Jordan is sitting alone at the table for two, singing from the perspective of her ex, the Bad Valentine, who broke her heart in Now I’m the Fool. He even says to her you’re so nice you even smile when you’re hurt, which fits her to a tee. He says I thought I told you I would mess up girl I warned you right from the start. This Bad Valentine is the one who treated her so badly in Now I’m the Fool, but she’s singing from the perspective of her ex. Brilliant songwriting!

I really like this original song, Angelina's performance is fantastically raw and aggressive with her unique voice, raspy and deep, while she performs fantastic and beautiful tonal scales, which completely captivates you. With her I continue, even after many years of listening, to have goosebumps every time, in particular with every new wonderful vocal experiment that she creates. Angelina's musical eclecticism transcends the ordinary, she truly has a musical knowledge and analytical ability that is beyond my understanding. No one captures your soul and makes it vibrate like this gorgeous girl does! 💛🧡❤

It’s a small intimate venue where many artists have performed before they were known like Adele, John Mayer and Billie Eilish.
I thought the instrumentation was just beautiful...love the addition of the strings. This was a jazzy song and production that was meant for Angelina. Her voice, as usual, just amazing, finally letting 'er rip with that belt towards the end, just beautiful! Bodes well for the year, for her fans, for anyone who loves good music. My thoughts on this.
The more I look at this team the more excited I get. I like many had no idea who Toby Gad is. I learned about him after her first performance with him. Another Powerhouse Writer Producer who has worked with only the best of the Industry past and present. Diane Warren another legend visited with Angelina but little came of it. This is very different than that. Angelina and Toby have declared they are working on original material together that they hinted would be available this fall. We are all of course hoping is the long-awaited Album. Some predictions in the past have failed to materialize as predicted. Let's hope this is not the same.
And I've been thinking about the timing which would be brilliant. Many have mentioned a release in September would be late to qualify for this year’s Grammys.
What if that is the plan. We already have two Grammy worthy releases with 'If I Were a Boy' and 'Bad Valentine out right now which will be eligible this year. Produced and performed by two powerhouse singer/songwriters/producers in Angelina and Toby. All of the songs on the album would be eligible for the following year's Grammys. At least in this scenario. If one or both songs win a Grammy think about the runway that would have for a Full year and from the very same powerhouse duo. Having already won they will both be well known by then having already won the Grammy(s). All of those new songs from the new album will be eligible for those Grammys. They will be knocking on the door of the industry. Banging actually! I don't think she can be ignored anymore! Great reaction to a Beautiful song.
One further thought. Hopefully the album is going to be more of the same or similar production. That being the case this is going to be the signature sound, style and voice that will be used to introduce Angelina to the World. This will be her sound, her style. Practically no one has interpreted these lyrics correctly. I finally heard this played with clear audio and she’s clearly singing “I warned you right from the start I thought I told you I would mess up, girl”, meaning Jordan is the one sitting alone at the table for two, and her ex is the bad valentine, from who’s viewpoint she’s singing the song. You’re so nice you even smile when you’re hurt, a line that fits Angelina to a tee. Watch the video again with the idea that Jordan is singing this from her exes point of view, the real bad valentine, and you’ll see what I mean. Everyone assumes Angelina is the bad valentine, but she’s the one at the table being stood up. It’s the only way the lyrics make any sense unless the lyrics are between two women, which is highly doubtful!
