  • The Prime Minister says the Government is "throwing the kitchen sink" at New Zealand's electricity supply crisis, arguing that anyone who is "serious about climate change" would "support the repeal of the oil and gas ban".
    The Government yesterday said it will address steep electricity prices by acting "with urgency" to reverse the ban on offshore oil and gas exploration, after recent closure proposals at two mills thrust the issue of unsustainable electricity costs back into the spotlight.
