This week is open great league and little jungle cup. Little Jungle Cup is a 500cp league and jungle cup has 8 typings making it a pretty wide meta.

Thanks for the showcase, Dan! Appreciate the analysis and feedback. Certainly could have played a lot of those matchups better or differently. I learn the most from my losses, so the thought was definitely to show others that hey… even in poor matchups where the odds are against you, sometimes a decision or two here, a catch there, and good energy management can flip a game on its head! If you can’t do it real-time, go back and watch to see how maybe you could have changed one’s gameplay for the next go around!
Good luck to you and everyone else out there on climbing the ranks the rest of the way!
At 6:35, the opponent is at 8 astonishes but gets 1-turn bring-in and dies to incinerate even though they should have gotten off one astonish and the night shade.
woahhh. This was actually my Legend team too 🤣
Last week during the go battle weekend I was able to get up to 3029 running this team! At that point I was rank 429 in the world. I didn't use that team during color cup though. Single move shadow kingdra got me to expert 😌
Talonflame/Morpeko core is no joke! My thought process while playing this team was "Oh this team doesn't have any bulk? Don't care! Steamroll everything with super hard hitting charge moves!"
Haha I figured I wasn’t the only one out there having success with this team. Congrats! Definitely a lot of fun to play!
I could be the one he talks about at the start, that saw 6 talonflame in a row lmao
Talonflame content? I will be seated for this one.
My climbing team was Gastro/Goodra/Talon and I peaked at around 3100 with it before epically tanking for GB week. Heavy recommend Talonflame with shield advantage in back
I saw this team a few times on my legend run. I was using dunsparce, s-marowak, and s-hippo
How does that Hippo run compared to the other grounds? You're running triple ground so if anyone knows it's you.
@ The biggest advantage is the pacing. You reach a weather ball after 9 turns, so you can reliably beat Talonflame late-game even if it has a small head start. It also does really solid damage to jumpluff and beats shadow Feraligatr in the 2s. You heavily threaten Dewgong despite taking super effective damage from ice shard. It’s also good for finishing off low-HP opponents before they can get off another move (Pokémon like Gastrodon, annihilape, dragonite, etc. when they are energy dry. You can easily reach a WB to take them out.) Hippo also tanks aqua tail from s-drapion and trailblaze from Ariados if it needs to, which I had happen a lot. Extremely underrated sleeper pick.
Sorry for asking maybe a silly question, but where can you get a Morpeko? I only started playing GBL this season, and I see a lot of Morpekos. They dont form a problem for my team, but they look so fun to play with, and I can't find a way to get one :(
It's not currently available, only during its debut event.
@I_am_Siq That's a shame, thank you for answering!
@@IanAce.yeah… I don’t think it’s available anymore… However, it will probably return at some point 🔥
If you ask around I'm sure someone who fly can trade you one.
What do you do about rollout users? I ran this team except it was Talon lead (to help against the insane amount of Wigglytuff that are around), and this team instantly loses to dunsparce and other rollout users. This team has zero defense against a dunsparce. Feraligatr and Talonflame both lose very very decisively and easily to dunsparce. Morpeko can do something about a dunsparce, but god forbid they swap in a mud boy you’re finished.
I saw people running Ferrothorn or serperior instead of feraligatr with this core and I think that makes more sense, to be honest. They have better bulk and you have a response to rollout users (with the exception of IB miltank, I guess).
GL is so boring. I don't know how people can keep play Drap Azu mirror 👎🏽
It’s the same Pokémon over and over.. people are too sweaty to try and have fun.
After 14 seasons, hitting legend just doesn't have the same feel. I use to play every damn battle. Now, I barely play 2 sets a day. It's so sweaty and basically yes just playing the same mundane matchups over and over until you slowly climb up. I enjoy the limited metas where you can climb 400 points in 2 or 3 days w the right team. It's become very rps based on your team comp or you play balanced and 3-2 and again, slow climb. Fuckimg dreadfully boring
Because they re dumb
@@JB-sl5fuit s the sum of Niantics move update and Pokemon release decisions… the beginning of the downfall was the nidoqueen nerf , from there on every nice to play core got screwed next season with nerfs / buffs of wing attack, surf, mudshot;
Don't forget Diggersbore, Borowak and Yawnsparce. The ironic thing is the opposite of their slowness makes for the worst Pokémon of them all, Borpeko. Yet Ultra League is the one without enough Pokémon?
Oh my god. I lost 10 in a row this morning with this team. Ridiculously hard counters every time.
You can double up a fly and brave bird bur not 2 brave birds. I do it all the time if talonflame closes out the match
yeah, in go there are only the 3 factors stats, typing and move-set. that's the issue.
in normal pokemon there are also items, abilities, natures... even gender can have some relevance.
not to say that everyone would suddenly start getting creative, but more variables generally tend do create more diversity.
Also, depending on format, you have to worry about 6 Pokemon and not 3.
This core is glass haha😂
have you ever seen the damage of electric aura wheel into unovan stunfisk... 13 percent lol
Incinerate is legacy move btw
So g stunfisk isn’t banned any one know what happen
Niantic as usual
This guy suxs 4 losses in a row
Your dumb lol he can choose what he wants to send, he chose those to show and he's a legend rank so he could've easily shown wins,
He's literally legend rank tho
