Helen Jacard and Gerry Condon on VFP Action Updates

The Jan. 18 monthly meeting of the New York City chapter of Veterans For Peace featured national board member Gerry Condon and Golden Rule peace boat co-coordinator Helen Jacard. Helen gave a roundup of where the Golden Rule has been in the last year, bringing its environmental and antinuclear weapons message to thousands of people up and down the West Coast. Gerry reported on the many actions VFP has initiated or joined in, from protesting the genocide in Gaza to demonstrating at military air shows, pointing out the connection between militarism and the climate crisis, to helping active-duty military personnel who can no longer engage in supporting U.S. wars abroad.
