The FUNNIEST Sopranos Theory (feat. angry Steve Schirripa)

- The Sopranos is one of the best series ever made. The gangster show has many Sopranos Theories, where fans like to discuss different things on the show that were left open to interpretation, like what happened to the Russian? Did Ralph really kill the horse? Was Phil Leotardo gay?
Some Sopranos Theories are funny, some serious and thought provoking, and some are wild. Let's discuss one of the weirded Sopranos Theories that comes from the Talkin Sopranos podcast, regarding Bobby Bacala and Uncle Junior.
Steve: Is it true, Michael? Did you write those "A.S." letters yourself, to make fun of me?
Michael: I did-ent.
I DIDDDENNNTTTTT
I dont know. Fucking Slander, ask me!
This made me spit out my water 😂
I wonder if quasimodo predicted this ? 🤔
@andrewcampbell3314 WHO did WHAT?
Wait you're telling me that Bobby was catchin not pitchin?
Rumour!
I think schirripa has a warped view of the sopranos fanbase,he seems to think the fans want to hear the gibberish he talks about
Nobody cared when Bobby died playing with trains.
That and his simplistic view of one of the most structurally complex shows in TV history.
@@paulie-Gualtieri. that scene actually banged, and it wasn't about Schrippa, Bobby is the creation of Chase and the writers, if Schrippa had a say in it it would been a shit character
he is just dumb
Jersey is a big state, if steve moves here he might tip it ova!
Bobby “Surrogate mother” Bacala
Schirripa never had the makings of a varsity podcast host.
Bobby "White Castle" Bacala
Bobby “Burger Boy” Bacala
Bobby "Quasimodo" Bacala.
Bobby "Karen's Last Ziti" Bacala
I can SMELL em!
Bobby "Bobandy" Bacala
I wonder if this is Imperioli taking shots at Schrripa via a pseudonym. And then he points the finger at his own faults, either to cover his tracks or vent self-hatred. Or hatred of the podcast, trying to create an escape hatch from the Schrripa Universe.
Now THAT'S a Sopranos Theory!
it definitely was, you can tell off the camera Imperioli treats him like an idiot from how sensitive he got in the back and forth with Michael at some points, specially since Imperioli does Writing too as far as I remember
Probably was him. That was the feeling at time🤣🤣🤣
I ALWAYS thought it was Imperioli writing those letters! They were great.
I just instantly considered that it might be him, having not watched the podcast.
Michael Imperioli is the high school english teacher to Steve Schirripa's high school student
....and you need both to create something new.
Their dynamic was great.
Steve was the PE teacher 3 years away from retirement and 2 years away from losing a foot to diabetes.
Steve Schirripa has no respect for this thing. He's never been a Sopranos fan, not really.
whoever wrote that question on Talking Sopranos deserves a medal, that shit was gold lmao
Bobby still angry with Tony for the comment about Janice blowing guys in her younger days 🤣

Schrippa and Imperioli had entirely too much schtick. The Sopranos podcast had great moments when Imperioli interviewed other actors about their shared craft and career experiences. He shouldve done it alone and kept it just about acting. The summaries of episodes with half assed analysis was utterly skippable.
I like that Imperioli laughs like Christopher in real life.
"if you could do better then have your own podcast you mfer" bro you don't have your own podcast, the only reason people watched it was mostly because its about Sopranos, you bring Sopranos guest and you have Imperioli there, lmao, that podcast would still be alive if it was only Imperioli
AS? Like...Anthony Soprano?
Oh man we def need more on this podcast. The edits are hilarious
I got the feeling this is someone from the sopranos crew who dosn't like Steve at all and was just trying to push his buttons.
Not sure if Michael is this creative, but it could have been an attempt to create some hype around the show.
Syracuse down again
Schirripa really disagrees with melfi when she said “I thing of it more as giving birth” “no it’s like taking a shit”🤣
Amare stoudemire...lol
Never have I heard his name pronounce that way lol
A.S. was a monster! What a wordsmith!
Went to same barber as Bobby B he wasn’t as huge as I thought he’d be and not as unlikable as he is in every podcast appearance he takes
“Hey Michael is this you sending all this in?”
I dunno, timeline got all fcked up 🤷♂️
Steve isn't smart enough to understand that theory. He wasn't an actor, he doesn't care about it
Maybe the podcast shows why you should never meet your antiiheroes
it's not that he doesn't understand the depth of writing or want to analyze the show, it's that he just even has contempt for people that wanna have fun with it while being on a podcast about the said show, genuinely lowkey unhinged behavior from this calzone
another thing steve did that was just absurd looking back was how almost every week he dissed the podcast said he couldnt wait for it to be over. dude. customer service 101
9:28 “now that’s an image!”😂😂😂
Only thing i agree with Steve is this. If you hated someone when they were alive dont love them when they die.
Except that he claimed he didn’t want to identify somebody and “speak ill of the dead”. Granted, that was when the story was about one of his fellow jews
People don’t really pretend to like people when they die they just aren’t asses nor want to make an ass of themselves disrespecting the dead lmfao proper immaturity that. His comments where just because he hates someone that died and clearly doesn’t like that they where likely more beloved than he himself.
Steve fucked up that podcast with his bloated stories and horseshit takes on everything. He was rude, unfunny, and took any joy I had from watching it.
To be honest, the Sopranos Shitposting written mock-pod was funnier than anything Steve ever shared.
At least Michael was trying to provide perspective, great stories, and intelligent thoughts.
This AS guy's theories are genius I'll give him that
I agree. The way he broke down Bobby and Junior was extremely impressive! Like a real life Dr. Melfi.
Great video. Hopefully Joey G aka Sopranos Vito gets some redemption after his long endured slander from the bitter blowhard Schrippa.
The AS letter takedown of talking sopranos is perfect. Credit Imperioli for reading it.
Brooklyn bravado and incredibly thin skinned. Classic
Bobby "Half-a-Tray" Bacala
That last letter is one of the funniest things ive ever heard
I have to disagree about the length of the podcasts being too long.
They were a sanity saver for me during lockdowns.
The both work well together because they are so different.
Everybody Wants To Get Rich, But You Don't Scrimp On Safety.
It's all part of Nissan's Triple Safety Philosophy...
Man, why would you actively downplay the depth of a television masterpiece that you yourself were a part of. Wanting to promote yourself as an entity separate from the show to etch a new place in show business I understand, but to shoot down discussion about theories that can only add to your legacy is just crazy to me
The podcast should've had Edie Falco instead of Steve.
I love Schrippa! I find him hilarious. "All I need in this life is a drink and a fucking sandwich". Didn't realise that I was the only one
“He swings too far to the other direction.”
What does this even mean?
He was at the precipice of na enormous crossroads
I took it that Steve is playing a character on the pod. The same with Michael.
A.S. makes some valid points. He actually took some of his own advice and held back on his most salient points.
I hope Shirippa was not too hurt by the letters. Then one day, in a moment of clarity, he can "get it".
CineRanter is AS, don't believe him
It seems as though Imperioli may have written these letters, or at least he knew who was writing them. He certainly took delight in reading them out as well as being quick(or well prepared) to suggest multiple names to fit the initials.
Perhaps it may be worth looking at Michael's other written work, to compare writing styles and see if their are any patterns or phrases which match the letters by A.S.
I used to love watching the TS podcast when they let us comment live during the premiers each week..once they took the comments away from the fans it went downhill..and yes, as much as we love the show and the cast, Steve made it easy to not like him with his antics and bad attitude..
that bobby and paulie theory is amazing
Here you go again
I remember comedian Bobby Kelly saying that Steve hosted a show and was the biggest douche he ever met. And Bobby knows a lot of them.
Quasimodo predicted all this
Never meet you “hero’s”.
I remember when they started the podcast how the talk was all about "well it's the lockdown and we wanna give back to the fans of the show" and then more qnd more ads start getting introduced. At the end, it was like peace out thanks for the cheese.
LMFAO! Steve is hilarious! Just an angry Jew from the old neighborhood I love it!
He really said " now THATS an image!"
Cineranter and his buddy Steve 😎
To the Victor the spoils
There’s no more theorizing on who killed the horse. Chase confirmed Ralph killed Pie.
AS was always way easier on Imperioli, which kinda shows who actually wrote those letters. Also ofc to make the podcast more entertaining.
Cha I just noticed all these years later , Bobbies kill at the laundry Matt . Was just Chris’s in a wig with a scribbled on beard 😂.
Schrippa hands down one of the worst actors on the show, probably the worst if you consider the primary actor, and I mean this is the show that had Gandolfini, Joey Pants, breadstick with bowtie and other high level actors, even the grade B actors almost all gave an S Tier or A tier performance, including the rockstar dude that wasn't even an actor
Who's the rockstar dude? That wasn't really Joe Perry that Meadow was dating.
@@JesusH.Tap-Dancingchrist7328Sil's actor is Bruce Springsteen's guitarist
@@bernardi5919 Oh yeeah. Forgot Vanzant wasn't an actor
A.S. died on the vine.
I tackled that podcast when the gyms re-opened during the pandemic and I’d listen while I was running. It got the point that whenever Schirripa would hit one of his tangents I would say “hey Siri skip the podcast 1 minute.” Then it became 2 minutes. Then it became 5 minutes…. I swear it cut the podcast lengths in half sometimes and I never missed any of the actual content by skipping his crap.
And if they had hit that conversation about restaurants they like one more frickin’ time…..
I had no problems with the CGI. The Irishman is an epic, spanning the history of the United States for the last sixty years and more. It immortalizes Jimmy Hoffa. The country ages with the characters.
I always wondered why Junior took on Bobby. Then after watching the MSON I guess it was Bobby Sr. that killed Christopher's father so Junior took on his son as a favor to him because there's no way he got made the regular way.
Criticism is great and all, but after 4 years, you’d think the viewers/fans would realize that the podcast is just 2 old guidos taking the piss out of a show that they were on years ago.
I think they’re the perfect representation of soprano fans, people who enjoy the writing and people who enjoy it because they’re Italian lol
@@TheWhackyIraqi True, I can see that.
Give me one thousand dollar.
"stick a fork in em, they're done"
It’s a damn shame. I wanted to start watching this pod but it seems it’s not worth it
Somebody should try to get Bobby and Vito on the phone together. Like a Chinese confusion type call. Maybe it wouldn’t go anywhere but if it did it could be great haha
So this is it
After all this time it's finally here
@@HOTD108_
Yeah, it's sad when they go young like that
@@paulie-Gualtieri. WHEN THEY GO?
You got to remember Steve schirripa is an opener he's not a stand-up comedian although he calls himself that he opens for other comedians cuz he's probably not smart enough to tell jokes
Wth was going on in the thumbnail?
Art
Dont get how he can be fascinated by the mayonnaise thing but yet dismissive of more serious introspection theories and psychological analysis.
And yeah Michael went on too much about every single actors history. Also the spending far too much time talking about food and restaurants etc that are local to New York when the majority of viewers are nowhere near it. And like myself, not even in the USA
Talking Sopranos, I liked it
Imperioli was insufferable. Steve was a jackass but Michael’s beliefs that artists are cut from an immensely deeper cloth than others is fucking sad.
Looks like the brain transplant didn’t take in the end.
I'd say he fluctuated in morals and sensitivity. That is part of TONY'S story.
When podcast first came out a was buzzing for it .. by 4-5 episodes in was done .. many actors are extremely boring in real life also
The pod was truly unwatchable. I
A.S. IS ALLAN SEPPINWELL look him up
Schirrapa is a stunod. NOTHING between his ears
Shirripa never had the makings of a varsity Podcaster
Nostradamus ?
10:40 when? i just watched it
Phill was not gay but he might have had some fun in prison.
Pitching not catching !
It died on the vine
AS AKA CR 100% 🤣
Bobby "No Goomahs" Baccalieri
Idk y imperioli even did the podcast with him
AS is right on both in every way. As well as a wasted opportunity to document new angles, nooks snd crannies, and special guests perspectives. Of an historically important show. Even the pod cast of Rob and Jaimie was better than theirs.
I don't necessarily think it's funny, but it is a fair read regardless of intent. To me at least.
I do believe in death of the author, but thats most definitely not to say I find the author's intentions irrelevant or that I don't find it mad interesting to look into some of the author's unintentional injections into a story. Things that go deeper into the subconscious of a storyteller than what's on the paper that can manifest in a number of ways and is almost never concrete. Most, if not all, artists imbue their works with ideas that were never necessarily intended. Pulling them out is one of the most enjoyable parts of appreciating art.
People like Steve obviously disagree, for whatever reason. Which is fine. What anmoys me is when they act like people are weirdos for digging a little deeper.
While Michael may be a little pretentious and hold contradictory beliefs or disgusting ones like karma, I still believe he really does love the arts. Not sure Steve does beyond "that's fun", "thats pretty", thats sad" type analysis lol
It’s a.i.
I enjoyed listening to several episodes on youtube for background noise while doing housework because I'm a hardcore fan of the sopranos. but most of the time i'm thinking both of them are either goofing on the audience or they're both a couple of dunderheads, steve, obviously being the more obnoxious of the two. whatever the case, it wasn't very good, but it still gave me another way to enjoy the sopranos long after the series ended
Shirippa’s character on Blue Bloods is really whiny and annoying..
Can’t have him in the club house no more
I like that show I did let you know. I didn’t look happy there they didn’t but whatever.
I'm surprised at Steve bothering to do the podcast but not putting in the effort to do a good job.
Steve schirripa is good actor, though not best podcast host
For a guy that big, he has got some serious thin skin.
Are you AS
