How long do you think somebody could float around in a life jacket at night before they freeze to death? Could you forage in a wetsuit? or would you even want to?

Slendid Cuttle fish. When I was a girl living in W. Aus, my brother and would walk the white beaches looking for cuttle bones for our Cockatoo. My dad rescued him from the roadside. As his wing was broken he couldn’t be returned to the bush. That was 60 years ago and the old man is still talking. He learned to say my mums name and need I say it drove her batty. Thanks for taking us along, again.

I cherish these night time foraging. Not only do I get the gentle sounds of the waves, but I also see the most amazing color. Especially the snake locks anemone. And FINALLY an open strawberry anemone!
Usually they are tucked away. Not anymore. That baby was free and floating in the ebb and flow of the tides. Stunning in both forms. I love all of your videos, but your foraging are the best. I learn something new every single time I watch. Thank you for that John

Hi John, I am accompanying you on this beautiful walk. Surely you know that those prawns are a fantastic bait for bass and limpets are very good with spaghetti. You put them in a pot without water and heat them until the hey come off the shell. At this point you put them in a pan with plenty of olive oil and two cloves of garlic and make them flavor well. Apart you cook some good Italian spaghetti (7 minutes of cooking since the water boils), you grab them with a pair of pliers and put them in the pan together with the limpets, moving them to make them flavour with the seasoning, adding a little bit of cooking water that is rich in starch and a little bit of hot pepper chili.

Hello pal, one of the best if not the best foraging videos yet .
What an array of marine biodiversity local you have .
Thank you for bringing that to our screens with such clarity of image and particularly the in depth narrative of all the species of flora and marine life & your generosity of knowledge on the subject.
    Thank you!
I like many others will look forward to the next installment of your forays on land and sea.
All the best to you and the family.xx

Watching you is better than going to an aquarium. Your knowledge is amazing. Those blue lobsters are treated like gold in the states. People freak out when they catch them. My Mrs and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary on Friday by eating 2 , 3 lb lobsters. They were awesome. Stay well my friend. 👍

We used to get massive basking sharks here in the summer and i've even seen an 'Opah', but you blew my mind with those two massive tuna; I've been 'hooked' on your channel since then... Another fantastic Video Johnnie. I envy you living in Cornwall and so close to the ocean. All my life I had lived close to the ocean even after we moved to Australia. The Beach was no more than 50 yards from our back gate. Unfortunately; we now lived in the bush and well over 100 Kms from the ocean. At least I can go after the fresh water crays in the farm dams, but right now; most of this State, is flooded following heavy rains; one town near the Queensland/New South Wales borer copped well over 100 mm of rain in an hour. Hopefully; the Yabbies which travel from Dam to Dam will be carried with the floods closer to where I live. Cheers my friend!
