Fell in love at the first time trying and bought right away. Tried to play it indoor and it was amazing! The traction, stability and cushion is fantastic!
I wore them for a quick minute and they were pretty solid. The collar was kinda iffy on my pair though, so that's a thing. I'm just waiting for the day that adidas "remasters" the Crazy 1 (the Kobe) with Boost and make it playing on-court. That's worth $200 imo.
Having these for 3 weeks. Playing and practicing in them every second day (competitive level). Would rate the indoor court a 7/10 in terms of dust. Shoes perform like BEASTS. Herringbone setup is excellent providing awesome traction, never wiped, maybe once out of a habit. They break in almost immediately, comfort, stability and lockdown is ELITE (lacing feels amazing). Durability is excellent. Have not yet experienced any rubber damage/wear/tear. These are the best INDOOR bball shoes to date. Really don't understand in what indoor courts you guys play. Full respect here for your work but you and those "brothers" shoe testers sound like you play in desert courts or you are kinda dust/wipe addicted.

Are they True to size?
bsswsk how did your durability hold up? I tend to really wear shoes with a workout a day and worst case scenario is hanging over the edge.

Awesome review! Def not touching those to play in. Same thing happened to me with the 1st crazy explosives, only difference is I blew the outsole the first night I played in them. 😅

So I’ve had Crazy B.Y.W 3 for 2 years now and I use them for lifestyle. Crazy B.Y.W 3 has the same midsole and outsole with this Crazy B.Y.W X but has different upper which I have to say, the combination of encased boost at the front while the boost at the back are not encased as well as that bridge at the middle make the shoe comfortable for long time use. However, like you said in this video, the traction pattern for the boost at the back of my left shoe gets ripped even though I never use it for performance.

Great review. I was wondering if you'd weigh in on the heel-toe transition situation. Obviously it will be worse on a decoupled midsole, but I think so many overrate the importance of transition. You generally only experience transition when stopping hard and in that case it doesn't really hurt performance since the majority of your weight should be on the forefoot anyway. Just my .2
It’s not even as I mentioned in the cushion section. The heel makes you feel as if you’re propelling. It’s not as smooth as a nice roll into your stride.
Nightwing2303 ah I must have missed it. But what do you think about "transition" as a performance category in general?
The majority don’t know or care much about transition. It’s just be a waste of time to go over it each video. I’ll bring it up if it’s really good or really bad though.

Good review, I saw a pair for $100. I need new basketball sneakers and always wanted a pair. But because of the price and out of stock I was never be able to cop. Should i at this price point?
I seen em for 100 bucks in a blue/black/white colorway. May as well get them while their on sale. I know I did.
I tried on the Boost You Wear Lvl 1 and the decoupled outsole and the tongue really bothered me

I went TTS, there was too much dead space in the toe area so bought a second pair. 1/2 down is what I recommend for normal feet.
Thxs for the review bro this is what I needed to know. On goat the byw ice mints go for .5 size up or down from my foot size, I couldn't figure out if I need a 9.5 or a 10.5.

i have these in all black and i found them uncomfortable in the achilles area. They literally rubbed the skin off my upper heal. Did anybody else have this issue? I cant even wear them because of this problem

I went true to size any they are suffocating my feet
I bought this shoe(Pharrell Williams version with empathy and gratitude label) because this feels the same (at least to me) with Kobe 11 Lower Marion Aces. Which combines both the court feel, cushion and traction. In other words, this shoe is a monster performer.
From jumping, exploding, cutting this shoe does everything very well. I play in a court where some of the players are sliding but not me when I'm wearing this shoes.
This shoe is indoor court only, be careful not to use this shoe when walking before and after the game to prolong the traction of this shoe.

I need these to drop asap.. i dont have that perfect basketball shoe in my rotation and its killing me.. these look like they will be perfect for me.
What is a perfect shoe to you? He said the durability on the traction is beyond terrible. Why waste $200 on a sneaker that will stop working right in 2-3 months (or less) when there are plenty of good performance sneakers on the market with extraordinary traction that are very durable.
Angelo Manzi the durability of the traction seems to only be weak in the heel which doesnt bother me.. other than that they seem perfect. Sleak profile, knit upper, nice boost in the heel, good court feel, nd good traction. I cant name a better shoe thats out rn. Ive tried quite a few. And i will get these on discount for around 130 if they retailers.
2017 crazy explosive and harden vol. 1 are way better shoes than this imo. The fraying in the heel is a big deal because overtime you may start to slide when you're moving laterally on defense, or exploding off a hesitation. Harden vol 2 picks up dust like a vacuum so that's a no go. Heck i'd even put the d rose 8 or kyrie 4s above this shoe. I'm not even trolling... just need to be careful on which colorway you pick for the kyrie, as some colorways have horrible traction. All the adidas hype has made people think they should settle for sub par quality. If you're getting charged $200... it better be a flawless 10/10 all the way through.

the 2017 crazy explosive have a flyknit upper, have you checked them out yet? They don't have 10/10 traction, i'd say 8/10 on average courts and they have a nice plush feel to them, as well as good lock down! Seems like the better option over the crazy BYW, and it's cheaper bro. $150 dollar shoe, maybe 170-190 if you have to buy it from a re-seller, but it'll give you everything you need.
After i saw what the traction looks like after a while - In the words of Jalen Rose - NOT GONNA BE ABLE TO DO IT !

LeBron 15's. Best cushion in the history of basketball shoes. The lock down is amazing, great fit. The best part is they're not heavy at all.

Can be used both. Uses utility outsole and midsole, court ready. The upper is different and attractive, which can be good for casual wear also.
How can you mess up herringbone?!? Come on Adidas! And what's with the durability issues on these and the crazy explosive? It doesn't make people want to buy them more, it actually steers people away! Come on Adidas, this is ridiculous 🙄
