Whimsical is the word of the day.... love the whimsical flowers and colors.... always a treat to watch you work, with all the wonderful details, never remember seeing the Caran D'Ache Neo colors before but was intrigued by them.... thanks again so much you bring brightness to the days and always inspire us to push forward and experiment.... thank you and Merry Christmas!!
Thank you Dorothy, glad you liked it. I don't use Neo Color 2s that often, but they are a wonderful medium to work with. They are similar to Gelatos, but way more pigmented.
Are they available in the US ? Do you know, I have tried the Gelatos and really love them... thanks again

@@dorothyzorn4828 Yes, they are available world wide. They are a fine art material though, so can be quite pricey unfortunately.

I was going say welcome back, but apparently UA-cam just hasn't been showing me any of your videos for months! I have so many to (happily!) catch up on. Great art as always, there is something about the colours you use that always makes me smile 😊
Thanks. You Tube changed some time ago, and now subscribing to a channel doesn't mean every video will appear in your subscription feed. You have to click on the bell notification button below a video to activate notifications if you want to know about every upload on a channel. Kind of annoying, but that seems to be the way most social media platforms have gone for whatever reason.
@@artfulevidence I've seen people saying that for a while, but I didn't realise just how much of an issue it really was for creators until now! I'll just have to suck it up and turn them on, I don't want to miss that many of your videos again.

Thanks very much Sue. I hadn't used my Neocolors in a while, but I always enjoy them when I get them out as they are so intense and vibrant. I know a lot of people like the Gelatos as a similar product, I really didn't like those at all compared to quality of Neo Colors. The JOFY stamps are also some of my favourites due to their whimsical, fun style - I wish I had more of those, but don't we always wish we had more, lol. PS: I hope you received my email, thanking you for your much appreciated act of kindness last week (or was it this week, I don't remember lol). Have a great day too :-)

Hallo Rachel. You must have answered this question a few times. Why do you stamp the focal image with versafine and not archival? I love your nail art... Hehehe
Archival ink is needed over a non-porous surface - the wax in the pastels created this on this piece. (Even after it is dissolved with water, it is questionable that you have dissolved it all, and made the substrate suitable for an alternative ink).
Versafine is a much blacker, more crisp ink, so whereever I can use it (porous surfaces), that is always my preference. Unfortunately, Versafine does not dry on non-porous surfaces like over wax pastels, acrylic paint, or over polymer based mediums etc, so Archival is the best ink to use in these situations. Hope that helps :-)
