Before shooting the last moments of the movie, Donald Pleasance told John Carpenter that the final scene could be done two ways for the facial expression of Dr. Loomis seeing that Michael was gone from the lawn after being shot and falling: "My god, he's not there but he should be", or "I knew he would be gone". Carpenter agreed that the latter choice was the best.
This one hits harder than the rest. Especially the end credits and the opening bc of the high hat instead of the bass drum. It sounds more vintage in a way and more original for some reason
I love the background ticking and noise and the lack of the high-pitched "strings" instrumentation (played at the end) so much better on this original mono version than the "remastered" version.
That look of fear of Loomis at the end when he sees Michael is gone. He knows thats no human. He knows it's something far more evil then a human
It’s no ordinary evil…it’s an indestructible evil

The most chilling song. back in 1978... Wow. I had such a impact on people back then. I absolutely love this movie.

FRR the remastered has no high hat and sounds so unoriginal
This one sounds vintage
*Mike Stoklasa Voice* “Michael’s never *really* gone.”
"I understood that reference."
Hearing it makes you a kid again so you can feel the creepy scare and the crazy fun of the original movie

@@nacho1222"As a matter of fact" is the expression you want. No one says "in the matter of fact".
The first 6 Halloween soundtracks are great. But it's this first one that will ALWAYS be the best.
