my favorite hobby honestly is to see people reacting to touch it hahahhahaa i wish i could listen to it again for the first time although i always get the same feeling
i love this album. of course, she’s matured a lot and she’s gone through quite a bit since, but i still love it so much. i think she shines the most in r&b, but the pop-y sound of this album is so good.
You're 100% right about this feeling like a transitional album, yours truly/my everything have always been grouped in my mind as well as sweetener/thank u next and this album very much is in it's own grouping. I think positions stands on its own too
1. Yours Truly (debut album) showed that she isn’t just an actor (victorious/Sam and cat) but she’s also an artist. A good start for her career, lots of Rnb influence and showcased her vocal ability. 2. My Everything (Sophomore Album) this album isn’t cohesive what’s so ever..this album in the fandom is referred to as a “playlist” because the order of the tracks are off…but it was meant to be that way because this album was used to put Ariana Grande out there…as an artist long term. And it worked..songs like break free, problem, love me harder, and one last time…were songs that got her name out there. 3. Dangerous Women - mature Ariana…showing her edm…rocky side of pop..this album was definitely in the middle as you stated. This a huge improvement from her previous work..but then her work after this shows her growth as a artist. 4. Sweetener- new sound…bringing back her RnB and hip hop roots…giving us something new…this album was hated on upon release…it was a 50/50 from the fandoms perceptive…now hands down imo her best work…her fandom needed time to realize that it was good album..it was a grower..arguably her best. 5. Thank U Next - her most critically acclaimed album…nothing else said…very successful..carried lots of trauma…once again proved that she is Ariana Grande…a strong women that’s goes through stuff like any other human do..showed her artistry for sure.. 6. Positions- very mature…rich sounding album…huge Rnb sound…shows that after the trauma she’s experienced years before…she’s ready to settle in with someone…or just ready to be loved/happy..lyrically and vocally her best…which makes this album very relatable.
My everything is overlooked as an album and body of work. It was dedicated to her grandfather who passed. Every song tackles the same theme which is loss. Yes, there’s some commercial hits but overall it followed the theme just not as sonically cohesive.
Leave me lonely still gives me chills, even the snippet in this video 😂😂 Bad Decisions is one that grew on me tbh & I can see what you mean about the growth thing.
I am so happy that this month I will be able to acquire your patreon. I can't wait to have access to the reactions about the little mix you've been doing there. I hope you post Leigh's episode on eat in with Little Mix, because I can't wait to see it anymore, love your reactions! ❤😍

there are two teams sw fans dw fans and they both hate eachother but we actually secretly love both albums but we will still fight to prove that our preferred one is supperior
@@jay-mieyounes373 I'm team both. I say that my fave ari album is Dangerous woman because there's more songs that are just perfect to me but Sweetener just holds a special place for me and has such a distinct comforting vibe
@@jay-mieyounes373 so true. everyone likes thank u next, my everything is just there, great songs but not her best, yours truly is there, good songs but again not her best work, and positions was generally hated but it’s grown a lot on the fandom and is up there with tun. But in terms of favourites, it’s always sw or dw, completely right.
Not only do I love the comparison between Zayn & Ariana but also the commentary about how Ariana recognizes the power of restraint, wielding her voice in both showstopping (“Dangerous Woman") and simple ways ("Thank U, Next") across her catalog. Other powerhouse vocalists like Demi for example, don’t get that, they belt Bb5s, A5s and G5s into every song that it gets tiring and starts becoming less impressive
Man I hear ya, I've been on such an Ariana Grande kick lately. I never really dug into her discography until recently, and I've been blown away. Side note, in 2019 for the Thank U, Next album, she made history topping the charts holding a #1, #2, and #3 position simultaneously for three songs from the same album. Apparently no one had achieved that since The Beatles, 55 years prior. I think that little tidbit of information just kind of reaffirms our shared opinion that she's the best vocalist of our time and that she puts out incredible hit songs.
Ariana is such a comfort for me...all her songs are like a big hug! Even the ones that aren't necessarily supposed to give you that feeling. It's just her voice that's like a comforting blanket wrapping around you. I also think it's her ability to make songs that give you whatever you need to feel comfort. They're either uplifting with a comforting message, or give you a chance to maybe have a good cry or make you dance when you're happy anyways. Damn she's so good
The only album that can compete with this one is thank u next. Other than that, this is my favourite album. She just goes off all the time and every song is so amazing
Such a good reaction video. I had to subscribe and signed up for your patreon to see the full video. Absolutely worth it. Thank you for your content, I can’t wait to see more
Honestly, I think Everyday is probably in my top 5 Ari songs because it just makes me so happy and hypes me up so much anytime I hear it. I know she has so many amazing songs but this one has always been so special to me. It just hits the spot musically for me. And I'm not tired of this song at all yet for some reason
this album means so much to me, came during a year of a friend being killed and a horrible break up. and that’s why let me love u is my favorite feature song of hers. and this album truly got me thru so much. i miss this tour so much. this album has no skips. i will say this is my second favorite album of ari’s after sweetener💚
ive been a big arians fan for a while now so this might be a long reply lol. i definitely agree with this album being a transitional for her but not in terms of production imo. this was the first album where she was saying to everyone "im a grown woman" and kind of being more personal and intentional with her music (my everything, which was before that, kinda took the route of throw everything on thr wall and see what sticks since she wasnt a huge artist like she was when dangerous woman was released). in terms of production i would say sweentener was the transitional period of her artistry because its definitely an experimental album and its her first one where everything on it feels so personal to her. i would love to see your reaction to her perfoming the albul live on the dangerous woman tour!! her vocals are stunning and she adds so much to the songs live which makes it 10 times better. you could either check out the dangerous woman diaries which have bts clips too or watch the performances seperately that were cut from that series and uploaded by fans. im sure you're gonna love it!!!
Ugh I wish I could listen to all of her music for the first time 😩😩 especially moonlight, leave me lonely, thinkin bout you!! 😩 and of course touch it. It’s such a gem!!
If you wanna hear any of the songs live here are my recommendations: Moonlight - dangerous woman world tour Dangerous woman - Disney radio award show 2016 Greedy - summertime ball 2016 or Vevo performances 2016 Leave me lonely - Vevo 2016 Touch it - dangerous woman tour IN TULSA
This album is definitely in the top 3 for me! I’m glad you loved it so much! Tbh when I listened to this in full immediately afterwards I was like I need to see her live and I need to see her sing these songs like is was just so good!! And absolutely going back to her first album it’s so much different than her latest albums and I think a part of it was she wasn’t really writing her own songs in the beginning I’m sure she had some say but she didn’t start writing her own songs till this album and now she writes her own stuff even more so now.. I remember in an old interview or something I read somewhere that Nickelodeon wanted to make her into a pop star but they were like but what will you sing about and so that’s how that was made... Yours Truly isn’t a bad album though it’s great but in a way it doesn’t feel authenticity hers.. in my opinion I think it’s always better when the artist is in full control of the lyrics and music for that deeper connection to come through but she obviously sounded great then and still sounds amazing now but I think every artist always goes through that phase of where do I fit into this industry and I think with Dangerous Woman she definitely secured her place rightfully because people knew of her before this but she wasn’t widely famous until this album and then it all skyrocketed from there... But I love that she continues to go back to that sound she had in her first album and I feel like that comes through a lot in her latest album positions and I’m excited to see what she does next🤗💕
