets longer I think I will give up the tools :) TFS love!

    • @platinumbranch2056
      @platinumbranch2056 8 років тому +5

      If you start now while it's shorter, it will be easier because you'll be used to it as it grows out. I started after a big chop two years ago and now it's so simple, like second nature. I have actually never used a comb and my hair is now 12 inches.

    Hello again Laila, I'm playing catch up on ALL that I've missed! My hair team has been busy I see, I've missed you all. Great tutorial, I love the new editing and visual marker that I'm seeing, very clean presentation lol! I haven't tried any tea rinses or clays yet but I'm hearing all good things so I'll probably have to give it a try soon. I love the Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In conditioner as well and they have it with Argan Oil now and it's great, I feel like it can be used as a styling product the way it coats and moisturizes my strands. I started finger detangling back in May of 2013 and I love it but a couple of months ago I noticed too many tangles and my hair just didn't look or feel right, so I decided to take my Denman out of hibernation and put her to good use and I have to say the Denman brush paired with trimming really helped thoroughly detangle my hair. I won't be using the brush on a regular basis because I do prefer finger detangling as my only way of detangling. Oooh your hair it's just a jaw dropper Laila, beautiful hair and I love the new look of your shea butter packaging, nicely done my friend. I gotta get me some mo' lol!

    I've finally found a hair twin after all these years, lol. I'm like goldilocks always bouncing back and forth - this one is too fine, that one is too course, the other one is too thin or too dry, but yours is JUST RIGHT. Lol. Love your videos. Subscrided!
