- We have heard your questions and requests for the barrel and comp combos to be made available to existing Shadow Systems pistol owners as a modification option. Transparency is super important to us here at Shadow Systems, so we sat down with CEO Trevor Roe at SHOT Show so he could give you the full answer to that question!

No excuses, just a down to earth honest explanation. I've had dealings with Shadow Systems for a while on the LE side, and they have always been true to their word on things. Considering the growth they are experiencing as a company, they have been handling it very well, better than most. Redesign to make the slide and comp look right together is music to my ears. Seriously, god willing most of us won’t ever have to use our guns in a defensive situation - we can be patient and wait for you guys to produce the aftermarket barrel and comp packages and it’s super impressive that you are going to do it the right way so it doesn’t look funky!! I will definitely be buying a barrel and comp for my cr920 elite - no matter how long it takes. Thank you!

Hey man I get it, I'm one of many in line for when this comes out for my MR920. I've got an after-market comp on mine already but I'd drop in in a heartbeat for your tool-less, 1/4" one.
Appreciate the clarity. Love your guns. Instead of selling just the barrel and comp you should sell the whole slide with it so you dont have to redesign the comp to fit the regular slide and sell it to people that own a shadow systems gun that can verify the serial number on the gun, if you dont want random people buying just the elite P slides. Also, im begging you guys to please create a full size grip extension for the CR mags, similar to your +3, but without increasing capacity for us people that live in restricted capacity states.

In Delaware we can’t have a threaded barrel without a concealed carry license so I love this new design y’all have invented. I bought a regular cr920 and I’m dying to get that comp/barrel combo when y’all eventually do release it. Love the gun, no malfunctions at all after a couple hundred rounds using 124gr and 147gr. It’s actually my first gun too.
You guys get threaded barrels? No such luck in NY.

@shadowsystemscorp Trevor! Thank you! I would so much rather hand you over my monies than the other guys, my first firearm is a MR920 FS so of course I want to keep everything SS. But now the question is; when? How long till it hits the market?
I would buy a packaged new mr920 that includes the comp and the threaded bbl to swap back and forth and any adjustment to recoil assembly required to run both.

Out of curiosity, knowing how great radian is as a company and how willing they've been to partner with companies in the past, why make your own instead of partnering with them to bring it as a stock product?
I like mine built in, it's much cleaner looking and the SIG Spectra Comp or 320 Legion Comp is the ticket.

Can I add the unthreaded barrel to the mr920 from the mr920L I can’t have a threaded barrel in Massachusetts, but I like the look of the longer barrel.

Honest and sincere. I bought my first SS for myself for Christmas, a MR920. Absolutely love it. If I by the barrel/comp, wont I need a longer frame? Or, a CR slide?
You can't change the frames on the guns, that's the registered part with the serial number. The comp will stick out past the frame but that won't affect anything. The MR920p has the shorter frame and the comp sticks out past it.
When you do get the contour and design, will the owners of those guns get first dibs before you sell out down the road?

OK, I'll buy that reasoning. As a customer that bought the threaded comp last year, it's a bit of an eye roll one year later, but the market for comps and the technology to make them smaller changed hugely in 12 months. The new smaller, lug mounted comp is the future. And will your suppressors will work on the same lug too?
No, he explained it in another video but the lugged portion of the barrel is too short to support the weight of a suppressor. They wanted to design it in a way that it could do both but in order to keep the comped guns at the same size for holster purposes they couldn't make it work.
My DR wont run with the Shadow Systems thread on comp even with the 15 lb spring. I emailed support they said send the entire gun in 😂. How about make a 13 lb and 11 lb spring for tuning.
The reason they want to see the whole gun in this instance is that it should be running with the springs you have, so they want to be able to see if there is a larger issue preventing it from cycling with the comp installed. If you’re having issues, please let my team help you.
It’s innovation fellas. Something new always comes along. Thats just life. Don’t always rely on a manufacturer to make you happy. At the end of the day they are in it to make money. Period.
Sometimes you have to make sacrifices. Sell your shadow systems if you want the newer comped model. Buy once cry once. And in this case buy twice cry twice. But ultimately, if you really want something, u will stfu and just find a way to get it.
Will you guys allow customers to send a foundation slide and upgrade it into an elite model?

Is it better than the other comp you sell.
They are different comps. This smaller comp works better with all types of ammo and the larger comps usually need more gassey ammo to function properly.

I bought the Shadow Comp 6 months ago.....would've been cool if they let their existing customers this was coming out soon.
My suggestion would be the Radian Ramjet system.
Ramjet works great on my MR920.

The only thing different between the two is the slide cut and the red trigger bar safety.

I know I'm in the minority here when I say this. I wish shadow systems new compensated pistol line didnt have the slide cuts at all. The cuts look cool I guess however I say skip them all together and bring the price down. If they simplify the slide Milling make it focus on the barrel and the comp and maybe that might bring price down
Do you guys ever plan on selling small accessories?
I’d love some copper matching pins/trigger/extended slide release to match my cr920 barrel, magazine extensions/weights, ect.
I just feel like one of the best features of the glock platform is the customization but that seems to be such a lost feature on the SS platforms.

Pony up and buy the mrp. I own a cr and a crp. Pony up. If you want it NOW buy an mrp or just buy the thread on comp. I’ve done that. Though disassembly is a pain but really why do you need to remove the thread on comp anyway?
I do like how small and flush the mrp comp is. I don’t however like how the mrp has a full length dr dust cover.

A comp is a compensator. It’s a device that attaches to your muzzle to improve shot-to-shot times and lessen felt recoil.
